Well I am back after some time (A long... long... LONG! time.) and I have returned. I am sorry for not always updating but I am busy with IRL stuff out of this. Other stories, school, work, so yeah I am very busy so I am sorry for taking so long. I am kind of losing my mojo with the story, trying to bring it back up and will most likely be back up when a certain arc come into place. Anyways onto the review responses:
Aeona316: You know you can literally just look up Year 1 armor.
Edboy4926: They can and they will but it's not out of proof, just history.
Tf330129: Thanks.
Jebest4781: Thanks, and it will.
Spartan120: Honestly I just wanted to speed up the chapter so yeah.
Josephguy217: Thanks.
Guest 1: Yes.
Human Dragon: Same here. And for the Female Guardian yes... but no Kara.
Overwatch: We will see.
Guest 2: We will see.
Arklyte: Why would I put in caps, it just makes it seem like I'm yelling. I ONLY DO CAPS WHEN SOMEONE IS YELLING! Anyways the stories are not an ultimatum, I just wanted a vote on what my last(s) stories can be so I have an appropriate number of stories to work on. That's kind of what people do when they want readers opinions on certain things. It's not that I 'don't' want to update it's because I am busy as it is. It's not about being forced it's literally what I wanted to ask about. So instead of being an asshole and acting like this, you can literally just ask why I have very slow updates.
The Question: They can keep doing that, and yes Ghost can do stuff like that (At least in this story).
Story Artist: Thank you, and to answer the questions.
1) Way before it.
2) No comment.
Guest (OC Warlock): I don't make any promises on him but thanks for the suggestion.
Thedarkwolf95: ... Yeah that did happen. I honestly just wanted to get that chapter and completely overlooked that, but don't worry I fixed it.
SPARTAN-626: Yeah it does sound pretty exciting. Not to mention with Rise of Iron out (YES!) new things have come.
Spartan-A312: Don't tell me what to do.
People, if this story hasn't been updated, it's because of three reasons! ONE: I have fourteen other stories to work on! I can't get to this story at a moment's notice. Two: It takes time to actually work on the story and I get WB sometimes. And THREE: I HAVE STUFF OUTSIDE OF FANFICTION! I have school, work, etc. I can't get to my stories instantly but when I do I try as fast as I can. So everyone stop asking to update because that won't get it any faster.
Okay moving on we have the Guardian voting poll:
Titans: 3(Done)

Chapter Five: The Republic
The Guardians have done a lot of things: Fought Space Zombies, giant space Turtles with huge firepower and futuristic robots with a Heart of Darkness. They were given divine powers to destroy literally anything in their path. They have weapons of mass destruction, and the coolest armor ever. But they were not prepared for this... thing.
"This is disgusting." Cole grumbled as he ate... whatever this crap is. Drake really couldn't agree more with the Hunter, as of now he and his friends were eating in the giant Star Ship Mess Hall what these people called food. While they tried to be nice, the food wasn't really food, it was what appeared to be mashed potatoes, if it was mixed with shit. After Luminara brought them to the Mess hall, she was called to the bridge to meet up with those other Jedi. But before she left Lyle asked for a Data pad for anything on their galaxy, the Warlock now reading through it.
"It's not that bad." Kara said as she took a bite. She instantly regretted it, but being the nice one she was, she still swallowed it.
"How about we have some normal food?" Ghost asked as he projected a list. "Name the order."
"A cheeseburger please." Ghost complied as a burger materialized from thin air. Thanks to the upgrades a little while back Drake materialized food now.
"Salad please." Ghost complied as he formed a bowl of greens in front of the Sunsinger, "And some Ranch?"
Lyle continued to look through all the data Luminara gave him. Even pushing Ghost aside as he continued to read anything he could on the various information he could se. He learned of the Republic, how it is like Congress back in the days of old at home. They were lead by a being known as the Chancellor, who commands the Clone army against this Trade Federation... Sounds familiar.
"Learn anything new in that Lyle?" Drake asked as he was handed an Apple.
"A lot actually, this isn't a Solar System we are just in. These people travel across a Galaxy at war, this side is the Republic. At its side are those Jedi characters, using something called the 'Force' that bides all living things."
"Wow so it's like a religion huh?" Cole asked, though his tone sounded like he wasn't that interested.
