Okay nothing except I hope you all enjoy the newest chapter.

Disclaimer: I do not own Shaman King.

The train ride to Izumo was fairly calm. The trio had been riding it for about two hours now. The lunch they had been given was now gone and all there was left to do was enjoy the ride. Manta looked over at his sister sleeping in the seat across from them, she had fallen asleep not long ago and now was snuggled beneath Yoh jacket. Manta couldn't help but think how cute she looked like that. A small giggle escaped.

"What's so funny?" Manta turned to Yoh who looked at him fondly.

"Nothing." Manta replied, reaching over and replacing the jacket that had fallen off of Mannoko. "Just thinking."

"Hmm." Was all he got back.

Yoh wrapped his arm around Manta's shoulders after he sat back down. Manta sighed contently as he leaned against his lover. It was hard to think just about two months ago Yoh had come back into his life and now here they were on a trip to see his family.

"I've wanted this for so long." Manta thought. "Now I have it. I don't ever want to let it go."

Manta snuggled closer to Yoh.

"You two are so cute!" A voice said above them. Both looked up to see Amidamaru looked down at them. Yoh gave the ghost a look.

"Way to ruin the mood."

Manta sat up but Yoh kept his arm around him.

"I have had to keep quiet," The samurai stated. "So not to have Miss Mannoko question why you are talking to air."

Manta nodded his head. "I wonder how this trip will be for her. She can't see ghost like us."

"Maybe she has the ability but it just hasn't worked for her yet." Yoh commented. "You suddenly started to be able so ghost after we met that day."

"True."

"Maybe while we are at the Asakura house she will unlock her ability." Amidamaru added.

"That could happen." Manta said. "I just hope it doesn't."

"Why?" Yoh asked. "Wouldn't it be good if she saw them too?"

"I don't want this to hurt her in any way and I don't want her to freak out over this either. What if she becomes scared of it? Or of me?" Manta shook his head. "I can only imagine what our dad would say, or do, if he knew Mannoko could suddenly see ghost let alone me."

Yoh puled the blonde close and placed a soft kiss on his forehead. "It'll work out. Besides you guys will have your mom backing you up now right?"

Manta smiled at that.

"I can't believe she showed up like that. I was close to crying my eyes out after all that."

"There is nothing quite as strong as a mothers love." Amidamaru said with a sigh. "I do not remember much of a mother's love myself. So I am glad you have yours."

"Thanks."

"And Yoh's love of course." The spirit added teasingly.

"Every bit of it." The shaman smiled at his lover. "Forever."

Manta blushed and snuggled close, smiling and breathing in his sent. "Same."

Eventually, Manta followed his sister in slumber and only Yoh was left awake. He looked at his two companions. He laughed when he saw they were both sleeping in the same position. Manta who had at some point moved to lay his head on Yoh's lap, shifted slightly before settling back into sleep. Yoh gently ran his fingers through the others hair, earning him a soft sigh. The shaman gave an amused huff then turned to look out the window.

Yoh thought back to what Manta had said about hoping Mannoko didn't suddenly start seeing spirits too. Was it really such a bad thing? He suppose he didn't really know. Having seen ghosts his whole life he just thought it was normal. For Manta it was a shock. He could still remember the look on the boys face when he first saw him at the graveyard. It was a mix of surprise, horror, and just plain disbelief. Though after that his life did get a little bit turned around.

"Okay a little is the wrong, more like a lot." Yoh thought to himself. Thinking back he can honestly say Manta should have died like twenty times. "Then there was the time he did almost die."

Yoh let out a sigh. He was sure it would take ten life times before he ever got close to stop feeling guilty over that, and the events that took place after. He looked back to Manta. He was smiling in his sleep.

"I wonder what he's dreaming about."

"Yoh..."

Yoh's eyes widened when he heard Manta call his name in his sleep. "He's dreaming of me?"

"...Don't burn...down the kitchen..."

Yoh stared at him for a second that started to quietly laugh. He looked up when he heard more laughter and saw his guardian ghost laughing as well.

"It seems his biggest fear at the moment is you in the kitchen"

"Very funny." Yoh said rolling his eyes, but smiled.

He looked back at his reason to live. "Even if it take a hundred lifetimes. I'm going to make it all up to you. Not even the gods could take you from me."

Yoh leaned back in his seat a began to drift off. Soon he had fallen asleep as well.

Amidamaru floated above the trio as they slept. He was glad to see his friends happy again. But there was something bothering him. He didn't know what it was, but he had a feeling that this trip was going to test this couple and the bond they shared. In more ways then one.

"You looks deep in thought." A voice said.

"I am worried for-" Amidamaru turned and saw a very familiar face. "MOSUKE!"

"Hello my friend." Mosuke bowed and smiled at his old friend. "it has been a long while."

"Yes it has!" Amidamaru smiled and hugged his oldest and dearest friend. "But what are you doing here? I thought you had passed on years ago."

"I did, but something has brought me back here."

"What do you mean?" Amidamaru looked at the forger questioningly. Mosuke sighed.

"I do not no, but I knew I had to find you and..."

"And?"

Mosuke sighed again and pointed down to Manta.. "I was told by someone that I am meant to protect this boy."

"What? By who?"

"Again I do not know."

"This is bothersome. I've been having a feeling that this trip is not going to be all that it seems to be."

"Perhaps that is why I have been called back."

"Maybe. For now we both should be watchful."

"I agree." Mosuke looked to the sleeping teens and the little one across from them. "Should we inform them of what is going on."

"We will, but let them rest and when we get to the Asakura house we should talk to Yoh's grandfather first." Amidamaru looked to his friend. "For now you should remain hidden from them until we know what all is going on."

"If you think it best."

"Just for now."

Mosuke nodded. "Then I shall keep watch from a distance for the time being."

"Until we meet again." Mosuke smiled, one that looked much like the one Yoh and Manta would give each other.

Amidamaru returned the smile, again eerily similar. With that Mosuke disappeared. The samurai stared at the spot his friend had just been. He had waited so many years to see him again. Now they had reunited and it was when they were sure danger was near. The samurai straightened and shook his head. Now was not the time for moping, he had to be as vigilant as ever now. If danger was near it was his job as not only a guardian ghost but as a friend to watch over these three.

Settling down on the floor between the seats Amidamaru kept a watchful eye the rest of the trip.

Oh! Danger is coming? Why is Mosuke here? And what the heck is the plan with Hoshi-san? There is only one thing to do! Only one way to find out!

I have to write another chapter! So until then please leave a review. There is still a ways to go for this story and I have a few ideas up my sleeve. They are so amazing and secret I don't even know what they are.

Wait? O.O
