Avery

And the female did go out to get coffee with Ivy. That morning she woke up extra early to get ready. The woman didn't have her shift until a little after noon, so she awoke with a good attitude. The female was a bit anxious eating her sugar invested cereal. Avery giggled to herself lightly remembering when she was a kid, she'd used to sneak her favorite cereal into the cart, swapping it for the boring corn flakes her mother used to try and make her eat.

Avery blankly flipped through the channels of the television, as she sat at the kitchen island. She unlocked her phone, looking at a message that she had received. It was from Dominique. Oh boy. It was just an apology to Avery of how she embarrassed her at her job, and that she didn't mean it was just the sex. There was an 'I love you' at the end. Avery just replied a lengthy message saying if Dominique texts her again she'll call the police. Avery rolled her eyes, and went to wash her bowl and spoon.

She made her way to her closet and room, feeling accomplished that she did infact get a chance to get settled in and unpack all of her belongings. Avery walked into her walk in closet and looked at her attire. The woman didn't want to dress up too much, but then underdressed. After some contemplating, Avery decided to pick simple black skinny jeans and a black Nirvana band tee. The female had black vans to match. She placed her stud back into her nose, taking it out when she worked. Ivy and her where to meet at the coffee shop at eleven. It was ten-thirty, so Avery looked at her hair in the mirror to make sure it was okay. It was perfect, her hair was shaved on both sides, into a boyish faux hawk. It was hot in her own way, giving her an edgy look. Avery left.

Avery was antsy awaiting for Ivy's arrival. There were butterflies all in her stomach, and she bit at her lip. She played with a napkin at the table, afraid that maybe Ivy stood her up. Maybe five more minutes she'd stay. Once the fifths minute came, there she was. Ivy rushed to the table.

"Oh my gosh! Avery I'm so sorry I'm late, I got into a fight with my editor." She paused taking her seat across from Avery, and then scooting in closer, "He's such a jackass I swear." She took off her black cardigan. She ran fingers through her hair. "Ugh, I told him I had a date today, he held me late on purpose."

"It's all good Ivy." Avery had an amused look on her face, "You look nice by the way." giving a wink at the end. And Ivy did. She wore a nice spaghetti strap dress that was all back with white roses as the design. It showed all of her curves in the right places, but gave enough wonder to the mind.

Ivy blushed, "Thanks."

A pause.

"So Avery, you like Nirvana?" Ivy was surprised referring to Avery's shirt.

"Love them. I mean who doesn't." Avery grinned. Running fingers through her hair she continued, "So, if I may why did you and your editor get into an argument?"

Ivy rolled her eyes playfully, "He's such a douche. I swear. So, basically he didn't approve of my article this week, stating it was way too opinionated."

Avery grinned, "Meaning?"

"Meaning that I basically said that Edward Kane, yeah the guy that's governor is a slime ball. The funds that were supposed to be used to fix up the local schools and theatre was never used to do just that. Hm~ where did the money go~?" she placed a finger on her lips, Avery was jealous of her finger at that moment, "I wonder if it was to help fund his shiny Porsche?" she stuck a tongue out, showing her piercing. "Slime I tells ya'!" Avery laughed, loving her sense of humor.

"I love your dedication."

"I take it sorta personal that he used the funds for that. Well it's like the elphant in the room, we know he used the money for it. Most people just don't have the guts to say it. But I was a theatre kid in Highschool, loved it ya' know?" Ivy smiled bright, "What about you Avery?"

Avery thought for a moment, "Well, I love orchestra. I played the cello. I still do from time to time, I just haven't touched in the longest. Life is getting in the way." Ivy smiled, lacing her fingers.

"You'd have to play for me sometime."

"Will do." smoothly, Avery winked.

"What about your job?" Ivy had a glint of curious in her eyes.

Avery looked at Ivy, "Well, I haven't gone on an official mission yet. Nothing's really been happening much which is well. I graduated the academy with high marks so I'm ranked pretty well. I'm a pilot, a nurse and pretty good with a sniper." She said simply. "Most of the time, I just do paperwork on the job for now, there's been no word for terrorist attacks for a bit. Which is a good thing." Ivy nodded, she was interested.

Avery made eye contact with Ivy, the looked around the café around them. She decided that she'll quickly order two drinks for them to share, "Hey you want something?"

"Yes please can you get me a coffee. I like it black." Ivy went to give Avery some cash, Avery placed her hand out.

"It's on me~" Avery winked standing up to go and order.

Piers

The ride was painstakingly slow. It felt as if it dragged on longer than necessary. They've finally landed in Nevada, an exact one mile radius from the Area 51 Correctional Facility. Piers got out of the helicopter, as did the pilot.

"Mr. Nivans, you are exactly one mile from Area 51 Correctional Facility." Piers nodded. He was attentive. The pilot paused, "Lift your shirt." What the fuck? Piers couldn't disobey an order though, "I'm not going to do anything weird, but I have to put this on you." It was a bug, the same kind that Jill Valentine had on her chest when Wesker had the P30 continuously pump into her blood stream. Fuck. Piers groaned. The pilot then handed him a vile.

"Whats this?" Piers questioned.

"The C-Virus. After you get Downing, you are to release this onto the air and infect the facility so there are no witnesses." Piers felt sick to his stomach.

Piers paused, his jaw hard, "How do you live with yourself?"

The pilot shrugged, "It pays the bills."