"I would believe so, though we won't know until we get to this Coruscant place of theirs." Lyle replied reading the name out loud. Drake didn't say anything as his thoughts went back to all of this. He couldn't believe over everything that has happened, he was in a galaxy far far away from home. It was going to take a while to get used to but no doubt he can. He is a Guardian after all, getting used to weird stuff was his thing... and fighting aliens and robots.
"Excuse me." The four Guardians turned to see one of the Jedi-Anakin was his name walk over to the four. They notice the serious stare he had on his face.
"You need something Mister... Uh..." Cole now had a hard time figuring the guy's name out.
"Anakin Skywalker." The Jedi said.
"Okay than, you need something Mr. Skywalker?" Drake asked finishing his apple.
"Yeah I do. I want you guys to know that I don't trust you. You expect me to believe that four soldiers came from another galaxy? It's unbelievable."
"Don't believe us if you want, but what we said is the truth." Lyle said as he continued reading. To be honest he could tell the man had some sort of rage within him, he was good at telling that in people. As good as Kara really.
"Plus all the recorded data we have is installed in my memory Mainframe." Ghost informed, the little drone floating in the air. "Anything you need to know I can answer even some these guys don't know."
"I don't care what you have to show me, this false information will not save you." Anakin said.
"From what? What do we have to hide from you? Besides you can't do much on us since we can either come back from the dead or just Void Blast you or stick a grenade on you." Kara said. She honestly saw this as nothing trivial as misunderstanding and it was beginning to get on her nerves.
"I can use the Force to make you all tell me the truth if you are lying to me." Drake sighed as he stood up, over towering the Jedi. If Anakin wasn't too close to him he would have backed up but he stood his ground. Drake on the other hand has already had enough, he didn't care who this guy was he wasn't gonna take shit from some guy in pajamas.
"Believe what you want Soldier, we don't care. We didn't have a choice in coming here and now I don't want to listen to some man's bullshit. Believe what you will, nothing gonna change. Now if you have anything else to say leave it with Ghost and he will record it and delete it. Now go away." With that Drake sat back down.
"You tell him, Drake." Cole said, eating the burger. Anakin grumbled as he walked away, his fists shaking in rage.
"Well, that went well." Lyle said, twirling his helmet on the table before he went back to reading.
"I wonder what that guy's problem is. He's more pissed than Zavala is when we disobey an order." Kara said, "Specifically when Cole does."
"Oh, don't act like Ikora doesn't act the same way with you, Hothead." Cole retorted, Kara glared at him, even so as punching him in the arm. The Hunter chuckled as the Sunsinger continued to flare in anger.
"Enough about the guy, I want to know what the hell we gonna do with our ship." Drake said remembering the fact that their ship was still damaged.
"We could see if this galaxy has the necessary parts to repair it." Lyle said, before tossing a data pad onto the table, Drake picking it up as it stopped. "I've read up on some of this galaxy's technology, and it's...interesting." He said, as Drake looked through the info.
"Well they got Hyper drives. That's one good thing out of this." Drake said as he continued to read through the data pad.
"Think we could combine it with our Warp Drive?" Cole said, tossing what was left of his burger to the trash. "Make some sort of Hyper Warp Drive?"
"Ghost?" Kara asked.
"May take some time but I can get it done." Ghost informed.
"Imagine the speed we could go..." Cole said, Lyle noticing the look on Cole's face.
"You think that could get us home?" Lyle asked, as Cole shrugged.
"It's a possibility, but we can't know till we try." He said.
"Depends on far we are from home." Drake said.
"I'm sure we can make it... Fifty/Fifty chance of it." Ghost informed.
"That sounds promising Ghost, thanks." Cole said sarcastically.
"Well, if my math is correct..." Lyle said, looking at the maximum speed of a Hyper Drive and adding it to that of a Warp Drive. "...if this works, we could potentially have the fastest ship in the universe." He said, of course this was just a theory. Only way to find out is to actually make it.
"Well at least we know there is a chance to go home... hopefully." Drake said.
"Until then, we gotta do something. Can't just sit around with our thumbs up our asses." Cole said, pulling out and twirling his Last Word like a western gunslinger.
"We don't know where we exactly are in this Galaxy. Until we learn of all this crap we're sitting ducks." Drake said. "And if these Jedi know nearly everything they can help, until then we can't do anything."
