Nalou sighs. Walking since hours now. She's tired and just wants to rest. She's still trying to find a place where resting doesnt mean dying. Where she'll feel safe. She regrets leaving the cave she was already settled in, after all, kayamine worked so hard to find it... but she has to move on. So to move on, Nalou decided that leaving the cave where her lover died is a good idea. Our lost and pained girl continues to step forward in the wet snow. Her shoes and socks are soaked. The cold is making her feet badly hurt as she keeps on shivering, blowing in her hands to heat them up. She doesnt even feel her feets much anymore except from the agony they bring. Taking a few other shaky steps she crumbles on the ground, wincing. Why... Why is this happening... She whines and force herself back up. She can do it. She have to. She sighs away her feelings and continue to push herself. She suddenly notices a cave. It seems to have fire in it. Her eyes widden. Lights and heat plus a place to sleep... she starts to run toward it with her sudden rush of adrenaline. She arrives and sees both Inagme and Sachiko sleeping cuddled. She blushes but also feel her heart sting. This could have been her. It could have been her and kayamine if she wasnt so useless.
She deeply sighs and sits away from them but near from the fire. She takes care of it and put some wood. She'll go as soon as she feels her feets again. she doesn't want to bother them. She has no right to do so anyway. Plus, they can't team so what would be the point. Her feets starts to hurt as she starts to feel them again. The blood starts to flow normally and so, not used to heat after so long in the cold, Nalou starts feeling dizzy. She slowly falls asleep beside the fire. She said she'd go but wasnt expecting to feel so sick. The fire starts to slowly weaken. After a while it extinguishes. As everything darkens around her, Nalou starts to think about Kayamine. Even if she said she should move on, the death of the person she loves marked her. It haunts her. The moment she closes her eyes and finally fall asleep a nightmare wake her up, sweating and breathing hardly almost in pants. This wakes up Sachiko and Inagme who both panic waking up quickly but also fake being surprised about being cuddled. Before both could get into an other argument like usual or just simply talk about what has happened in the last 5 hours, they turn to Nalou who's crying wiping her tears. Inagme sighs rolling her eyes. Acting like a bitch is inagme's speciality. So even if she's actually worried about the girl, you can forget her showing it. Compared to Sachiko.
-Ho god whats wrong... euh... Nalou was it? - Sachiko asks unsure and hesitantly with a hint of anxiety. Inagme sighs and lie back down cuddling her coat that got warmed up by the fire and the cuddling.
-i-im fi-fine - Nalou chokes out in tears trying to breath correctly. Sachiko hugs her
-its okay breath breath - Sachiko says slowly. She suddenly notices the fire and the wood.
-Did you bring that? - Sachiko asks. Nalou shakes her head. Inagme growls
-i was cold, i figured a fire would be a great thing, no need to thank me at all huh - she says in a bitchy way. Sachiko sighs at the behavior. Why is inagme acting like that again? She was kind and compassionate minutes ago? Sachiko clicks. Inagme isn't actually bitchy. Its just a cover. She didnt change. Inagme didnt change at all. She just opened herself. When theres people she doesn't trust around she immediately closes herself and act cold and distant.
-Wow you can't be anymore rude - Nalou sighs diverting her gaze as inagme diverts hers
-Can i? - Inagme pouts saying this. Sachiko giggles at the adorable sight. She suddenly freeze. Adorable sight? Well. With everything that happened lately...
-Inagme come over here we can split up a bread. - Sachiko smiles slightly at inagme who sighs and nods approaching her. Its now Nalou's turn to deeply sighs and Sachiko notices it.
-O-oh yes would you want some? - she asks but Inagme stops Sachiko from giving it.
-we can't its in the rule, Helping someone from an other team causes punishement and i don- - Inagme pauses. I don't want to risk losing you
-I don't want to risk my safety - she instead say. Nalou sighs yet again and get up.
