Dance, Dance Revolution
Kevin, Charlie, and Dean stood in the arcade, watching the angels run to game to game with tickets and pockets full of quarters. At this rate the three humans were bound to be broke by the end of the day. They had been on their usual walk down the streets until Charlie spotted an old arcade and just had to go in. The angels were the ones that seemed to be having all the fun. They had never been in an arcade before and they wanted to try everything.
"Charlie?"
"What's up, Balthy?" Charlie asked as she made her way to the angel. Balthazar pointed at a large box with a flashing panel on the floor. A smile spread across Charlie's face. "Dance, Dance Revolution, huh?" she asked with a smirk. Balthazar eyes flicked over the game curiously before popping in some cash to the machine.
"Show me how it works?" the angel asked. Charlie smiled, cracked her knuckles, and stepped onto the panel. She pressed a few buttons and picked out a song before bending her knees and preparing herself.
"All you have to do is…Dance!" 'Walking on Sunshine' blared from the machine and the screen pulsed to life. Charlie began to tap her feet in certain areas on the lit up panel and Balthazar cheered enthusiastically. The others hurried over to watch Charlie, clapping along with the music. She did a quick spin, grabbing Balthazar and twirling him around with her before going back to tapping her feet on the multicolored squares. She dropped Balthazar down on the board, taking his hand. "Ready, Balthy?" she shouted over the music. The angel nodded and the two started dancing again. Their score went higher and higher as the two worked together, cranking up points until the music finally died. Charlie swung Balthazar up into her arms as she stepped off the platform, smiling proudly at the score board.
"Beat that, Mates!" Balthazar shouted, giving Charlie a high five. Kevin jumped up onto the board, yanking Sam and Gabriel along with him.
"You're on!" Kevin shouted, picking his song. 'Ice Baby' started playing and everyone started laughing as the two men and the tiny angel started to tap their feet on the colored tiles. They weren't the most graceful of dancers, but they were a hoot to watch. Sam was half bent over so he could hold Gabe's hands and help the angel spin. Kevin tripped over his own feet once or twice, bumping into the big moose next to him every so often. Charlie and Dean both wished they had brought their cameras along. When the music finally died down the two men and their angel sadly didn't have as high a score as Balthazar and Charlie, but it was still pretty high.
"Dean-o and Cassie's turn!" Gabe shouted, swinging up into Sam's arms and making a sucker appear in his mouth. Dean held up his hands, shaking his head. There was no way in hell he was going to dance. Sam rolled his eyes, grabbing his brother by the shoulders and pushed him to the game. Dean twirled back around, running from the game and out of the reach of Sam's big arms.
"Can't, Guys! My dance partner is missing," Dean stated, waving at the space the angel had been standing, but was now completely empty. Eyes went large then, twisting and spinning side to side in search for the trench coated angel. Nothing. Cas had just…vanished.
"Where the hell –" Sam went silent, holding up a hand to silence the others. Everyone listened, not hearing a thing. Dean opened his mouth to question his brother, but Charlie clapped a hand over his mouth to shut him up. They continued listening until a small giggle echoed from the game next to the packman system two more games down. The group walked down towards the game, eyes widening when they finally spotted the angel.
"Oh my god! Cas, what are you doing?!" In the glass case stuffed with toy animals sat Castiel. The angel was giggling happily in his glass box stuffed full with toys. He was holding a beanie baby that looked like it was supposed to be a hamster or guinea pig. Dean tapped on the glass currently holding one of his little angels, ganging Castiel's attention. "How did you even get in there?" the hunter questioned. Cas shrugged and lifted the stuffed animal up for Dean to see.
"I gots it!" the angel shouted happily. Dean pinched the bridge of his nose. Leave it to Cas to get stuck in a game just for an old stuffed rat. Dean pulled out a quarter, pushing the play button to the claw game and grabbing the stick that controlled the claw meant for grabbing toys.
"Dean?"
"Shut up, Sammy, I need to concentrate," Dean stated, slowly moving the claw towards Cas. Sam rolled his eyes at the brother, mentioning that they could just ask the manager. Dean refused though. Saying that this way was less of a hassle. Boy was he ever wrong! Whenever the claw came even close to grabbing Cas the angel would wiggle away or decide to dive into the pile of toys he was sitting on. Dean ran a hand over his face, tapping on the glass with his free hand. "Sit still!" he shouted at the angel. Asking a thousand year old angel in a four year olds' body to sit still sadly wasn't enough. Cas would fidget, swaying back and forth every once and a while. Dean gritted his teeth, sweat building up on his forehead. Cas was right beneath his claw. He had him. Slamming his fist against the button, Dean watched as the clow grabbed Cas by the back of the coat and pulled him into the air. Cas squealed in terror and shock, swinging his body in every direction in attempt to get free. In the end he had succeeded. He freed himself of the claw, but the claw had taken his coat along as well. Dean paled snow white when the claw dropped the coat into the little compartment. He and the others only had a second before Cas burst into sobs, shattering the glass containing him and a few screens of other games. Dean grabbed the angel quickly, wrapping him in the trench coat and bobbing up and down in attempt to calm the angel. When Cas finally did calm down Charlie started to push the two towards the dancing game that had been forgotten for a few moments. Dean let out an irritated sigh as he stepped on the board and flipped through the songs. "Let's kick some ass, Cas," Dean stated, tapping at a song he wanted. Cas cheered out in agreement, no longer upset. In seconds the two were dancing to 'Carry on My Wayward Son' and surpassing Charlie and Balthazar's score.
Thank you, Angel of Randomosity, for the request! Twistedmind, don't worry I will do a Just Dance game too.