"We did shit when the Vanguard didn't tell us to." Cole said, standing up. "If anything, these guys are just the Vanguard with telekinetic/telepathic powers."
"Yeah that's when we had jobs, Bounty Boards and stuff. We barely know anything about this Galaxy and while I one am in for jumping on the ship and figuring out a way home, we need to know where we are." Drake said standing up as well. While he couldn't disagree with Cole they didn't have a place to go or where to find the parts.
"We could visit this Jedi Archive I read about on Coruscant." Lyle said. "It's said to be the most vast library in the galaxy. If we need information, we could find it there, beside, it's the home of the Jedi Temple, and they'll probably be taking us there anyway, so we may as well gather up on more info while we're there." Lyle said.
"It's a good start." Kara said. Drake shrugged, it was no doubt a good place to start out. Both him and Cole sat down, before his attention was turned to see the walking Padawans Ahsoka and Barriss. He watched as Barriss stood in front of Cole, the Hunter turning to her.
"I know I keep doing this but I must simply think you for saving my life." Barriss said bowing to the Hunter. Cole honestly didn't know why she kept doing this, but hey who was he to deny her thanks to him?
"It was no problem Barriss, just your regular badass Hunter doing his job. Kicking ass and saving the beautiful princess." Cole said. Barriss smiled, a slight blush on the Padawan's face.
"Well we mostly just came here to tell you we are preparing to head back to Coruscant. My Master will be staying here to help a friend out with some Peace Treaties." Ahsoka informed.
"What do you want us to do?" Drake asked.
"Obi Wan is going to be bringing you guys to Coruscant, I hear the Chancellor wants to speak with you guys." Ahsoka said.
"Really?" Lyle said crossing his arms.
"Yeah, the Masters told him about you four and he requested to see you all in person." Ahsoka informed. Drake shrugged, be better than staying on this planet and maybe this Chancellor can give him answers. Plus Lyle can now go to this Jedi Temple and search up anything they need to know about. "After all if it weren't for you four we might have lost this battle."
"It was nothing." Drake reassured
"Yeah, we do this kind of crap, what, like three times a day?" Cole asked, looking at Lyle.
"I believe it was five." He said.
"We lose count a lot." Drake said.
"Yeah...we're awesome like that." Cole said.
"Well I thank you four anyways, so again I got to remember what's your story?" Ahsoka asked sitting down next to Drake. He noticed the Padawan was oddly close but she did nothing besides look at him for an answer. So he shrugged and started explaining.
"Long story short Ma'am we are four soldiers from what we believe another Galaxy. We protect our world from a Darkness that wishes to destroy, given divine power to fight against it." Drake explained.
"The Darkness?" Barriss asked.
"As far as we know it is an Embodiment of Evil, our Solar System is protected by its enemy the Traveler. It is a giant Moon Sized orb that watches over the Last City. Anyways we believe certain enemies of ours, one known as the Hive serve under it." Kara explained.
"Others, like the Cabal and Vex, despite no evidence of being under influence from the Darkness, simply seek to exterminate us." Lyle said.
"Then there's the Fallen...they're just fucking thieves. Heavily armed and angry thieves, but still." Cole said.
"You guys have some pretty interesting... adversaries." Ahsoka said.
"You guys do as well." Drake said.
"Yeah, your fucking enemies are Vex wannabes and a cyborg. Sounds boring when you fought the things we have." Cole said.
"Well I wish to know more of this world of yours." Ahsoka said, turning to Drake. "Perhaps when we head back to Coruscant I can give you all a tour?"
"That sounds nice." Drake said. Before more could be said Ahsoka communicator went off, the Torgruta reaching for it.
"Yeah?"
"Commander Tano, we are preparing for launch." Rex informed.
"Got it Rex, I'll meet you on the bridge." Ahsoka said as she stood up, before she turned to the five.
"Well I got to meet with my Master on the bridge. You can walk around the ship, until than I'll see you guys around." Ahsoka said waving goodbye to the others before leaving the Mess Hall. Cole turned to see Barriss still sitting next to him, not attempting to leave.
"Not joining your friend?" The Bladedancer asked.