-its okay il lgo no worries. I need to find my own place anyway and i don't want to be a burden or danger to your team - she shrugs leaving. Sachiko looks away, feeling bad for not being able to help. She might have an attitude but she isn't selfish. Quite the opposite actually. Inagme lets out a deep and frustrated breath sitting down and banging gently her head against the cave wall behind her. Sachiko sits beside her.
-so you really did the fire and all huh - Sachiko whispers.
-are you really that surprised? Inagme isnt useless - she pouts looking away. Sachiko giggles,
-when she drops her cover that is - Sachiko teases. Inagme pouts but smiles slightly to Sachiko,
-I guess for once i can give you a point, - she softly chuckles. Still tired. Plus, for some reason she feels safe being herself and open with Sachiko. The said girl blushes a little hearing Inagme's laugh. Its a pleasant sound. She smiles gently and lets her head fall on Inagme's shoulder. The taller girl jumps a little at first surprised but raise a teasing eyebrow.
-are you that tired? - Inagme giggles. Sachiko reddens a little again
-maybe i am... - she says. Inagme smiles but suddenly blink
-i forgot, i wanted us both to go chase for some food. We have plenty wood here to make fire and all, we can also boil some snow and all for potable water and if we can hunt some food... we'll be in a good position. - Inagme proposes. Sachiko smiles
-You? Proposing to actually do something logical without a whine? - Sachiko says chuckling to Inagme who roll her eyes.
Kirinai and Kyouko have been awake for some while now. Both of them are walking around searching for literally anything that might be useful. They let some jokes slip and walk around not giving the world a damn. Which can be quite... a problem. The moment Kyouko turns around to face Kirinai she walks back right into a trap. A smaller and less mortal version of a bear trap. Kirinai widden his eyes and Kyouko yells in pain closing her eyes feeling tears in them. Feeling the metal holding tightly her leg, digging in the flesh and muscles.
-K-kyouko! Fuck Shit Fuck What do i do!? - Kirinai ask panicking. Kyouko groans in pain trying to talk but the pain is unbearable and its the only thing filling her head at the moment. She gasps for air crying in pain and falling to the floor and hold tightly in the snow even if her hands are bare and getting colder. Her blood mixes with the melting snow and kirinai tries to think but the fear of losing Kyouko or her being extremely wounded makes him unable to think correctly. Come on what would ya sis do? WHAT WOULD SHE DO!? She healed you multiple time didnt she!? What Would She Do!? Kirinai whines and suddenly he remembers what his sister would do in such situations. He removes his winter coat that he won from answering the question right and remove his shirt. He shivers violantly since the temperature is still cold to be bare chest. He starts to rip his shirt. But he has to remove Kyouko's leg from this thing. In these 10 seconds of panick and thinking, Kyouko manages to gulp and form a sentence.
-T-The-res a t-thing t-to p-ress a-and it will rea-lease me - She groans in pain panting and gritting her teeth. Kirnai nods feeling his eyes water from the bloody sight. He takes in a deep breath and approaches carefully. He looks for the button and finds it, applying pressure on it as it unclips from Kyouko's leg. She yells in pain again.
-I-Im sorry hold on tight okay? Ill make bandages - he mumbles as he starts to wrap his shirt around her leg and tighten a lot for the wound to be under pressure so that the blood loss becomes less dangerous.
-i-i dont know what else to do im sorry - he whines. Kyouko painfully smiles
-c-carry me t-to our cave... and l-lets try to think about what to do - she mumbles stuttering from agony sometimes. He nods quickly and carefully and gently help her to the cave. After a while, to their relief, they arrive with no problems to the cave.
-we need to clean the wound... - Kyouko groans out. Kirinai gulps and nods.
-C-can i borrow a piece of yer shirt to dip it in the lac near? - he asks her. She nods and let him tear a small part of her shirt. He runs to the waterfall and soak the whole thing. He comes back and gulp. Kyouko removed the sort of bandage he made. The wound is ugly and terrifying. He approaches shakily and breath out.
-i-its going to hurt you know? - he whines. She sighs out in pain and kirnai blinks when an idea pop. He looks around for a branch. He comes back with one rather quickly, not wanting to let Kyouko with that wound alone for a lot of time.
