This story is getting more than 11000 views which is totally awesome! Keep em coming! Also, a couple of people have been wondering if it was Kenny's doing for that deleted text message last chapter. Well, let me clarify that Kenny had nothing to do with that deleted text message. Don't worry, it will be revealed soon.

Aight, chap 22! Leggo!

Before I started to panick, I immediately stood up and sprang over to my mom's room. I opened the door and turned on the lights. "Mom!" I exclaimed so she could wake up. Luckily, her eyes opened and as soon as she eyed me, she sat upright on the bed.

"Dawn? What happened, is everything okay?" she asked worriedly.

I sat down next to her and started to explain. "Something weird happened. I got a text message saying 'Watch your back' from someone I don't know...and then before I could even show you, it deleted itself."

Mom's eyes had a look of disbelief. "What?"

"I know, it's so weird...not to mention a bit scary. How can a message delete itself?"

"I have no idea honey. Do you have any idea who might have sent you that text?" my mom asked. I thought about it for a while, and then widened my eyes in realization. Of course.

"Kenny!" I said, "I bet he's behind this! He's trying to mess with me." My eyes narrowed at the realization. It was so obvious that he was trying to get revenge, which explained the note and text I received.

My mom nodded. "It's likely. But, Kenny somehow made the text message disappear so that he's untrackable," she said. "He's smart. I'll have to inform David about this," she said, reaching at the desk beside the bed for her phone.

It was currently after twelve midnight. "Do you think he's still awake?"

She dialled his number. "He's a police officer; of course he is," she said, her phone placed gently on her ear. "Hi, David, are you awake? Okay, great. See, my daughter just received a very interesting text message that just mysteriously deleted itself right after she read it. What's that? You want to speak to Dawn? Of course," she said before handing over her cell to me.

I took the phone and spoke. "Hello?"

"Okay, Dawn, what did that message say?" he asked. To be honest, it didn't sound like an officer was questioning me at all. He sounded more concerned than anything.

"It said 'Watch your back' and as soon as I read it, it deleted itself. I mean, how is that possible?!" I exclaimed over the phone.

"Hmm," I heard him say across the phone, "It's not as farfetched as it sounds. We're living in the world of technology, correct? There are hackers over the globe, so a text message that deletes itself shouldn't really be that surprising. And of course, this person doesn't want you to trace him or her," he said.

"It's obviously Kenny behind this!" I exclaimed, my fist tightening with anger, "I just wish you can trace him already and throw him in jail already!"

He sighed. "Yes, we would want that. However, we can't be exactly certain that the person behind this is Kenny," he said.

I rolled my eyes. "That's impossible. Who else could it be?" My mom gestured for me to put it on speaker mode so she could listen to the conversation as well.

"Well didn't you receive a note in your locker today that had the same message?" he asked. My mom looked at me, a bit shocked.

"...Yeah."

"See, now since Kenny has disappeared and is expelled from the school, it really isn't safe to say that Kenny planted that note in your locker." I guess I hadn't really thought about that. "I can't say for sure about the text message, but if you hadn't thrown the note away, we might have been able to trace it."

I groaned, while my mom face-palmed. "I thought it was a prank!"

"David, what should Dawn do? I'm not sending her to school tomorrow," she decided.

I quickly shook my head. "No, I can't miss school! The second part of the dance competition is coming up next week, and this part is with a partner. I have to practice, it's really been a while since I have..." I said.

"Well, maybe it is a prank, but I can't be so sure," David said. "But for now, I want you two to relax. And don't worry Johanna, Dawn will be safe with me, I'll drop her to school myself," he offered. "And Dawn, if you find any more of these notes, then please inform me immediately and don't discard them."

I nodded in understanding. "Got it."

The next morning, as promised, David had arrived early in the morning to drop me to school. Ash usually had taken the initiative to give me a ride to school, but I told him in the morning to just meet me at school. David had even been kind enough to give my mom a ride to work. My mom was extremely tensed; I didn't like to see her stressed but David was there to reassure her.