"Oh uh no. I was actually wondering if you could tell me more of your adventures as Guardians." Barriss said as she dusted herself up, almost as if she was trying to show herself off. None of the Guardians caught on besides one little light but he said nothing. Cole smiled, who was he to deny a girl the stories of his awesomeness?
"Well I've got plenty, which one do you want to hear?"
"Everything... Oh wait, what about your ship?" Barriss asked realizing they might leave their ship alone.
"Don't worry, I got this." Ghost said as his eyes glowed red, a low fuzzing noise. Before he returned to normal, blinking to regain his metallic composure.
"And stored in data banks."
"... How?"
"No time, now let's start with how Drake, Lyle, and I beat the ever crap out of the Fallen Winter Kell Draksis." Cole went on, telling the Padawan the tales of the Guardians. As they did the Republic Cruiser was going into orbit, the Guardians barely had a clue and before they knew it they were off at Light Speed.
(Coruscant, Senate Building)
Chancellor Palpatine was an elderly man in his sixties. He was a just person, a wise leader that ordered the Republic and had control over the Clone Army. But his Republic had been at war for a year now with the enemy that was the Separatist. So far the war has been at balance with the Jedi helping lead the Clone Army but with the Separatists having a never ending army of Droids. He thought the war would never end.
Until he had heard of them.
"It was only a few hours ago but when Obi Wan had made his report the Chancellor was told of four soldiers that changed the tied on the planet Kandracar. Apparently these four not only defeated Grievous but decimated the Droid army. He could not deny these soldiers were indeed strong, and while he didn't know much now, he would soon once they arrived.
"Excuse me Chancellor?" Palpatine turned to see the Senator of Naboo walk into the room. Padme Amidala was a woman in her twenties, her beauty was beyond that of a goddess if Chancellor really cared. She wore a purple dress and a golden head dress that tired up her hair.
"Ah yes Senator." Palpatine said as he stood up from his seat and walked over to the Senator of Naboo. "I have excellent news from Kandracar."
"I assume that we have beaten the Separatist, no thanks to the Jedi." Padme said casually. But she was surprised to see Chancellor shake his head no.
"Surprisingly while they did, they couldn't have done it without the help of four soldiers." Padme was at a lost, she could not hear the words coming out of the Supreme Chancellor's mouth. Four soldiers? Four, beat a Droid army and sent them in full retreat? It was unbelievable.
"Excuse me Sir?"
"Yes I was surprised as you were. To find out that not only did they force the Droid armies in full retreat, but they defeated General Grievous."
Now she couldn't believe it. Four soldiers, four soldiers who must not have been Jedi defeated the famed Jedi Killer General Grievous.
"Chancellor I don't understand."
"Believe me Senator Amidala, I was surprised as you were when I heard this. But Master Kenobi spoke highly of them so I wouldn't doubt him. Besides they will be here shortly, I was about to give them a greeting." Chancellor explained as he opened the door. "Would you like to accompany me?"
Padme didn't know why, but she wanted to meet the soldiers. While she wanted to end the war her curiosity got the better of her and she wanted to meet these soldiers.
"If that is fine with you?" Padme asked. Chancellor smiled as he beckoned her to follow him.
"I would love the company."
(Senate Hanger)
"So what are these things called again?" Drake asked as he and others sat in some sort of flying car with Obi Wan, their helmets on their laps. The driver being some sort of robot across the city of Coruscant... Or just Coruscant in general. Yeah the Guardians had learned after landing that this planet was entirely metal and it was truly astounding. After the ship landed Obi Wan ordered Luminara, Ahsoka, and Barriss back to the Jedi Temple while he brought them to meet up with the Chancellor.
"It is called an Air Taxi, does your world not have Taxis?" Obi Wan asked.
"Eh we had these things called cars but they are on wheels." Cole explained.
"Nowadays we use Ships and Sparrows." Ghost informed as he laid on Kara's lap so he wasn't sent flying. Obi Wan nodded his head in understanding, whatever this car is, it must have been impressive. Finally after flying for some time they were brought to a gigantic dome building. The ship landed in some sort of hanger, and the Guardians were greeted by two rows of blue armored soldiers. Obi Wan stepped off the hovercraft followed by the Guardians, walking off the ship and through the rows of soldiers.
"This is a pretty big ass building." Drake muttered at the site of the Senate building.
