Welp I'm sure most of you saw this coming from about a mile away but well...yeah this story is pretty much dead/ discontinued. The main reason being I just don't know what to do with this story and looking back on the earlier chapters kind of fill me with...well less than pleasant thoughts.

To be blunt, this story sucks and reading the crap I threw out there makes me cringe a fair bit. It's filled with poor grammar, superfluous drama, awful dialogue, and just bad characterization. Don't get me wrong the concept is surely there but the execution is woefully lacking. You all deserve better, and far more importantly, Tali deserves better. It may take some time but I want to get this whole yandere Tali thing right, So I'll be doing a kind of retcon thing where I take the concept but start in mass effect 2. I want to take my time with this new story, I don't want to rush like I did here, and I want it to be a complete story, not just some compilation of "wow look how crazy this chick is" moments. My overwatch story is in a very similar boat but that's a whole other topic of discussion.

So yeah, this little note will be the end of this story. I'm sorry if the update thing annoyed/ mislead you but I didn't think there was a better way to get this message out there. Be on the lookout for my second attempt at this however, because I really really want to get this right...for Tali.

Now as a bit of a make up/ peace offering about the whole "new chapter just for an update" thing here's a small extra thing. Think of it as a "bad end" for this story I guess.

The whole Ilos mission wasn't supposed to be simple or easy by any means. A mass relay only recently discovered, an ancient Prothean world, and the impending extinction of the whole galaxy...nothing simple at all.

As Shepard gazed at the lifeless body of his squad-mate and best friend Garrus Vakarian he couldn't help but wish for the simpler times of 30 minutes ago...before...

He felt hands grab a hold of his head to turn his attention away from grieving his recently departed friend. Instead he was forced to focus on two dulled lights shining at him behind a visor.

"John...don't get distracted, this is the beginning of our new life together." Tali gently coed as she cradled his head, taking full advantage of his currently incapacitated state.

Yes...he missed the time of 30 minutes ago. Before they had meet a Prothean AI who had told them about the plight and eventual extinction of the Prothean race. Before it had told them of the last ditch effort they had taken to safe themselves, hiding away in stasis pods as the galaxy fell apart. Before Tali had asked how much power the facility had left and received an answer explaining there was enough to sustain two pods for another "cycle". Before Tali had...betrayed them, quickly shoving a needle into Shepard's neck like she had done so many nights ago, immobilizing him. Before he fell to floor, hanging onto conciseness only to see his best friend gunned down by his deranged lover.

She moved to drag him into a empty stasis pod, receiving instructions on how they operated the indifferent AI. "You don't have to worry about the council, Saren, Reapers, or anything else John...you can just be happy now...with me." As he was nestled into the pod she stood over him as it began to close.

"Don't worry John, this is just the beginning for us."