I looked at David when he had parked in the school's parking lot. "Thanks," I said while smiling as I opened the car door, closing it behind me. I looked behind towards him again, giving him a small smile.

"Be careful," he told me.

I nodded. "No need to worry," I said before walking into the school building.

I looked around for my locker, and opened it to grab the books that I'd need. Thankfully, there wasn't any note in there, and I breathed a sigh of relief. Then I took out my cell for anything suspicious, but my phone's inbox was empty. Maybe this was a prank.

Walking to my first class, I noticed Serena walk across the hallway a bit further from me. I hadn't seen her since Ash's birthday party Saturday-which was probably good news for me. The less she'd be around at school, the slimmer the chances it'd be to find out that Ash and I were dating.

The morning passed around pretty quickly for my good taste, and what made it even better was the fact that everything seemed normal. I was pretty relaxed to say the least, not receiving anything suspicious. Speaking of which, I had managed to tell May, Zoey, Drew, and Gary about the text message.

They all seemed really concerned, and they all reached their own bizarre conclusion of how that text had vanished. May was having trouble believing that such a thing could even be possible, while both Gary and Drew had somehow reached the conclusion that my phone was hacked. Though Zoey was more practical and said that it might be someone using an app.

I wondered what Ash would think. Noticing that the teacher's back was facing us, I cleverly texted Ash from underneath the desk. I needed an excuse to talk to him anyway, since he wasn't in any if my classes that I had this morning so far.

Hey. We need to talk. -Dawn

Ms Caroline still had her back facing towards us, she was lecturing us about the human body. I tried to listen keenly, but I drowned her voice out when I saw a text come in.

Oh no. That's never good. What did i do? :( - Ash

I stared at my phone, a bit dumbfounded. I looked back at the text I sent, and then face-palmed at the typical line that girlfriends use before giving an earful to their boyfriends.

Nothing! sorry...u got the wrong idea. i just wanted to tell u something. - Dawn

Hey u can tell me anything u know that right? go ahead.

"Dawn, are you texting in class?" Ms Caroline's voice suddenly was heard, and I almost fell out of my chair. The phone, still underneath my desk in my hand, then shut off when I pressed the power off button before she could notice.

"No, ma'am," I said, holding up my phone in the air. "It's not even turned on."

She rolled her eyes. "Well it's probably interesting to look at a blank screen with the way you were staring at it," she said dryly, causing some of the students to laugh. "Pay attention, Dawn," she said. I nodded.

Gary, who was beside me, whispered to me once Ms Caroline wasn't noticing. "Nice texting skills," he remarked and I smiled satisfactorily. "Who were you texting? Ash?"

I nodded. "Yeah. I'll talk to him later, though." I definetely didn't want to face Ms Caroline's snarky comment again.

Lunch came around quicker than I thought, and May, Zoey and I were currently seated at one of the cafeteria tables. The cafeteria line was literally so long today that I thought it stretched around for at least half a mile...or maybe I was just exaggerating, but the three of us decided to sit and wait for the line to get shorter.

"So...are you excited about the next part of the competition?" May asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I wonder who my partner's gonna be," I said.

Zoey cringed. "I really hope my partner doesn't end up to be Gary or Drew."

I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? They're great dancers, plus I've learned that Gary and Drew are really chill. They're a bit idiotic," I giggled, "But they're great to talk to."

Zoey shrugged. "I can only see them as guys who want to be the center of attention. But anyways, it'd be pretty cool if you wound up being partners with Ash.." she smirked and then added, "Again."

I blushed at the thought. And then a sudden thought came across my mind. I was competing with my boyfriend. And ironically, this was the same guy that I desperately wanted to beat to prove myself. Looking back to when I first met Ash, I chuckled to myself when I realized things were a bit different now. Of course it didn't mean I was going to give him the time of the day. Girlfriend or not, I still had my motive to be the best.