"Oh great, what the hell is this, the fucking cavalry?" Cole asked, unimpressed by the soldiers. That wasn't until they notice two people walking over to them. One was an older man wearing red robes, by his side was a blue skinned alien man with a staff and the final was a woman. Though Drake couldn't keep his eyes off the woman, he didn't know why but he found her... fascinating. He didn't know why but it was just a burning feeling, like one when a Sunsinger Self-Res next to him in the Crucible... except without all the burning and dying. But another thing was the old man, not just from but all the other Guardians just got a strange feeling, it wasn't dark it was just creepy. Instinctively the three men gathered around Kara, preparing for anything weird.
"... How old is he?" Drake asked.
"Old enough to draw suspicion." Lyle said, his eyes watching this "Chancellor" like a hawk.
"How is that guy alive? He looks like he's a thousand." Kara said.
"Hell if I know, but I'm sure as hell not taking my hand off a gun with him around. Creepy meter is going full speed." Cole said his arm reaching for his Last Word.
"Mine broke." Drake said keeping his hand balled into a fist.
"Mine ceased to exist." Lyle finished as he crossed his arms behind his back, making sure no one saw the purple energy channeling through it. The two groups met a foot across from each other, Obi Wan stepping up to the man.
"Chancellor Palpatine." Obi Wan bowed to the older man. Chancellor smiled bowing back to the Jedi Master.
"Master Kenobi it is good to see you are alright." The Chancellor said before turning to the four soldiers. "And I assumed you four are the 'Guardians' that I have heard of?"
"You assume correctly." Lyle said.
"I've heard some good things about you. The Jedi speaks very highly of you." Chancellor said gesturing to Kenobi. "And I am sure you've heard of me?" The Guardians shook their heads no.
"They've told us little about you." Kara answered, the Palpatine nodded his hand in understanding.
"Ah yes, allow me to introduce myself. I am Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Republic." The Chancellor introduced himself, "And you all might be?" Drake stepped forward, his hand placed on his chest.
"Drake, Drake O'Connell. Titan, Striker, and Leader of this team."
"Cole Grayson. Hunter, Bladedancer, and Sniper of this team." Cole said giving them a thumbs up and winking.
"Lyle Matthews. Warlock, Voidwalker, and Intelligence Officer of this team." Lyle said nodding his head.
"Kara, Warlock, Sunsinger, and Healer of this team." Kara said bowing.
"Ghost, the Team's literal Heart... And main intelligence don't mean to brag." Ghost praised himself turning earning a glare from the Warlock.
"Together, we form Fireteam Epsilon. One of the best Fireteams the Vanguard of our home ever formed." Drake said.
"Well I must say you all must tell me more of yourselves. Oh and where are my manners this is Senator of Naboo Padme Amidala." The Senator stepped forward bowing her head specifically to Drake. Standing up Padme realized just how tall the Titan was, being five feet tall, he towered her by several inches. Maybe it was thanks to the armor he was a hulking being, in fact as she noticed all of them were slightly taller than her.
"It is a pleasure to meet you all." Padme said as she looked up at Drake. The Titan noticed her stare, and for some reason he was once again mesmerized by her. It was mostly her beautiful deep brown eyes. He was at a lost that he didn't know what to say.
"Did your Heart just skip a beat?" Ghost asked scanning Drake's body. Instantly the other three Guardians caught on, some had different things to do. Lyle had a small smirk on his face, Cole let out a snicker and Kara smiled.
"That's adorable." Cole commented. Drake turned to the Hunter, glaring at his friend with his teeth grinded against each other.
"Shut... The fuck... Up!" Drake growled out through his teeth. Regaining his composure he turned back to Padme, clearing his throat he looked at the Senator.
"Apologies it is an honor to meet you Senator." Drake said. Padme smiled at the Titan's embarrassed face, finding it quite amusing.
"It is fine." Chancellor smiled at the two, clearly seeing something. Deciding to address more of the issue the Chancellor cleared his throat catching everyone's attention.
"It is good that we all know each other. But if it is not too much to ask would you four kindly follow me? I have something to ask you all about." Palpatine asked with his hand gesturing to the door nearby. Drake looked at his group, the others making no room to argue.
"Lead the way Sir." Drake said as he walked by Padme's side. Chancellor smiled as he walked away with his Advisor's following, the Guardian's behind their leader saved for one.
