Chapter 14
Inuyasha sighed, as his legged bobbed up and down as he sat around a small fire. Miroku and Sango where sound asleep from the fire next to him, Kirara tucked softly in Sango's arm. Shippo was acutally sleeping closer to him, though not sure why, other then to bug him, Inuyasha payed him nearly no mind. Lately his mind has been else where, though it has been days upon days since that wish was made and the incident that followed, something was still bugging him. Something felt off, like something was missing. It left him restless. - more then normal anyway - and antsy. He could hardly sleep at night, odd dreams plaguing his few hours of sleep, when he woke, he woke feeling empty, but could not place the feeling. Though every morning he would look for Kagome, and with out fail every morning when he realized she was not with him, he would feel... odd. With that came the memories of the past few weeks, and with it rage.
Every day it has been the same thing, everyday he could not find peace in anything, even hunting naraku or killing something for a jewel shard. Something he was having problems finding and would leave him even more ticked off. Sango and Miroku hardly spoke to him, and Shippo tried - but always failed - to cheer him up, which ended up with Shippo picking on him, and in the end, Shippo always getting hit on the head, then Inuyasha getting yelled at by the two humans who followed him.
Growling, he put his hand on his leg to try and get it to stop bouncing, it didn't work. He really begun to wonder why the group had come back to him, - minus one miko - and had decided to stay. He was irritable and grouchy, as he heard them say, more then normal. He wasn't sure why they stuck around, though a part of him was glad they did, mostly he just found it more annoying and it slowed him down.
Sighing once more he got up from his spot and moved about the camp site. It had been to many nights of restlessness, that he didn't even realize he had circled the camp site four times before he came to a stop and looked up at the sky, a silver streak whizzed by, with a bright white orb attached it, followed by another, then another. He raised his face to the sky and took a sniff of the air, his brows knitted together. Then a thought hit him, as he gave a small grin and raced off into the trees.
He knew then, that the quicker he found the jewel shards, the quicker he could become a full demon and forget his troubles. and a sure better way of fining the jewel shards was a miko who could sense them, though he had lost his current miko to his stupid wish, he was sure there was at least ONE more miko who could sense out the shards, now all he had to do was find said miko, and the path of floating soul collectors before him, were leading him down the right path.
AN:I am HORRIBLY SORRY! for the late chapter, and the super duper fail of shortness of this chapter... I hit a snag and could not for the life of me, get anything out for this chapter. After staring at it for days and days. I gave up.. And some how in the process figured out the last chapter for this story.. Or rather.. Three paragraphs of the last chapter, and how I want this to end. Now that I have an idea of the parring I want, and how I do want this to end, (Though I cant tell you all, or it will be ruined for the rest of the story) I'm hoping posting this tiny bit will give me more room to start a fresh new chapters, while adding in the idea of how I want more things to go. Please enjoy and I thank everyone for staying with me so far.
ALSO! I'm very happy with the increaed number of followers for this story! My only wish... Is to get more reviews to Match the number of people following. I like hearing input on the story and any ideas of anything you might want to see in up coming chapters. Please, please, please review~~~