Coincidentally, my eyes lifted up to see Ash strolling to our table with a tray in his hand. "Hey ladies," he greeted nonchalantly placing the tray on the table. "And hello to my special lady," he said eyeing me before he pecked my lips quickly.

May cringed. "Okay honestly, the janitor's room is just down the hallway, how about you two go in there?"

I blushed while Ash looked at May, feigning hurt. "Geez, no respect for me after I bought you guys lunch?"

"Wait," Zoey said and pointed to the tray, "this is for us?" she asked.

He nodded. "Yeah. Well its for you and May," he said.

"Thanks!"

"Huh? What about me?" I asked, frowning.

He placed his hands in his pockets. "You wanted to tell me something right?" I nodded. "Well I thought maybe we could talk somewhere else, maybe somewhere private? I brought lunch; we could share together if you want."

"The janitor's closet is the best option if you guys want privacy." May winked. I groaned in embarrassment, but I saw Ash smirking, not against the idea.

"Great idea, June," Drew said, sitting down beside her and wrapping and arm around her shoulder. "We could use a bit more privacy." He smirked at her, to which May playfully slapped his arm.

Zoey cringed. "Boys are disgusting."

Ash chuckled and then he looked at me. "So did you wanna go or...?"

Wait, was he talking about the janitor's closet? "Uh, go where exactly?"

"I was thinking maybe a classroom or maybe at the back of the school," he suggested.

"Dude, getting frisky in the classroom is downright-" Drew was cut off.

"Can you zip it?" Ash shot him a glare, while Drew grinned. My cheeks were red again when Ash looked at me. "So can we go now?"

"Sure."

We ended up sitting in a grassy area outside of the school. This area didn't really have a lot of students hanging here, which is why it made the perfect spot to talk to Ash about the text. The only reason why we wanted privacy was because Ash didn't want Serena to notice the two of us together.

The made my hair sway, and I could see Ash stare at me slightly before he offered me a tuna sandwich. I smiled, taking a bite. "So, what'd you want to tell me? You didn't reply to my text."

I swallowed before replying," Yeah, sorry. Ms Caroline was watching me. But yeah anyways, I got a weird text last night telling me to watch my back. And right after I read it, it deleted itself."

Ash took a sharp intake of breath. "That's weird."

I nodded. "Yeah. I told Officer David about it."

"What'd he say?"

"He said it's strange but he also said that whoever this person is, is trying not to be tracked down."

Ash nodded. "Yeah, that would make sense." I continued eating, and he took a bite from his own sandwich and swallowed. "Did anything else weird happen?"

"Yeah, I got a note in my locker yesterday saying the same thing," I said, and Ash raised an eyebrow. "But I threw it away...don't give me that look, I thought it was a prank."

Ash shook his head in disbelief. "We have to find this person," he said, and then he had a look. "Do you think it's Kenny?"

I looked at him. "I thought it was, but it can't be. There's no way Kenny put that note in my locker."

Ash sighed. "Yeah you have a point. I just wish there was some way we could...wait," he said, looking like he had a thought. "Didn't the school upgrade their security a couple of days ago?" I nodded. "Well, the only way to see who put that note in your locker is through the surveillance cameras."

I widened my eyes. Of course. Why didn't I think of that? "Ash, you're a genius!" I grinned.

Ash popped the back of his collar smugly. "Tell me something I don't know."

I rolled my eyes. "Well let's go look at the footage," I said.

He frowned. "We can't right now, the footage is in the principal's office and he's not in. I heard he won't be until the end of the day."

I groaned. "Okay, whatever, I can wait," I said, biting into the sandwich. I couldn't wait to expose that person who was messing with me.

Ash noticed my look. "Don't worry, it'll be fine," he said, touching my hand lightly. "By the way, congrats on making it to the second round."

I smiled. "You too."

"You do realize we're now competing against each other now right?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said and continued. "But that's not stopping me from becoming the dancing legend. Just because I'm your girlfriend doesn't mean I'm gonna go soft on you, Ketchum."

