Memory 1B
Sonya
The church bells finally settled. The village being eerily quiet, besides a shaken up chicken running past. A small chuckle escaped from Sonya's full lips. It was so out of place from the events just taken placed. The sky was a full on gray and each moment it seemed to turn darker. There was of dimming light and a slight sadness took place in the back of the female's mind, having a feeling this current town was the exact opposite of this nightmare taking place. Their livelihood swallowed by the plagas...never to be seen again. The female glanced at her partner, hands on her hips then speaking up, "So now what?"
"Well-..." Leon got cut of by his transmission ringing. He was slightly annoyed with this, nonetheless pulling the device out of his pocket.
"Leon how are you and Sonya doing?" Hunnigan was concerned, her glasses showed a gleam from the reflection of her computer. She was beautiful to Sonya.
"We're fine." Sonya was concise with her words.
"Good, look for a tower and follow the trail next to it."
"Okay...Leon out."
They were walking in an awkward silence again. Tolling quietness in the duo they began to check the area for useful items. Walking in a small shack next to the house of the epic showdown taken place. There was a thin layer of dust on almost everything. The table was set with rotted food, maggots infesting and reproducing before their very eyes. Repulsive. The female pulled her blade out and busted open a wooden crate. Shotgun shells. Sonya threw them at Leon rather aggressively, he caught them but sucked in some breath of irritation.
"Look, I know you're not into this whole partner thing... neither am I, but we don't have to ever interact with one another after this I'm sure." The male, firm in his tone. Sonya rolled her brown eyes, and running nimble fingers through her tightly curled hair. She soon put wrapped her ponytail into a tight bun, her hair always getting in the way of things. It was a messy bun yet, that's when...he took in her beautiful features.
The female had a soft brown complexion and her hair was a deep black color and her hair was long touching her bottom. Sonya was rather petite not being the most curvaceous woman, but her outfit complemented her small curves. Leon realized despite him being irritated with her he found that his favorite features of hers were her deep brown eyes and hair. He wanted to touch it. It was puff-like. The male found himself lost in her and quickly snapped back into reality.
"Helllooo, did you hear anything I said?" She was pissed, waving a hand in his face. The female crossed her arms.
"Y-yeah. You agreed with my statement. Good." Leon headed for the door. "C'mon."
Walking to the center of the village. Their feet moving, gravel being the only noise until she got closer to the fire with the cop that they came here with. His body was charred and a putrid smell of burning human flesh emitted from the scene. He was the annoying asshole that asked for her to hang out with her after the mission...nonetheless he was a human. He had a life outside of work. Family. Friends. Comrades.
Leon observed her grasping her choker, "Lo siento, mi amigo." she uttered weakly. Sonya knew what it was to lose someone dearly to her. Leon walked up to her and understood she was paying her respect to this man, and his lost life. "Leon..I disliked this man...but we must avenge his death and his partner's okay...by getting Ashley...and uncovering the truths behind this."
He placed a hand on her shoulder. She was so short compared to him. "We will." It was also a surprise to him that she spoke Spanish. He'll speak on it later on, as of right now they need to continue on.
Walking up the trail Leon spotted documents inside a smaller shed that caught his eye. He walked in Sonya following suit, he grabbed them. "What does it say?" she asked impatient.
"Will you give me a moment to read it?" Leon looked up briefly, along with his sarcastic tone.
"Perra..." she crossed her arms.
"Okay, I know I don't fluently speak Spanish but I know what that means." was all the blond said before he started to read the document aloud.
"Alert Order
Recently there has been information that a two United States government agents is here investigating the village.
Do not let these American agents get in contact with the prisoner.
For those of you not yet informed, the prisoner is being held in an old house beyond the farm. We will transfer the prisoner to a more secure location in the valley when we are ready. The prisoner is to stay here until further notice. Meanwhile, do not let the American agents near the prisoner.
We do not know how the American government found out about our village. But we are investigating.
However, I feel that this intrusion at this particular time is not just a coincidence.
I sense a third party other then the United States government involved here.
My fellow men, stay alert!
- Chief, Bitores Mendez"
Leon held up photos of them that they even took. Sonya's mouth was agape, "Ahh, these are great off guards. I'm cute."
Leon smiled and looked at his, "I'm cute too~" he joked, holding up a photo of him walking down a sidewalk.
Sonya smiled, "Chico~" she grabbed his photos and hers, placing them in one of her pockets. Leon blushed realizing she had called him cute.
"Vamonos!" she grabbed his hand and headed outside to the gate before them. Wondering what nightmares lie ahead.
Author's Note Please Read: I'm back. I figured to make this chapter a memory. Been awhile since we had one. I'm making this so it's the memories between Sonya and Leon. That's how their background will always be told through memories. The story is taking place after the events of Resident Evil 6. And a special thanks to HiddenVenia. Your review gave me life. I know it's been a month but I didn't forget. :) I dedicate this story to you and Stern. Hopefully, you will follow this literary disaster to the end. Thank you.
