Quicknote: Hey guys, Thanks for sticking with this story for soooo long. With the way I wrote before. I'm surprised I had any likes, and for that. I feel happy, very happy and honored that my story was read, and liked. Though I do plan on editing some of my previous writings, for errors and grammar mistakes. I just ask for some patience till they are fixed. Now that it has been quiet a few years since I have touched this story, let alone a story at all in those years. I asked for more patience that you can all bear with me as I get back into the grove of writing, get the characters who are a tad OC, back into character once more, and improve in my grammar and my odd writing style with it.

Anyways! I hope you all enjoy this long awaited chapter!

Chapter Eight

Rin rushed through her dinner at a speed then she usually ate. Kagome had nit and picked through most of the meal, her attention wondering from the food one her plate, to the room she sat in. She admired the decor of the room. From the simple wooden floor, which was very clean and seemed almost new, to the modern looking chairs they sat upon, along with the table. Trying to figure out how or where he got this almost modern seeming table ware, she shook the thought from her head as Rin nearly jumped from her seat, causing Kagome to jump, slightly startled.

"Done! can we g now, Lady Kagome?!" Rin asked in such eagerness, that she was nearly jumping in her spot near the table, that Kagome couldn't help but smile and nod her head.

"Yes, we may." Kagome said kindly, as she wiped her mouth with the soft fabric, and stood from the table. She looked to the maid, gave a quick nod and bow in thanks for the food, before Rin took her head and begun rushing her out of the dinning hall. Kagome smiled the while way.

Rin talked on an on about the palace and each door they passed as they made their way around the rather large estate. Rin seemed to know every hall and every turn to every door. Kagome's head was spinning with all of it, that she knew that she would still get lost, even if she stayed here for a few days. Taking in a deep breath, Rin had stopped before two rather large wide doors. Their frame was circular on the top, and the doors seemed to be made of maple, her guess from their deep color.

"And this.. This is my favorite place." Rin said with glee, as she turned and pushed opened one of the large doors with both of her hands. The door moved slowly, obliviously heavy, but the tiny girl seemed to not mind as she pushed it open enough for them to walk through. Grabbed Kagome's hand and lead her through.

On the other side was a rather large garden. it sat almost in the center of the large estate, as the building seemed to wrap around it, blending in with the trees and the natural feel the garden seem to give off. Sakura trees dotted the large garden, and a small stream lead from a decent sized pound along the west side of the garden, with a large stone lining the back of the pound, it had a small stream of clear water running down the curves and slopes of it, and into the pound. From the pound the water ran right under the south side of the garden and the wall there, leading to no where. With Kagome's sudden increase in her sense, with her new transformation, she was able to take in all the different scents around her, as well as the mingled scents they combined together. Hear the splashing of a fish jump from above the water to catch a fluttering bug, and splash back down. The sound of the trickling water as it washed over each rock, the cue of the birds nuzzling into the trees branches. This places was just amazing in everything from sight to scent and sound. She begun to wonder if the grass looked just as soft as it looked, or if the flowers that surrounded the walls, in all colors, felt just as silky as they looked from the spot she stood in.

Sitting near a large maple tree that was just beginning to bloom, sat a sturdy looking bench, to the north of the garden sat a plain path of earth that looked freshly dug up, the sweet scent of fresh dug Earth on the gentle breeze confirmed that. "Look, lady Kagome. I'm learning to grow my own herbs!" Rin said cheerfully, grabbing Kagome's hand and dragging her over towards the freshly dug patch. Kagome smiled, and looked at it, then gave Rin an approved nod. "You've done a wonderful job, Rin." She approved of towards the young girl, as she spun around to get a better look at the garden. "This place is amazing."

"I know!" Rin said cheerfully with a small bounce. "I was surprised Lord Sesshomaru had this here. Said I can come here when ever I want, 'cause it's protected on all sides by the castle." She nodded matter of factly , as she took Kagome's hand once more and lead her over to the pond, and begun telling her tales on how she caught some of the fish here, as well as how aster Jaken had fallen in one day after Rin accidentally tripped into him and pushed him. Kagome was laughing with the girl as she told the story, as she ushered the girl inside, as the sun had begun setting quiet a bit ago, and air was beginning to chill to quickly, plus the girl kept yawning in between her story telling, that she knew it was getting rather late.

Once they where inside, Kagome asked Rin to show her where her room was, then lead her to own room, so they could rest for the night. Rin was eager to show the way, first Showing Kagome her own room, then that Rin's was just three doors down the hall. Once Kagome was assured that the girl was comfortable in her room for sleep, Kagome turned and headed for her room, only pausing at the door, with a thoughtful expression. "Not once today have I thought about going home, or back to Inuyasha." She mumbled to her self, turning so that she leaned against the door, instead of opening it. "I wonder if I should go back.." She thought aloud, then shook her head, and stomped her foot on the soft carpet. "No!" She said in a loud whisper. "He deserved that, and I wont be going back!" Turning she opened the door and nearly slammed it behind her, in her random rage fit. Walking over to her bed, she contemplated laying down, but was so worked up again. The images of the past few days blowing past her mind, that she could not sit still.

Going back out her door, she made her way down the hall way. Somehow she was able to remember each turn she needed to get to where she wanted. Shortly coming to a stop before those large Maple doors once more. Opening the rather heavy door, wondering mildly how Rin opened them, she steeped out into the cool night air finding that the garden now had a few paper lanterns light around the edges, giving it a soft warm glow, that mimicked the moon that was glowing above, as it rose into the sky.

Taking in a deep breath, she walked over to the sturdy bench and sat upon the old wood. There she sat and thought, thought and sat for what seemed like a long time. At times she would get up and walked around, taking in the different scents of the trees around her, her ears twitching upon her head to the sound of night life chirping around her, to the feel of the flowers she wondered about before. She even took a few moments, After looking around to see if anyone was around, to lay in the soft grass under the trees with a fullfilled sigh. Glad it was a soft as she thought it would be, as she glanced up at the sky at the stars she would look up at every night, but tonight they seemed less bright and different. The lanterns had began to dim by the time she had fallen asleep curled up on the soft grass, curled into a ball under her kimono, a small peaceful look upon her face. It was like that that she was found by the owner of the castle, who did nothing more then give her a quick glance before turning and walking back into the castle as if he saw nothing of interest at all there.
