-At the library-

Sarah looked around and saw many books she thought Liri would like although upon inspection most of them were picture books for kids. Still looking for an actual book for Liri she looked towards Essel for her opinion on books. Essel was standing by a shelf of books with her hand on a one of the books on the shelf.

"Do you know any good historical books here?" Sarah said trying to make small talk.

Essel gave no response and was by the shelf with her hand on the same book.

"Hello?" Sarah said trying to get her attention.

Essel still didn't move and something snapped in her mind. She knew Essel was frozen and looked around seeing that everybody else was frozen. These were the powers of gods, Karna Masta did this many times and being his disciple she was immune to it. She ran out of library to check on the source of this, hoping Liri and maybe Hayden was safe.

-At the street-

Panicked and worried for his life Hayden's brain was scrambling to find a believable answer and an answer that wouldn't outright give away that he was a summoner. He took a deep breath.

"You've been described in books I've read and… and… A friend of mine told me about Kannon." Hayden said as quick as he could.

"I find your explanation lacking. There should be no evidence left of the Kannon incident and the Divine 10 has been disbanded thousands of years ago. If you value your life I suggest you stop trying to fool me." Maxwell's voice echoed out of her conveying her emotion. Her spear started to glow and the clouds started to shock.

"He's just my summoned unit he's nothing more." Liri cried out hoping to save Hayden from Maxwell's wrath.

"A summoned unit. From Karna Masta's blessing? You couldn't even pick out a valid excuse could you? Units from Karna's Blessing can't talk yet you dare claim that he is!" Maxwell's said with great displeasure

Hayden thinks through his experience and remembers how none of the units had mouths, so he knew she had a point but for some reason never thought about it much. Hayden quickly thinking a way out of the situation.

'Maybe if I just tell her we wont tell anybody else she will leave us alone?'

"We-" Hayden said.

"But he is one we aren't lying. He came out of the gate." Liri insisted.

Liri quickly pulled out her bag and was digging furiously. Throwing whatever was on top onto the floor to look further. Liri found a gem and showed it to Maxwell.

-Just outside the library-

Sarah saw a sea of people not moving and concentrated on looking for Liri and Hayden in the crowd. She closed her eyes and focused to try and see where the time stopping magic came from. She found the source and started running that direction. She saw Liri and Hayden being terrified inside a sphere with someone she didn't recognize. It looked like Liri was giving her gem to this person, maybe they were getting robbed Sarah thought. She hurried to their location using her abilities to jump above the crowd.

"Liri, Haden!" She shouted. While kicking at the other person.

Maxwell dodged the kick by moving aside but never even looked at the direction of Sarah.

"Sarah" Liri and Hayden said in unison.

-At the library just after Sarah had gone outside-

"Wow it really took you that long to notice." Essel said in a disappointing tone.

She placed the book back and went to the second floor of the library. She exited the room through the windows. She quickly walked on top of buildings and sometimes through the buildings to get a good view of the commotion. Upon being close enough to where Liri and Hayden were she crouched down to look at them while still being out of sight.

"That girl looks familiar. Someone strong enough to freeze the entire Tower of Morgan." Essel said to herself.

"That can't possibly be her, she's dead. Lets see where this goes." Essel said while waiting patiently.

-At the street-

"Liri, Hayden are you alright?" Sarah said while taking a stance against Maxwell.

"Wait Sarah she's not an enemy' Liri said quickly.

The spear that was next to Hayden flew towards Maxwell who caught it in one hand and now wielding it in two hands.

"You say you're summoners but you are just thieves aren't you. That gem isn't yours but thought it would be of some profit did you? Although I must say for thieves to have someone strong enough to not get frozen is quite impressive. Now Disappear." Maxwell said furiously as she threw her spear at Sarah.

Sarah prepared to block it but instinctively knew she really couldn't take a blow like this. She was a lot more powerful than Sarah thought. As the spear was flying Hayden went in front of Sarah and crossed his swords where the spear would hit. There were sparks and Hayden's grunting but Hayden didn't move back an inch. As he was blocking it the four gems in his swords started to glow brighter and brighter. Hayden managed to push back the spear and the sphere shattered. Time started to move again. The spear disappeared and so did Maxwell.

Tired and catching his breath Hayden fell to his knees.

"Hayden are you alright" Liri said worryingly.

"Yes… I just… Need a bit… Of rest." Hayden said as he fainted on the floor.

"Lets get him to a hospital." Sarah said as he picked up his body.

"How did he manage to block that spear? Is he really that strong?" Sarah thought to herself.

-At the rooftop-

"Never a dull moment with you is there Hayden?" Essel said.

She ran back to the library hopping on rooftops again so that she could keep her cover on the library.

"To think she would be back. Maybe Karna Masta will give me a reward if I told him about her. But that will have to wait until I get Hayden." She said quietly.

"To break that person's attack like that and to shatter that sphere, how many more secrets do you have Hayden."