He smirked. "Same here, Berlitz." Then he looked at my lips briefly. "You got some breadcrumbs there." he pointed at my lips. Embarrassed, I quickly took a napkin out, proceeding to wipe it but before I could, I found myself being pulled into Ash's lap, the napkin falling out of my hand.

He used his thumb to wipe the breadcrumbs off the corner of my lips, and I closed my eyes as I felt his warm breath slightly fanning my face. My heart was already on overdrive with his simple touch, and I opened my eyes to find him slightly smirking, as if he knew what effect he had on me.

With his hand encircling around my waist and my legs around his waist, his lips quickly found mine. Instantly, heat travelled my entire body, and I didn't hesitate to kiss back. The kiss quickly became passionate as his hand on my waist tightened, and the kiss deepened. This kiss was different from our first kiss, where it was gentle and delicate. Ash took dominating control over this kiss, and it was enough to almost make me swoon.

Ash's lips released, and just when I thought he had enough, he started kissing against my jaw lightly and then started to kiss my neck. I gasped slightly, but unconsciously angled my neck to give him more access. I could feel him smirk against my neck. "You know, the janitor's closet seems like a good idea right now," he mumbled.

"Shut up," I said breathlessly. He chuckled in response and lifted his head to face me again. "I can't believe we just made out in school."

"I can't believe we're only doing it now," he joked to which I shoved him playfully, but I still found myself smiling.

"Okay, guys, now as you know, the second round of the dance competition is coming up next week Saturday, and this part of the competition entails you guys dancing with a partner that will be given to you. However," Ms Smith paused, "You guys will have to figure out who your partner is based on clues that I will give you."

Gary raised his hand. "How are we supposed to find our partner and practice with them in only one week? That's not enough time," Gary said. Other members of the dance club nodded, agreeing with the spiky haired male.

"Yeah, last year we never had to do this," Drew said. I saw May nod beside him.

Ms. Smith raised her hands in a calm manner. "I understand your concern, guys. Which is why, you're all going to find your partners right now," she said. I raised my eyebrows. "Now, if you guys would pay attention to the screen in front of you," she gestured to the wall in which the computer screen was being projected. "I'm going to demonstrate for you guys how quickly you're going to find your dancing partners. First, a picture of a member is going to pop up on the screen," she said as a random ugly looking guy with buck teeth was being displayed. Ms Smith pressed a button before a couple of sentences appeared below the picture. "And the computer will select a random clue of his dance partner, in which he was to figure out."

I read the clues underneath the picture. "Your dancing partner's main style is hip hop and R&B, and is remembered in this school for a famous one hundred eighty degree spin in the air."

Ms. Smith nodded. "Yes, well obviously this is a demonstration, so nobody would be able to narrow this clue down. And, as you can see, the computer will give obvious hints or at least, hints that most of you guys should get. It won't be that hard."

"How does the computer know all of this?" May asked.

Ms Smith smiled. "Technology can be amazing," she said cheekily. "Okay, so let's get started guys," she said and pressed a button on the screen. To my surprise, there was a picture of me on the screen. I widened my eyes, not expecting to be first. "Okay, Dawn, the computer selected you first," she said, looking at me. "Let's see the clue about your dancing partner." She pressed a button, allowing sentences to be displayed under my picture.

"Cheers, mate! Your dancing partner is someone who's been known as the dancing legend for quite a while in this school, and has been undefeated," I read aloud, and grinned towards Ash, who just chuckled. Ms. Smith wasn't lying when she said the clues would be easy. "My dancing partner's Ash Ketchum."

"Lucky," May said, giggling.

"Okay, so Dawn and Ash," Ms Smith said, and the two of our pictures appeared side by side. "Oh, I forgot to mention something. In this part of the competition, you guys will not be allowed to freestyle and choose your own dance. This time, a dance will be given to you. So, for Ash and Dawn, your dance style will be..." she pressed a button, and a bunch of letters were forming together on the screen. "Lyrical dance!" she exclaimed. "Alright, so you guys will have to showcase a lyrical dance to the judges on Saturday in a duo. Okay?" she looked at the two of us, and we nodded. I was lucky to be paired up with Ash; maybe the computer was secretly shipping us together. I smiled at the thought.

