The weeks passed by as spring turned into summer. The pink cherry blossoms fell and green leaves rustled in the wind. Manta hummed as he packed the last of his cloths into his bag. Today he, Mannoko and Yoh were all setting off to leave for Yoh's home town. Manta had called his sister the night before to tell her what the plan for today was. They were all to meet at the train station at noon. Then it would be a long trip to Izumo. But Manta would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous about meeting Yoh's family.

Yoh had told him some about the Asakura household. His granfather Yohmei, the family head, is a Onmyodo. His grandmother Kino, like Anna, is an Itako. Actually, that one scared him a little. If his memories of Anna where anything to go by, then he was scared to see what the woman who trained her was like. Then his parents Mikihisa and Keiko, an ascetic monk and a miko respectfully. And that was just the main family! Apparently Yoh had adopted family members as well.

Manta started to become more then a little nervouse. A million different things went through Mantas head, all bad, ranging from Yohs family rejecting their relationship to all out separating the two for the rest of their lives. Shaking away the thoughts Manta slapped both hands to his face.

"There no way that wold happen." Manta said aloud. "Yoh wouldn't let it."

Yoh. The blonde could feel his cheeks heat up beneath his hands as Yoh filled his mind. Since the night they...well...since that night, Yoh has been more then happy to make up for the time they had been separated. And he made up for it on multiple occasions. As well as on multiple surfaces. Manta never would have thought his table was that sturdy. Or the one at Yohs pla-

Manta shook his head again, now was not the time to be thinking about that. Taking a deep breathe Manta set to work on finish packing. After words he set about calling the store and the club to remind them he wouldn't be at work for the rest of the summer. At first the thought of being off work that long had worried him, but Yoh, despite his protest, assured him he would help Manta pay for any bills if he gets behind.

The manager at the store told him to have a fun time, but when he called the club it was a different story.

"MANTA!" Hoshi-san wailed through the phone . "Why must you leave me for so long? Who will I tease with you gone?"

Manta rolled his eye. "You have like thirty other employees, not counting the escorts and a boyfriend. Go pick on one of them to tease."

They had had this same conversation earlier when Manta first asked for time off. The only difference was that Shu was not there to ask the same as the owner.

"But you're more fun to tease." Hoshi responded laughing. "But seriously, have fun on your trip, you'll have a job waiting for you here when you get back."

Manta smiled. Even if Hoshi-san was a bit eccentric and annoying he was a good guy to work for. Then Manta remembered something. He had forgot all about it till now.

"Um...Hoshi-san? Can I ask you a question?"

"Why of course I would love to do a orgy with you and your boyfriend! I may have to speak with Yuji but I can convince him to join in too!"

"That is not what I want to ask!" Manta yelled into the phone. His face blazed red as laughter sounded from the other end of the phone.

"Sorry now what did you need to ask?" Hoshi-san asked when he had calmed down.

Manta took a deep breathe. "Hoshi-san, can you see ghosts?"

A full minute of silence passed. Manta was worried he had said something wrong. Maybe he shouldn't have asked. Maybe he didn't really see Amidamaru that time and it was all his and Yoh imagination.

"Hoshi-san I'm sorry, that was a wired question." Manta tried to laugh it off. "Just forget that I said anything. Ill see-"

"I was wondering if you were ever going to ask about that" Hoshi-san interrupted his ramblings. "To answer your question, yes I can."

"I see. Well I just wanted to ask. I should be going now."

"Alright then have a fun summer. See ya soon."

With that the two hung up. Manta was not sure what had just happened but there was no going back now. Hoshi-san did not seem to mind that he had asked. Manta turned his head and caught a glimpse of the clock.

"Oh Shit!" Apparently that quick phone call took longer than he thought. It was now going on 11:35. It would take him at least fifteen minutes to get to the station. Manta grabbed his things and headed out the door.

At the train station Yoh sat on a bench, his bag next him, and bobbing head along to the music coming through his headphones. He had got to the station before the others and was now just waiting for them to show up. Their train was set to leave at 12:15. Then it would be a straight shot to Izumo.

Yoh stopped his head bashing for a second. A small smile reached his lips. He couldn't believe that he had not only found Manta and made up, but now they were in a relationship and he was about to introduce his family to him. Granted Mannoko was coming with them but Yoh didn't mind. Mannoko was a good kid. A little bit of a smart mouth from what Manta had told him, but she did help him out when he first got back.

"Happy I see." A voice broke through his thoughts and music. Yoh turned his head and Amidamaru looked back at him with a knowing smile.

You smiled back and took off his headphones, placing them around his neck. "More then I've been in a while."

"True. I have not seen you this happy in many years." The samurai said thinking back to the past few years. "Ever since that day you sent Manta away you never did smile like you use to. When you did smile it was also sad, it was not a true smile."

Yoh knew what he meant. Manta was his first friend, well he had Anna but he wouldn't exactly count her as a friend. Manta was different, sure at first they didn't get along well, but he knew Manta had to be a good person. The fact that he could see ghost was enough for him. The blonde stuck by him for so long Yoh's heart broke that day he had said those things to him. The look on the boys face killed him and each passing day he felt his heart break more and more Manta was not there with him. And now-

"Yoh!"