-i-i know it sucks and that its gonna taste aweful but ya need to bite in that while i clean it okay? its gonna help - he explains. She hesitently nods and take the smaller than average branch to bite in it. The taste is in fact disgusting but she knows its for the best.
-r-ready? - Kirinai asks. Kyouko nods unsure. He starts off by gently gently putting the shirt piece on the wound. Kyouko throws her head back in pain tearing up and biting hardly in the branch feeling her teeth sink in. It hurt oh god it hurt. Some tears slip at the feeling of it. She spits the branch and cries a little before making sign to Kirinai that she wants to stop. He freeze
-i-im sorry b-but we need to do it - he whines. She gulps
-i-i know it hurt c-can we just take a small break? Please it hurt so bad - she says. He shakes his head
-w-we can't stop we started cleaning it we have to continue, its painful but we have to do it now... - he shakily says. Kyouko sighs in pain and nod knowing he's right. She takes the branch again. He continue to clean the wound with the most care he can. Muffled scream of pain and muffled groans slips from Kyouko.
Ayumi sighs. She climbed a tree helping herself with the rope. What can she do now? She doesnt know. She wished she did. Its just plain useless. No teammates no parents no one. She's alone. Not that its unusual but...
-being alone... is depressing... - she sighs deeply looking at the sky, lying down on her back on a big and solid branch. The sky is a lot more sunny now. The tree has pratically no leaves and so the sun hits her directly. Its warm... its good... She sighs and close her eyes. She's tired... andso slowly falls asleep. She wakes up at the sound of a muffled scream of pain. Huh? She walks toward it and notice Kirinai and Kyouko. She widden her eyes. She rushes over quickly.
-w-what happened to her? - she asks not minding the fact that they should be her... ''ennemy''. Kirinai whines.
-S-she walked into a trap and she seems hurt and i can't seem to be able to help and she wants me to stop and she even collapsed from the pain but usually its my sister that takes care of medical stuff - he says quickly trying to stop the bleeding with bandages.
-h-have you cleaned it? - Ayumi asks. He nods
-I-i just did but the pain was so strong she collapsed - he mumbles as he tightens the bandage.
-o-okay well i think she's going to be okay if she can heal quickly. At least the wound is clean so less chances of sickness or infection - Ayumi says.
-have this.. - she tears a part of her jacket. After all, the heat is starting to come back so it shouldnt be too much of a problem.
-Use it to change the bandage in 4 to 6 hours. - she explains.
-i have to go we can't really help eachother - she mumbles. Kirinai nods.
-T-thanks a lot thought.. - he mumbles going back to checking on Kyouko. Ayumi nods and sighs too. She walks away looking up at the birds chipping in some trees. She sighs softly but smile faintly. What can she do now thought? What is it even to do. She's hungry. Very hungry. She decides to go check if she can find some easy food. She looks around in the bush near a frozen lake. Not expecting much in all honesty. To her surprise she ends up finding wild berries that do not seem to be affected by the cold. She realizes the danger of simply eating them without knowing what they can do. They look small and round but have spots on them. Small red dots. On a blue-ish purple. It would look like a blueberry if it wasnt from said red spots.
-ugh... these doesnt look safe... - she whispers to herself. She sighs and decide to pick some and go to the lake. She breaks some of the ice and use the water under it to wash the said fruit. The red seems to wash off. Leaving normal berries. She blinks. Was it all just decoration? Was it fake? Is it safe to eat then? She sighs and takes the risk, eating only one. The taste is normal. perfectly fine. It tastes just like any blueberry she ate before. She decides to eat a little more, still careful. At least she'll have a little something in her stomach while she searches for something more nutritive. She suddenly blink as an idea pops in her head. Fish. Fishing. The lake. Maybe she can get a fish? She'd need a fire but that's managable. She decides to look into the water of the lake and there IS some!
-Oh god now i just need to know how to get one... - she mumbles. She thinks. She does have a rope... but its kind of huge. It wouldnt go unoticed. As she was thinking, she never heard the thing creeping behind her. Until she turned around and noticed...