"As much as I would love to join you all, I must meet with the Council about our Guardian friends." Obi Wan said as he prepared to leave, before he noticed Lyle following him. "I see you need something."
"I was actually wondering if I could come with you to this Jedi Temple of yours?" Lyle asked, the Jedi Master raised in eyebrow in confusion.
"And reason?"
"You Jedi must information on nearly everything. I believe it might have answers I seek, if that is okay with you." Lyle said. Obi Wan stared at the Warlock, of course he had no reason to distrust the Guardian and he seemed honest. Besides if he was trying anything he was in a Temple filled with the most powerful beings on the planet.
"Very well, come with me. But what about your friends?"
"They already know about this, I will return to them shortly." Lyle informed as they boarded the Taxi. The Taxi took off into the sky and towards the Temple leaving the Senate behind it.
(Senate Building)
Drake and the others were really weirded out by all the different alien Senators. Okay again they deal with aliens but this was on another level with all the different species. So seeing new species was intriguing and weird for them at the same time.
"I'd hope you plan on staying here for a while." Palpatine said making Drake look up at him.
"What do you mean?" The Titan asked.
"Well I mean you and your friends are quite impressive in the field. Able to obliterate such a large forces of Droid army is quite impressive for people like you since you are not Jedi." Palpatine praised.
"Yeah we were given our powers from our Protector the Traveler after he went into slumber. He gave us our powers to fight against the forces of Darkness." Kara informed.
"Fascinating. Truly this can be a great addition to our army." The Guardians looked up at the Chancellor in confusion.
"I'm sorry did you just say great addition to our army? I'm making sure so I didn't hear the crap that just came out of your mouth." Cole asked, earning a glare from Padme and the Advisers. Palpatine on the other hand smiled not unaffected by the insult.
"Why yes I did, this is the why I wanted to talk to you. You see we are at war with the Separatist for control of the Galaxy. It is a constant battle for control on a single planet. And while we have the Jedi the Separatist have a never ending supply of Droids while we lose Clones every hour." Palpatine informed. Drake felt a little angry, it almost reminded him of home as while they had Guardians there were so few to the Darkness that had like an endless supply of forces. Every few months a Guardian dies and almost every year nearly one Guardian is found.
"I... I see." Drake said.
"Yes and while some want to stop the production of soldiers which I can understand for. But without troops we will lose this war... until we found you four." Palpatine said stopping and turning to the three Guardians. "Your skills, weapons, and power is beyond anything we have seen. You also have been able to defeat the Separatist greatest General, the Jedi Killer Grievous." Palpatine said before he continued to walk.
"So basically you want us to kick ass for you?" Cole asked.
"Yes that is exactly what I want." Palpatine said.
"While we appreciate the offer we must return home. We need to join our Brothers and Sisters in the fight back home." Kara said. The Chancellor nodded his head in understanding.
"I understand, but if I may ask this world is called Earth, yes?" Palpatine asked.
"How did you know that?" Ghost asked.
"Master Kenobi informed me, and he said you from somewhere beyond the Galaxy. May I ask but are there more Guardians like you?" Palpatine asked.
"Not as badass, but yeah there's a lot like us." Cole said dusting himself off with a smirk.
"Now that is some good news." Palpatine said before they reached some door at the end of the hallway. "Ah here we are."
"Where is here?" Drake asked as Palpatine opened the door.
"I thought you Guardian's deserve a reward for saving my armies so selflessly. So here is your own Penthouse Suite."
"... WHAT?!" Cole screamed as he bolted into the room followed by Kara and Ghost. Drake walked in to follow the two and all three were greeted by a nice site. The first room was a large living room with two couches in the center with lamps. Near the outside was an open area giving a full view of Coruscant, with glass rails at the edge. Twin statues on the side of the wall, and a weird little fountain near the couches.
"There are two sleeping quarters for that I apologize for but the others were taken. There is a restroom near the west side of the Suite, Shower area next to it. Kitchen on the west with food already inside, and if you request anything simply press the red button on the wall over there." Palpatine pointing to the nearby wall. Kara smiled as he jumped on the couch, kicked her boots off, resting her head on her hands and sighing in relief. Ghost laid on a pillow, commenting 'Nice pillow' as he closed his optic. And finally Cole was already raiding the fridge of its contents.