Yoh turned his head at the sound of his name being called out. Manta was hurrying toward him a huge a smiled plastered across his face. Yoh stood as Manta reached him. Before Manta could say anything Yoh placed one had to cup his face and the other around his waist, pulling him into a searing kiss. Manta kissed back placing his hand over the one cupping his face. Neither noticed or cared when people stared to stare at them.

They pulled apart and Yoh leaned his forehead against Manta's, who looked up at the taller boy and smiled.

"Did you miss me?" Yoh chuckled at the blondes question.

"Yeah." He replied. " And now I'm never letting you go."

They stayed like that a moment more before it was broken by someones voice

"How long are you guys going to stay like that?" The two turned and saw Mannoko standing next to her bag and-

"Mom." Manta breathed out. Yoh grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze. "What are you doing here?"

Keiko Oyamada looked hard at her son, then to Yoh, who looked back with a look of his own, and finally to their linked hands. She saw the way the two boys had their fingers intertwined and the way they seemed ready to fight any who tried to tear them apart, not caring about those giving them strange looks. But most of all the saw the way the two had looked at one another just then, before her daughter had spoken up. The look of pure adoration and love. She knew what she had to do now.

Keiko stepped forward and slowly lifted her hand.

"I'm sorry," She said, and held up the large wrapped box lunch she held in her hand. "I was not sure what Yoh liked, but I hope you boys enjoy the food."

"Wha?" Manta gave is mother a dumfounded look.

Keiko smiled warmly handing him the lunch box "Your lunch for the trip dear. I wasn't sure what your boyfriend liked so I just made a few different things."

Manta took the box and looked at it then to his mother. He did this twice more before saying. "But you can't cook."

Mannoko tried her best to hold her laughter, but a few giggles broke through as her mother swatted Manta's arm.

"I'll have you know I have gotten better...and some of the cooks may have helped me."

Yoh gave out a low chuckle. The tension finally disappearing as Keiko looked at the two of them fondly. Then her face turned sad, looking down to the ground.

"I know I haven't been the best mother to you or Mannoko." She started. "But I would like to change that if you would give me the chance. I heard Mannoko talking to you over the phone about what you were planning to do. At first I was angry, angry that you two were planning this trip and lying..."

Keiko took a deep breathe to steady herself, her voice breaking at the last part. "Then I got angry at myself. What kind of mother was I, if my children were going behind my back just to spend a little bit of time together."

"Mom..." Manta breathed but said nothing more. Yoh gave his hand another squeeze.

"I've decided that I need to stop worrying about what the world thinks." Keiko raised her head and looked to her son. "If it means I loose both my kids because I was to focused on the world judging me then the world can go to hell for all I care, because I love the both of you! Nothing will ever change that. And, if it's not to late, I would like to act like a real mom should, not focused on what other pepole think, but on-"

Keiko didn't get to finish as Manta lunged forward and wrapped his free arm around her. Hugging her close.

"It's not to late." His muffled reply came, his face buried in her shirt. Keiko smiled and hugged her son back with tears in her eyes.

Mannoko not wanting to be left out ran up and hugged her mother and brother as well. Yoh stood back and watched the family embrace. Kieko looked up catching his eye. The two smiled at each other.

"TRAIN TO IZUMO NOW BOARDING" The voice on the speakers called.

You three need to get going." Kieko said pulling away and wiping her eyes. "Oh before I forget."

She sifted through her purse hanging at her side and pulled out an envelope, handing it to Manta. "Here's some money to spend on the trip. Use what ever you like."

Manta wiped his own eyes and looked at the envelope. "Mom-"

Keiko held up her hand. "Don't worry about the money I want you three to have a good time, and don't worry about your father either. I'll take care of him."

Manta smiled and gave his mother another hug. "Thanks. I love you too."

"And I'll always love you and Mannoko." Keiko hugged him back then looked at Yoh hard. "You better not hurt my boy again."

"Mom!" Manta hissed, but he was ignored.

"I'm not sure what happened that time at the hospital when Manta went to see you but listen when I say you will pay dearly if you make him cry like that again."

Yoh gave her a level stare. "I don't plan to. What I did years ago I regret everyday, and I still am amazed Manta was able to forgive me for it. I plan to make up for it anyway I can and then some. I'm never leaving him again!"

Keiko nodded her head. She could tell he told the truth. "You three should get going now."

The four walked to the train door and said one final goodbye.

"Please watch over my children. Don't let any harm come to them." Keiko said to You bowing.

"I'll keep them out of trouble." Yoh smiled. "I'll keep them safe."

"Have a safe trip and be sure to take many pictures and have lots of fun."

"We will!"

"TRAIN TO IZUMO NOW DEPARTING. PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THE DOORS."

"Bye now." Keiko said waving.

"Bye-bye mommy!" Mannoko smiled waving happily.

"See you later." Manta smiled.

The door closed between them and the three went to get seats. Mannoko hurried to a window and looked out to see her mother still standing at the platform waving at them. Even when the train began to pull out of the station the trio could see the smile on her face.

Ok so this one was a bit lengthy but it had quite a bit of dialogue in it too. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter and will leave me a review. So until next time. Bye-bye!