Inagme and Sachiko started looking for food. They both had fire already so they just needed something to melt snow and something to cook. After an hour or so, both encountered a rabbit.
-Well, we have food there - Inagme says pointing to it. Sachiko blinks
-but Inagme thats a poor little rabbit - she says
-yeah and we're hungry as hell and if we arent ready to chase something to eat then we'll be the poor dying girls - Inagme sighs deeply. Discouraged.
-Fine. - Sachiko says
-but how are we supposed to get the said rabbit? It's way faster than us - Sachiko finishes. Inagme thinks
-Um... maybe... run after it and ill try to catch it while you make it run to me? - Inagme proposes. Sachiko scoffs
-Of course im doing all the running, - she teases. Inagme rolls her eyes
-Yup now come on do it - Inagme says getting behind a bush. Sachiko rolls her eyes too and then proceed to chase after the said rabbit. It seems to work. It heads to the bushes but just before Inagme could get out and try to catch it, it turns and run the opposite direction. Sachiko tries to restrain it but ends up tripping and falling in the bush, on top of inagme. She blushes a bit
-S-sorry! - she says quickly getting up
-I think this island as something for the fall on someone cliche - Inagme scoffs. Sachiko blushes a bit more
-yeah i guess so, but what about the rabbit? - She sighs
-Lets try to get it, it can't be that hard, theres 2 of us - Inagme shrugs. As she said those words, sounds could be heard from north. They both looked up in front of them to see almost 24 rabbits rushing to them.
-Are rabbits aggressive? - Inagme asks awkwardly. Sachiko gulps slightly.
-Should i remember you everything on this damn island is evil? - She says stepping back. The rabbits suddenly starts to grow bigger and scarier.
-holy shit, do you still have our sword on you? - Inagme asks quickly. Sachiko nods showing it and suddenly a rabbit jumps on her but she swings it at the same time, cutting the rabbit in a half, very quickly and easily.
-Um... - Sachiko says half scared and half happy.
-That sword is sharp holy crap, come on keep swinging but dont get me wrong, ill help! ill try to swing them to you! Ever played baseball? - Inagme asks. Sachiko nods
-Kirinai used to, so i played with him - she says getting ready to swing the sword. Inagme takes a big branch near and as soon as a rabbit tries to jump on her she swings the strongest she can, it gets thrown to sachiko who quickly yelps not expecting it to arrive that fast and swings again. After a short while both are exhausted. The rabbits retreated. They have plenty of rabbit meat now thought. One good thing. Sachiko sighs, panting. so does inagme. god.
-let's go back to our cave... we have food for a good while... - inagme mumbles going to Sachiko and picking up the bloody meat but immediately drops it. frowning
-ugh this is disgusting why should I touch this ew fuck no - inagme scoffs. Sachiko shakes her head and even if it's disgusting to her too she takes the most she can
-come on Inagme, let's go.. - she smiles. inagme blushes a bit and pout. She takes what she can and follows. they arrive at their cave and sigh deeply. God are they tired. Inagme suggests starting the fire and watching over while Sachiko rests for a while. Sachiko thought it trought and accepted as long as when she'd wake up inagme would rest. Both agreed. and so while Sachiko is currently sleeping, inagme is cooking some rabbit meat, practically salivating if it wasn't from the fact her parents didn't raise like some sort of animal. She waits by the fire and as soon as she judges one of the rabbit ready she eats it. God it feels good. The meat is tender and well cooked. Each bites are delightful and warm, which is good in the cold. She sighs out, pleased. She ate the equivalent of 3 steaks. She really was hungry. She feels herself grow tired after a short while and decide to wake Sachiko so they can keep on cooking the food. Sachiko smiles at her faintly and inagme returns it.
-alright I'll take care of it - Sachiko says. inagme sighs happily and closes her eyes.
-don't burn the cave down while I sleep - inagme jokes chuckling sleepily. Sachiko smiles and shake her head.