"You know this isn't entirely necessary." Drake said.
"Speak for yourself." Cole said as he carried the huge pile of food in his arms before placing it on the table.
"I insist Titan Drake, you and your friends deserve this. I simply want to say: Welcome to the Republic." Palpatine said as he turned away from the Titan. "If you wish to speak with me I am on the top floor in the east. Good day." With that Palpatine and his Advisors left, leaving Padme alone with the Titan. The two stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to say. Realizing what she was doing Padme let out a nervous cough.
"Well I should get back to work." Padme said as she backed away.
"We wouldn't want to distract you Miss Amidala." Drake said.
"Oh please, just call me Padme. If you need me I am just a couple hallways away." Padme said as she bumped into the wall on accident. Chuckling nervously she closed the door behind her, leaving the Titan to stand there.
"Padme." Drake muttered, remembering the name.
"Ah somebodies got a crush." Kara said. Drake turned to her, glaring at the Sunsinger with his fist shaking.
"It's not like that."
"Right, you not having a crush on here is saying I like the Fallen." Cole said eating a pink fruit thing. "It's bullshit."
"I just find her fascinating okay?"
"Plus your heartbeat beats faster when she is near." Ghost informed from his spot. "Your body produces hormonal instincts naturally for a male like you, you are attracted to her Drake. Just as she might be t-!"
"Okay I get it, shut up." Drake groaned as he slapped his forehead.
"So am I the only one not getting onto what the Chancellor wants?" Kara asked.
"Yes, he wants us to join this army." Cole stated from his spot.
"Yeah and I don't like it, he just gave me a weird vibe. We don't have time to fight for someone else's war when we already have one to deal with." Drake said as he crossed his arms.
"So we're just gonna abandon them?" Kara said as she stood up from her spot. "People must be dying because two sides won't agree with each other."
"And as side that is that is no different than home. The main priority is fixing the ship, try and make some Hyper Warp Drive and get home." Drake said as he started pulling off his armor. "Ghost run an analysis on how much ammo we got." Ghost complied as he started beeping and moving. Drake sighed, he didn't want to be an asshole about this whole thing but they needed to get home. Hopefully Lyle would find something.
(Jedi Temple, Library)
Lyle found jack shit. He currently walked around the Jedi Library looking through the holographic books that had no info for what he needed. He needed to find something on Inter-dimensional Travel for whatever had happened to them that was a main reason for bringing him and his friends here. But there were thousands of books around it was hard to find. He was told of an old Jedi lady around but had not seen her.
"Looking for something?" He turned around, looking to see who had spoken. In front of him was a woman, around his age (If he had an exact one). She stood at 5'11 with light pale skin, raven black hair with two bangs on the side her face, and blue eyes. She wore light brown pants, red boots, red sleeves, a light grey tunic, and red armored plate with one shoulder plate.
Lyle stayed silent, contemplating his response before answering. "Yes, actually, I am looking for something." He said, turning his head to look at the books. "You wouldn't happen to have any information on..." He paused, trying to find the right word. "...inter-dimensional travel?" He finished. The woman hummed to herself in deep thought, before shaking her head.
"Sorry I don't think we have anything other than Hyper travel."
"Hmm..." Lyle muttered to himself. "That will have to do for now." He said, before looking back at the woman. "Can you show me where to find the information, Miss..." He said, pausing to discover her name.
"Serra, Serra Keto and no need for formalities. I am a Padawan after all." Serra said as she beckoned the Warlock to follow her. "And my apologies but I do not know your name nor have I seen someone like you in the Temple before."
"Well, I'm not a Padawan, for I've recently shown up here." Lyle said, before extending a hand. "Lyle Matthews. I'm a Guardian, of the Warlock class. And member of Fireteam Epsilon." He said.
"A Guardian huh?" Serra asked chuckling as she tried to think if she remembered the name. Nothing came to mind of this Guardian, "Never heard of that before."
"Well, that inter-dimensional travel I mentioned has something to do with that." Lyle responded.
"Heh, right. Here we are." Serra pulled out a book from a case. She handed the book to the Warlock. "Here's all you need to know about Hyper Travel."
"My thanks." Lyle said, before looking at her belt, noticing her two lightsabers. "I see you have two lightsabers." He said.
"Yeah, what you thought Jedi can only use one?"
