Chapter Twelve

"Shippo, Miroku, Sango!" Kagome's ears perked up at bit at seeing her friends before her, she knew she recognized those voices, and she was beyond happy to see them. It's been to long since she had last seen them, so much so, that actually time didn't matter, it felt like forever.

"Kagome?" Miroku blinked confused and shocked.

"Kagome!" Shippo and Sango said in one burst and ran the few feet to met the girl in a hug, Shippo hugging her last and staying in her arms while Kagome talked to them.

"It's so good to see you guy again." Kagome siled happily as she looked to each, Miroku approached then, still confused, but smiling.

"It's good to see you too, kagome. My my you are looking good in that Kimono." He stated, getting a hit on the head by Sango and frowned. "What? i was just commenting how nice she looked in one of those kimono's over her usual wear." he frowned. Sango rolled her eyes, Kagome laughed, with a light blush. He did have a good point, today she had chosen to wear one of the newer Kimono she had gotten, a Light pink Kimono, with a darker pink inner Kimono, and matching Obi. The outside kimono had small flowers imprinted through out it, in the same dark Pink.

"Thank you Miroku." She smiled, then blinked as realization hit her. "Guys, come with me. We are having lunch, and I don't want to leave them alone for to long" Kagome said, walking back into the forest, Sango and Miroku shared a knowing look before following.

Kagome lead the small group back towards he river and to the makeshift camp site they had made for their lunch break. Jaken was sitting where she left him. Rin was standing near Ah-Un feeding him leaves off of a branch. "Do not go running off like that again, Onna! Nearly gave us a scare.. Not that I care any way.. but..."

"Shut it Jaken. I brought friends." Kagome warned, cutting off the Imp demon in mid sentence who huffed him self up to make him look bigger.

"How dare you talk to me like that! Why.. If Lord Sesshomaru found out..." Jaken paused when he saw a flash of white.

"Saw what, Jaken?" Sesshomaru sated, narrowing his eyes dangerously upon the Imp, Jaken jumped from his seat on the ground and bowed before the black boots.

"I'm sorry y lord... it's just that this human had the right too." Jaken begun his story, Sesshomaru was paying him no mind and walk past him. He stopped before Kagome and looked to the two behind her and the kitsune in her hand.

"I hope you don't mind. I heard them walking by, and wanted to catch up for a few things. They wont stay long." Kagome stated, facing his straight on, he only eyed her once before looking off.

"We leave in ten minutes." Was his only answer, as he walked off into the forest once more. Kagome let out a breath she was holding in and turned to face the duo behind her. Shippo had fallen silent in her arms, from being so near to Sesshomaru, he didn't know what to say.

"So it is true." Sango blinked.

"What is?" kagome asked, blinking, leading them over to the fire, and her fish that awaited her. She split hers with the group as they sat near her.

"That you are traveling with Lord Sesshomaru." Miroku stated, slowly bitting on his part of fish.

"How'd you guys hear about that?" Kagome asked. "But yea it's true, obviously."

"Well.." Shippo said around a bite of fish. "Inuyasha came running into the camp the other night really angry and muttering things, and woke me up. I didn't hear much, but from what sango said. he mentioned that he was angry about you, and about you traveling with Sesshomaru over him. or something like that." He took another bite, and looked to Miroku to take over.

"Basically what Shippo here said, It is true. About three nights or so ago, Inuyasha came walking by Keade's village. Quiet angered about something. He just kept muttering about curses and stupid women, and how he wanted to kill his brother."

"We were able to get something out of him about you leaving the group, and traveling with Sesshomaru. How did that happen any way?" Sango asked with slight confused worry and wonder.

Kagome swallowed the food she was chewing on, and went into the story on how the day she found out about her transformation, a story on how it happened she had not told them of, even though they had seen her in this form when it first happened, she refused to answer any of their questions till now. She explained how she left that night, ran into Rin and Jaken and how they where being chased, to fighting off demons, to not remembering much else, to waking up In Sesshomaru's castle because Rin had asked him to save Kagome, to when she ran across Inuyasha a few days back, till up to this moment when she ran across them.

"wow a lot has happened in a few days." miroku nodded. "No wonder Inuyasha was angry."

"Serves that Hanyōu right." Shippo nodded, jumping when Sesshomaru came through the forest and they all stood.

"Time to leave." he stated evenly, his gaze moving over each of those in the group before turning and walking off. kagome went about helping Rin gather the rest of their clothing and stuff it into the bags on the two headed dragon, before Jaken took the reins this time and walked off.

"Would it be okay, if we followed a little ways?" Sango asked, not wanting to leave her friend yet. Kagome shrugged.

"If he has a problem with it. I'm sure he'll say something." kagome said, letting shippo sit upon her shoulder, her had finding RIn's.

"I don't think he will mind." Rin finally said something. "I mean... I want you guys to join. So that should be good enough, right?" She looked up to Kagome and Kagome nodded with a smile.

"Then let's go." Kagome said as the group begun moving out to who knew where, with three extra members.