-don't worry about it. - she says. Inagme soon falls asleep and Sachiko watches her while one of the rabbit cooks. She smiles, Inagme is goergous but she also has something yet very cute and childish about her behavior most of the time. Sachiko starts eating until her stomach is satisfied smiling to herself. Why deny it anymore? She loves her. She's sure of it.
Nalou climbs the mountain. Its high, slippery, cold and hurtful. Her hand slips and she pratically crashes to the ground but catch herself again. She lets out a breath of relief and keeps on climbing. Theres a cave up in the mountain and she's going to make it her home. Her hands are freezing and shaking from the intense and heavy atmosphere the height of the mountain gives. More she climbs it, more it seems to get harder to breath correctly and more the cold seems to worsen. She decides to take a break on a stable edge of the giant mount. She huff in her hands every last trace of air she can to heat them up. The tip of her fingers are a blue-ish color. She knows it means she clearly needs to do something about it. She whines and looks around. She tries to regular her breathing to make the most of the little air the aptitude lets her get. Her ears are ringing a bit too. She yawns a bit, exhausted and knowing it might help for her ears. Kayamine... ... Curling up and shivering she mutters a simple word,
-why... - before shaking her head. She has to stop drowning herself in guilt and sorrows, it won't help anyone. She looks up to the sky, the sun is bright and blinding. Just as she comes to look back down, snow slides down directly on her head. She pouts but can't help but laugh. She's so unlucky. Its not an amused laugh more than a desesperate one. She wipes the snow off her face and hair and groan, feeling sore. ugh im so tired... i feel like i could just sleep this entier thing away... maybe wake up and see that all this was just a bad dream...
She turns around and tries to glance over the border of rocks that allowed the snow to fall on her. The cave is near. She can make it if she can just find a good grip. But she's so weakened that she has a hard time even knowing if she'd be able to use her force to climb. Its worth a shot... She jumps and holds on tightly to a rock groaning loudly as she tries to raise herself. Just a little more... come on...
-Gh... - she gives herself a swing and manages to get herself on top of the border, the cave is only few feets away on her right, she can do this. Right? She takes in a deep breath and moves slowly toward the cave. She almost slips on the way but quickly put her foot down safely somewhere that won't scatter and fall. Once she reaches her goal she enters the home carved in the mountain.
-... - she shivers staying silent as she sighs deeply once inside. Its dark and no creatures seems to live here. She lays down relaxing and taking in deep breath to get back energy and calm her heart beat. She realizes that there is clearly less oxygene the higher you are because each puff of breath she takes doesn't seem to be satisfying. She sighs lightly.
-... - she continues to keep a silence uncomfortable even to her, even if she's alone. She feels some water from the cave's ceiling drop onto her face. She wipes it. She feels desperate. What can she do. She feels like her life wont ever come back to normal. When will it stop? What even is normal living anymore. She slowly falls into a deep slumber. Dreaming of her old life. Hurting and crying in her sleep while being so happy in said dream. Or should it be considered a nightmare? She ends up dreaming about Kayamine. Missing her warmth, her smile... her long soft hair she took care of so well... the tears slowly stops as a small and weak smile replaces them. It hurt but if she can cling to this small feeling for however how long she can... she will.Later she wakes up stretching a bit feeling emptiness again. She sighs. She'll keep in mind this dream and use it to be determined. She just remembered the reason she has to win this game. She looks around sighing. She needs to remember where this cave is. Its now her sort of home after all. She painfully get up, feeling sore from the climbing and running. She groans a bit at that. She huffs and head toward the exit. The snow seems to have been practically entirely melted away. She sighs and tries to go down the mountain safely. She slides a bit when the surface seems appropriate for such things. Its easier to go down this stupid rock than to climb it. Ill have to climb it again later... ugh... She takes her head in her hands and take deep breath. It feels good, each breath she takes feels good and calming. She looks around and notices flowers and bushes that seems to have berries in them.
so Uh I decided to simply post it as it is, you'll have the rest an other time! can't guarantee anything but hey! have at least this guy's...
