Seven
Piers
The male had walked through the hot Nevada sun. Piers had sunglasses on so it took away from some of the scolding rays but still didn't make up for the humidity. Piers found himself shedding off a layer. Finally, making his way in front of the gate, he reluctantly readied his sniper.
He looked at the sniper longingly. It didn't compare to his MP-AF that he recieved from Chris as a present when he first joined the BSSA. A sense of anxiety washed over him, and he missed home...he missed Chris. His mind raced;was he replaced? Was he forgotten? Piers shook his head, pushing the thoughts to the side, and his mind was also clouded and pounding from the drugs that are being pumped inside of him.
Looking up, he noticed a gate. By looking, he can tell that there was two cameras on each side of the corners of the building. He guessed there wasn't much high security because Area 51 is an unmarked place on the maps...so they thought. Piers decided on going through the back, quickly sniping the cameras and breaking the lenses. He figured he had fifteen minutes to complete his mission. Fifteen being the magic number, kept in the front of his mind as a reminder.
Piers ran, realizing that alarms were going off loudly and security guards pouring out of the door one by one. Piers immediately took action, sniping the men and walked inside. Once inside the building, he ditched the sniper rifle, realizing it'll only slow him down. He looked up, finding a vent, knocking it out and crawling inside.
It was cramped, but Piers could manuver around somewhat. Not freely. The vents were actually surprisingly posh, no filth to be found. Making a sharp left, the man noticed another vent to look through. It was the monitor room, for all the cameras in the facility. By counting the people in the room, there was only three. He'd have to take them out if he wants to get any further with this mission. The male grabbed a mustard gas grenade and just dropped it into the room. The men yelled, but soon the cries turned into pleading gasps for oxygen. Piers internally felt sick from these acts but can't stop himself.
The male jumped out of the vent, as the gas cleared. He went to quickly figure out as to where they were keeping Downing. it took a couple of moments but he wasn't far from him. They placed the criminal containment close to the security monotoring room. Piers shut off all of the cameras, then destroyed the entire panel of monitors so no one can turn the cameras back on for evidence.
Avery
Avery had arrived back to the table with Ivy's coffee. The female gave a soft, subtle grin. It was a sense of nervousness that she felt all of sudden. But tried to shrug it off.
"Thanks." Ivy winked at Avery sweetly.
Avery nodded as reply, sticking her tongue out before she lifted her hot chocolate up to drink. The woman scanned the coffe shop again, but to her despair Dominique was there. Shit. Avery avoided to look in her direction at all costs.
"You alright?" Ivy was concerned, she leaned across the small table to rub Avery's hand softly.
The female tried to put on her best smile, though feeling Dominique staring holes into her, "I'm fine." trying her best to sound convincing. Ivy just nodded, not pressing any further and Avery internally was realieved.
"So, I have this blog that I read frequently and it's rather interesting."
Avery put her drink down and smiled, "Do tell."
Ivy nodded, running fingers through her hair, "Well, it's about conspiracy theories."
"Oh gosh, you read those?" Avery raised a brow teasing.
Ivy stuck her tongue out, "Ugh, don't judge. But, it's theories about the government lying to us."
"That's totally not clichè."
"Oh hush." Ivy put a finger on her lip, and Avery yet again was jealous of that finger. "So, it explains back in nineteen ninety-eight about the happenings in Raccoon City. Apparently-" Ivy was cut off.
"So, we don't talk for a couple weeks and you've already found someone else? Who is this hoe?" Oh Dominique.
"What the hell? Get out of here Dominique. And I will not stand for you talking about Ivy this way. I told you. Leave. Me. Alone." Avery stood to look at Dominique face to face.
Dominique put her hand seductively on Avery's arm, "Come home, I miss you." Avery rolled her eyes. Ivy sat there awkwardly not knowing what to say or do. The female shifted running fingers through her hair.
Avery leaned over to Dominique's ear, "Leave. Try to make contact with me again and I'm calling the police." she ended it with a smile, Dominique looked at her; eyes iced. She stomped off.
Avery watched her leave the small cafe, then sat down. Ivy stood there looking back at her. "Sorry."
"Trouble in paradise?"
"Hardly. That was my ex. It took me awhile to realize she was a raging bitch, until she waltzed into my job screaming and shouting about how I was the one cheating. But get this; she was the one that actually was."
Ivy mouth was slightly agape, "No way."
"Way." Avery took a sip of her hot chocolate. "But enough about my raging wolf bitch ex, tell me about your conspiracy theory endevour." Avery joked.
Ivy grinned, "Well, apparently back in nineteen ninety-eight there was an bioterrist attack in Racoon City in Pennsylavania. The government lied. And there's an entire timeline of events with perfect details on everything." Avery choked on her hot chocolate, hastily grabbing a napkin to wipe her mouth. How the hell does the general general public have access to this information?!
"Gosh, you're going to make me worry sick about you." Ivy grabbed her hand, rubbing it.
Avery nodded, "Is this open to the public?"
"Yes..why? Is it true?" Ivy seemed hesitant.
The female totally ignored the question, "Is this website old, new?"
"It's fairly new, just literally put on the Internet two days ago." The female nodded. Okay, so there's some time.
"Avery, you still didn't answer my question." Suddenly, Ivy's phone rang. Avery eyes widened, saved by the call.
"Huh? What?! Fine, I'll be there." Ivy was reluctant. She hung up the phone, pacing it back into her purse.
"Everything okay?"
"Yeah, I just have to go. My stupid editor screwed up all the manuscripts so I have to help him with an all nighter so we can make the deadline."
Avery nodded, "I see, well goodluck." she was disappointed.
Ivy looked at her, "I'm sorry."
"It's fine. But, I'm going to see you again, right?" Avery winked, she was smooth.
"Hm, confident aren't we?" Ivy placed a finger on her lip. Avery was truly envious pus of that finger.
"What's wrong with a bit of confidence?" It was said more as a statement than anything.
Ivy smiled, "Well, tomorrow night I'm going to the new club that opened, Flaming Rainbow. You should come."
"See you there."
Ivy smiled, "Later."
"Be safe."
And it was at that exact moment, that Avery wanted Ivy to be hers.
Piers
It was ten minutes into the initial debut of Piers' mission. He's had obtained the subject. Downing. He was more than happy to get released out of his containment. Piers was guiding him down the hall, different security guards coming at them, Piers taking them out one by one. Literally, a one man army.
"Who sent you?" Downing's accent was relavent.
Piers side glanced him, "I can't give you this information. But once we hit outside I want you to run as fast as you can. I'm going to realese the C-Virus. I don't want you to get infected from being in range. That'll be a pain if you happen to get infected." Piers scared himself how indifferent he sounded. Like it was nothing.
Downing nodded. Getting to the front doors he booked it. Once seeing that Downing was far enough, Piers released the vile into the air. Blue smoke filling the air, men turned into monsters.
A/N: Happy New Years my loves!
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in like
a month. I've been busy and tired.
And please review and tell me what you
think about everything. I'm not sure
if I'm grasping Piers' character. But, I know I must
develop him more. But most of the developing will
happen when he and Chris reunite. As for Avery and Ivy
I personally love them, and my other O.C. Sonya. There's so much to them, you'll
more about them later.
I've tried to narrow down the chapters to this story to thirty. But I cant,
because I hate long chapters, and I don't have a book to plan everything out.
I literally write as I go.
Sorry I'm babbling on, but I want you guys to know how long it is
so you won't get bored, and know what to expect from me as a writer. Please
let me know if you have any comments on this story, I want to know. It'll only make
me better.
Goodbye loves, til' next time.