"Okay, up next is..." she looked at the screen. "Gary."

Gary grinned. "Sweet."

The process repeated, and sentences were displayed underneath his picture. "Your dancing partner's style is popping and locking, and has the hair color of a cabbage."

"Pft, easy, that's Drew," he said, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair coolly.

Drew narrowed his eyes at the computer. "Is that screen insulting my beautiful hair?"

May giggled. "See, even the computer told you that you were a cabbage head." Drew rolled his eyes.

Drew and Gary's picture appeared together and random letter were forming on a screen to spell out a word. "Tap dance?!" they both exclaimed in unison.

"Well...that's gonna be embarrassing," Gary sighed.

May looked at Gary in disbelief. "Tap dancing is awesome! There's nothing to be embarrassed about." Gary just shrugged in response.

The processes continued for a while. May's partner for the second round ended up to be Misty and Zoey's partner ended up to be someone named Micheal Adams. Once everyone found their partners, we were instructed to practice the dancing style that was being given to us for the week. I glanced at Ash, who smiled. We had a chance of dancing together this time, which was really fortunate for us.

After dance ended, Ash and I walked into Mr. Francis's office, and we were seated in the waiting area where the secretary was working. A few minutes passed until I grew impatient. "Excuse me," I said walking up to the secretary's desk. Ash followed. "We've been waiting twenty minutes already, it's really important that we see Mr. Francis right now."

The secretary rolled her eyes and adjusted her glasses. "Listen, I already told you that he's busy. I can't say when he'll be available."

I was about to protest when Ash cut in. "It's fine." I gaped at him unbelievable. "We can wait a few more minutes," he said, his eyes indicating for me to listen to him. I sighed and we both walked back to our seats.

He noticed me crossing my arms. "Relax," he said to me.

I looked at him apologetically. "Sorry...it's just that I wanna catch this person redhanded. I'm getting impatient."

"I know. Hopefully we'll go in soon," he said.

Fortunately the secretary called us over in that exact time. "He's ready for you, you can go in," she said. We both gave our thanks before going in Mr. Francis's office.

He was seated in his leather rotating chair, and he smiled when his eyes caught us. "Ash...Dawn, I'm very sorry about keeping you. I was busy catching up on work and I had to be away this morning due to an emergency," he explained.

Ash took a seat, and I took a seat beside him. "Don't worry about it, Mr. Francis," he said.

"So what can I do for you two?" he asked.

"We were hoping you could show us your camera footage from yesterday. The footage does cover the entire school, right?" I asked.

He nodded. "Of course, everything but the classrooms and bathrooms. But, tell me, why do you need to see the footage?"

"It's really important sir. Yesterday someone put a note in my locker that had a threatening message. I wanna see for myself who it is." I explained.

"Yeah," Ash added, "And that's only possible if we see the footage for ourselves."

He nodded. "Of course. I understand. It'll be good for me as well. Threatening other students is not tolerated at all in this institution," he said, turning his rotating chair to grab what I noticed was a remote control. He pointed towards the TV screen above us, and selected a few options on the drop down menu. The TV screen turned black before a few scenes were rewinded. "Yesterday, you say? What's your locker number?"

"Locker 209," I said, and we both paid attention to the screen. It was paused before he played the scene.

The camera seemed to be focusing on Ash and I. "What's your first class again?" Ash had asked me, and I saw myself about to answer when I saw Officer David exit the principal's office.

"You have to fast forward, I bet someone planted the note sometime after Officer David spoke to you," I said to Mr. Francis. He pressed the button, and I saw the scene changing, and students were moving around a bit. Everything seemed normal, which was a bit weird.

"Wait, pause!" Ash suddenly exclaimed, and the scene was paused. "Can you rewind back?" he asked, and Mr. Francis nodded before a few scenes were played back. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion; what did Ash see? "Okay, playback."

