Chapter 12 Road to survival

"Kyoto activate the storm mode" Hinata shouted as Kyoto flipped the switch and the metal sheeting covered the vehicle. The vehicle lowered itself on the ground and shoot spiked into the ground to keep it in place.

The Runners crashed onto the roof of the Tankbulance with a loud bang that shook the vehicle, if it was not for the spikes in the ground the vehicle would have turn over.

"Now we are stuck" Saya said as they glared at her.

"We have to find a way out of here before more runners come or they eat their way through the metal" Kyoto said as the other nodded their heads.

"They can teeth through the metal sheets?" Shizuka asked with a worried look on her face.

"Who know but we can't take that chance" Hinata said.

"Maybe leaving the mansion wasn't such a good idea" Takashi said as Misuzu glared at him

"Then you should have stayed then" Misuzu got up "I believed in Naruto-kun that's why I left the mansion"

"We do not have time to move slowly" Rei whispered as they heard the other zombies behind the door so there was no way out.

"Fine then let move fast but quietly" Kohta said as they started to move towards the window as zombie Kurokami moves around the room.

"That is one ugly bastard" Rei said as she looked at Kurokami as she made her way towards the window.

"Rei watch where you are going" Kohta whispered as they were about to passed Kurokami.

"Shut up fat boy I know what I am doing argh!" Rei screamed out as stepped on a sharp object.

Zombie Kurokami heard scream and started walking towards them when the door burst apart and the other zombies and Whopper came in.

"KYA!" Rei screamed out as Kurokami closer only for Kohta to tackle him to the ground.

"Get out of here!" Kohta shouted as Rei came to her senses and ran towards the window and stop "Forget about me just go!" Kurokami over powered him.

"I can't!" Rei replied as she saw Kurokami and the other zombies sink their teeth into Kohta. "I am sorry Kohta" as she looked down and saw a ladder on the wall but zombies was surrounding it also. She saw that the gate was a few feet away from the ladder and got an idea.

"I hope the ladder is long enough" as she pushed the ladder off the wall crushing the zombies below with her and the ladders weight "It worked" as she got up and ran towards the gate before the other zombies came after her.

*boom* the room was destroyed

"Kohta" She climbed the gate at a fast rate and was free before the other zombies realized and ran down the street looking for any form of transportation.

As she came she struck like a rabid viper and bit Naruto hard on his neck. They both panted and shivered in the after effects of their releases.

With Rei

Rei stretched her arms up above her head, rising on tip-toes and yawning in a decidedly unfeminine manner. The day had finally come and she going to be safe from all the zombies and be reunion with her mother.

"Rei, let's go" Yuuki shouted as she enter the room "The helicopter is here"

"Finally I will get to see my mom again" Rei said as she when to the bathroom and took off her sleeping outfit and put on her regular clothes.

"Rei hurry up!" Yuuki shouted as Rei came out of the bathroom.

"Let's go!" Rei said in an excited voice as they exit the room and walked to the stairs to the helicopter pad on the top of the building.

"I hope you die Man Slayer" Rei said with a smile on her face "And those fools, they should have stay at the mansion"

"Rei! Rei!" Yuuki shouted at her friend.

"Huh" Rei replied.

"I have been calling you for a minute now" Yuuki told her "We are here" she grabbed Rei and dragged her into helicopter.

"Yuuki-chan, how are the helicopters working when an EMP went off" Rei asked as they enter the helicopter "From what I heard about EMP they should not be"

"The guy's is a billionaire and a former soldier so he must have put some form of EMP protect in his helicopters" Yuuki informed her friend as they strapped themselves in

"I never knew that Shido's father was that rich?" Rei asked as Yuuki laughed.

"Hheehhehehe Shido's father is not the leader of Akatsuki" Yuuki as the helicopter took off.

With Naruto

"Naruto, please let me come with you?" Saeko asked again. She has been asking him to let her come with him on his training trip.

"Saeko, it's going to dangerous and you might get hurt" replied Naruto as Hinata, Kyoto and Shizuka arrived.

"I will be there to stop you if it get dangerous" Hinata said.

"B-but"

"No buts Naruto" Kyoto said with a smile on her face "We are safe in numbers"

"Fine" Naruto sigh.

With Rei and Yuuki

The helicopter was flying over the city on its way to Akatsuki safe house "We will be their two minutes"

"I can't believe I survive this mess" Rei said with a smile on her face. "And I did it all on my own"

"I have been meaning to ask you this question, where is the others?" Yuuki asked her friend.

"They all chose the man slayer over me" Rei said as she looked out the window "Can you believe that even that fool Takashi went with them" suddenly she saw something that Caught her eyes.

"What is it Rei?" Yuuki asked as Rei pointed at what she saw "You pass the binocular!" as the man gave it to her.

"What is it Yuuki?" Rei asked.

"It's one of the helicopters that left two days ago" Yuuki said as Rei started to cry "Your mom wasn't on that helicopter but my boyfriend and my other friends where" as tears came out of her eyes.

"I thought they went with Shido" Rei said as she hugged her friend.

"He left on the helicopter alone" Yuuki cried even harder.

"We are approaching the base" the pilot said as the helicopter began to descend as the approach the helipad on the ground in front of the building.

"Yes I am going to see my mom again" Rei said with a smirk on her face "I hope you die Naruto Uzumaki kukukuku" as they landed.

Runners

They are extremely mutated with exposed muscle tissue, disfigured sharp teeth. They are faster than normal zombies and they can leap great distances to maul their targets.