"No, but it was...unexpected." He said, before materializing his Red Death. "I, on the other hand, use firearms for my method of defense." He then clenched his right fist, the fist now glowing with Void energy. "As well as the Void."
"The Void huh? Sounds neat." Serra said as she levitated the book in her hand. "Jedi use the Force, the energy that surrounds all living things. You on the other hand... I feel like you don't have it."
"Well, on my world, we have the Light." Lyle said. "We manifest Arc, Solar, and Void energy to combat the forces of the Darkness." He said.
"Interesting, well as much as I love to hear more I have to meet up with my Master."
"Of course, I won't keep you." Lyle said, before he pressed his hand to his ear. "I'll be right there, I may have found potential Intel." He said, before he turned to leave...then stopped to turn back to look at Serra. "I hope we can speak again soon, Serra." He said.
"Same here Lyle, come by if you need anything else." Serra said before walking away, leaving the Warlock alone.
"Of course." He said, before he turned to leave, his helmet materializing over his head as he opened the book. He got one last look on the Padawan, eyeing her form one last time before going back to reading. He decided to record this information, make sure all of it goes to Ghost so they could use it later. He looked at the book letting his helmet record all the data one last time before closing it and setting it down. The Warlock walked away, glad that he got all the information he needed.
(Guardians's Penthouse Suite)
Lyle was surprised there was a Taxi waiting for him, he was even more surprised when he was brought into some Pent House. Inside he saw all his friends gathered around the couch with their armor taken off as they sat around watching a Holo Vid on some alien TV. Drake wore a black T-Shit with brown pants, Cole wore a grey shirt with black shorts, and Kara wore a light blue shirt and light blue jeans.
"What did you find out?" Drake asked as he turned to his Warlock friend.
"All we need on Hyper Travel which I am sure Ghost received." Lyle said as he started taking his armor off.
"Got it right here in my memory core." Ghost informed from his spot on Kara's lap.
"Does anyone understand what this thing is saying?" Cole asked as he watched some sort of news, though the reporter was some sort of Alien that spoke in another language.
"I think it has something to do with the weather?" Kara guessed, she really had no clue.
"So how did we get this place?" Lyle asked now just in a white T shirt and brown pants.
"The Chancellor gave it to us as a thank you." Drake answered as Lyle walked over to the glass rails staring down at the gigantic city below.
"Interesting."
"It's obviously an offer to what we can have if we stay." Drake said, making the Voidwalker look back at him.
"What do you mean?"
"The Chancellor is offering us a spot to join this Clone Army of his." Ghost answered, "Helping them try and end this war." Lyle said nothing as he stared at the city below. He can see the Chancellor was pretty desperate if he thought four soldiers could change the tide of war... But hey these four killed a God so who knows maybe they can. Though as much as help they can be they needed to get home to fight their own battles.
"Do you think it's possible to make this Hyper Warp Drive?" Kara asked, looking down at Ghost.
"Their technology is quite different from ours. I need to analyze and actually see a Hyper Drive to understand its tech." Ghost explained. Drake nodded his head, knowing it was never going to be easy.
"What do we do until then?" Cole asked. Drake sighed as he grabbed the remote and turned off the Holo Vid, ignoring the protect of his friends.
"Right now we need some rest, been a long day for all of us." Drake said as he laid on the couch.
"I call dibs on one of the beds!" Kara said pushing Cole aside as she bolted for a room.
"Bullshit!" Cole groaned as he reached for the second room, but was shocked to see Lyle closing the door.
"Good night everyone!" The Warlock yelled from his room. The Bladedancer groaned as he walked and laid on the couch, using his cloak as a blanket. Drake chuckled at his friend before rolling to the side of the couch, closing his eyes and going to sleep. That night everyone had separate dreams: Drake had one with a Senator, Cole with a Padawan, Lyle had a dream about that woman, and Kara... Kara was an old childhood dream with her father the Speaker. Unfortunately one being in the room had a hard time sleeping.
"By the Traveler I wish I didn't have to see their dreams." Ghost groaned from his pillow.
Yep, just another day for Fireteam Epsilon.
And finally done. Everyone happy now? This was just development or something. Next chapter will have more action so don't worry. I uh I don't have much to say besides the first arc must have only a few chapters left. So I hope everyone enjoyed it, until next time.