The camera focused on a silhouette of a person at first, but as the person came forward, all we could see was a figure wearing all black, as the person neared towards my locker. The person looked around for a bit, and the hallway was empty, before the figure carefully slipped the very same note through the vent of my locker. The person looked behind, and walked away nonchalantly.

I looked at the screen in disbelief. "That...didn't do any good! That person clearly concealed his identity, how am I going to find out who it is?"

Mr. Francis looked at me. "Well, maybe we can zoom in," he suggested. I nodded and turned my head at the TV screen again.

This time, the camera displayed a close up of the figure, as the person neared towards my locker, repeating the same thing. We continued to watch it for a countless amount of times. "Ugh, this is hopeless. The person even wore a mask," I pointed out.

"It's like the person is trying really hard to escape the camera," Ash commented. I sighed in exasperation. "Well, why don't you show this tape to David? This could be helpful to him, maybe he might find a clue."

I nodded in agreement. If there was anyone who could help, it was Officer David. "Yeah, you're right. Mr, Francis," I turned to him, "Can we please borrow this footage? I'm going to show it to Officer David, he might be able to figure out who this person is."

Mr. Francis nodded. "By all means, please do," he gestured with his hand politely. I smiled before he shuffled through some drawers. He brought out a pen drive and typed on his computer screen for a while, before he plugged in the pen drive. After typing again, he took out the pen drive and then handed it to us. "I just transferred the video footage to this pen drive."

"Thank you so much," Ash said.

"You're welcome, and if there's anything else you need, don't hesitate to ask."

We nodded, before we glanced at each other and walked out of the office.

We walked out of the school building when we suddenly saw a familiar honey blonde, with her arms crossed. She seemed to have a death glare situated on her face. I glanced at Ash before she walked up to us. "So...what's your excuse for being with her again?" she looked at me in disgust and then looked up at Ash.

"Chill, woman. I don't need to give you an explanation."

She put a hand on her hip. "What did you say to me?"

"I said what you heard," Ash said, seeming unfazed.

Serena narrowed her eyes. "You know the way you're standing next to Dawn says something. It's almost as if you're dating her," she said, crossing her arms.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, sure. Anybody who stands next to Ash must be dating him. Drew, Gary and Ash are pretty close and they probably have a threesome every other day," I replied dryly. Ash chuckled at what I said.

"Shut it!"

I decided to have a bit of fun. "We're being paired up for this round of the dance competition. I'd absolutely love it if you were to come support your boyfriend this Saturday," I said, with a fake amount of enthusiasm.

"I...wouldn't miss it," she said through gritted teeth.

"Thanks. You're the best, Serena," Ash said, grinning as he hugged her. He quickly released. "Well, we gotta go and practice our dancing and stuff. See you around," he said before we walked out of the school building, leaving Serena behind.

Once the coast was clear, Ash looked at me. "Well that was a close call," he said.

"Yeah," I said, "Did you see her face? Priceless!" I laughed.

Ash crossed his arms. "A threesome with Drew and Gary? Really?"

I shrugged, smiling innocently. He rolled his eyes before we both then noticed Officer David approaching us. His vehicle was currently parked somewhere, and before he could even greet us, I cut to the chase. "It's a good thing you're here," I said and then held up the pen drive. "We have something interesting to show you."

He looked at the pen drive and gestured for us to follow him to his vehicle. "Let's go."

Ahhhhh, I love creating suspense. *sips tea*

So my trip was really awesome and was relaxing. I had a lot of fun! Also, when I was coming back to Belize, this extremely cuutteee guy sat next to me in the flight. But since I'm a bit shy and all in real life, I couldn't really say anything to him. Well, he had fallen asleep so I couldn't say anything anyway. He was a tourist from the US, sooooo I'm prob never gonna see him again. :(

Anyways, that's enough about my life story. I hope you guys enjoyed the update! Who do you think is the person messing with Dawn? Remember it's not Kenny. Take a guess, you guys are smart!

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you guys next time!
