Home Alone

The hunters needed a break and both Kevin and Charlie knew it. They've been snapping every once and a while from being cooped up with the angels all day and it was starting to drive everyone else crazy. That's now why Dean was giving Kevin a long list of things like any other parent for when the hunters finally left to go on some hunt for a day or two to cool down. Kevin wasn't really listening. He lived with the angels after all. He knew what they needed. Dean on the other hand didn't think so. Dean was just about to flip go on to what the angels needed for their bath of all things when Charlie finally interrupted him.

"Dean, we've got it. We'll call you if we need anything," Charlie stated, taking Dean by the shoulders and pushing him towards the door where Sam and Bobby were waiting impatiently.

"You sure?" Dean questioned as Sam opened the door. Charlie nodded for what felt the hundredth time before pushing Dean through the door.

"Wait!" the angels shouted, rushing over to Dean, Sam, and Bobby. The three hunters kneeled down and the angels lunged at them, holding the hunters tight before finally letting go.

"See you in a little while," Dean said, getting up from his feet. The angels waved goodbye one last time before Charlie finally shut the door. She let out a long sigh and looked at Kevin and the angels.

"Well, what should we do?"

Charlie and the angels sat on the floor of the living room, watching as Home Alone on the television. Kevin chose to join them then, carrying a dusty old box. Charlie frowned at him as he sat down next to her with the box in hand. It had weird markings on it and looked like it hadn't been touched in years.

"What's that?" Balthazar questioned, smiling curiously at the box.

"I found it in Bobby's room. It looks like he was trying to decode the scribbles on it or something. I thought we could help him out a little," Kevin said, smiling at the angles. Charlie paused the movie and everyone gathered around the little box centered in front of them.

"Can you three read it?" Charlie asked, directing her question to the three angels currently staring at the weird marks on the box. The angels nodded, squinting a little as they read.

"It's an opening spell," Gabe stated. Charlie and Kevin shared a look.

"What's it say?" There was a silent pause for a moment before the angels started speaking in what sounded like Japanese. The box made a popping sound then and they watched as the lid of the box popped off. The five leaned closer to the box, jumping back when two fat little creatures jumped out. The creatures jumped up on top of the TV, smiling cunningly at the five. The creatures were slightly green and had big cat slit eyes. Their ears looked like a bats and their noses reminded Charlie and Kevin of Voldemort.

"Uh, Angels, what are those things?" Kevin questioned.

"Gremlins!" the three shouted and the two gremlins grinned at them, jumping from the TV and running through the house, tipping things over and making a mess wherever they could.

"Gremlins?" Charlie questioned, raising a brow at the angels. The three nodded.

"They're very troublesome. They play pranks and the only way to stop them is to seal them back into what was once holding them," Balthazar stated. Everyone looked back to the box.

"How are we going to get them in there?" Kevin asked. Everyone grew silent and the pause on the TV slipped. The movie started playing again and Cas watched as the boy on the show started to make all kinds of traps. The angel smiled and started pulling on Charlie's sleeve, pointing wildly at the screen. Charlie followed his gaze and the angel grinned up at her.

"We sets traps," the angel suggested. Charlie and Kevin both grinned.

"Boys, lets show these Gremlins who's boss."

Thanks to Gabe and his grace the entire apartment was soon anti gremlin proof. There were marbles thrown on the floor by the doors and windows, glue was poured all over the kitchen floor and wherever else there wasn't carpet. In other words, there was no way anybody could get away without getting stuck somewhere. Gabe had even rigged a carton of rotting milk to fall on whoever opens the front door. Charlie and Kevin had to stay in certain room unless they wanted to get stuck in their own traps, but the angels were able to fly freely through the air.

"Can't catch us!" the angels shouted at the gremlins currently throwing everything out of the cabinets and fridge in the kitchen. The Gremlins stopped what they were doing and jumped up at the angels. The three squealed, flying higher into the air in attempt to keep their distance from the fat little terrors.

"Let's go!" Gabe shouted, flapping towards the living room where Charlie and Kevin were hiding. Balthazar and Cas followed him quickly and the gremlins rushed after them. As soon as the gremlins stepped foot in the living room one of the traps Gabe set up was waiting for them. The snapped a string in the doorway, causing Dean's bowling ball to come falling down from the shelf it was sitting on and slam into the two gremlins. They shrieked, trying to pick themselves up, but they had fallen into a ring of marbles. Kevin and Charlie lunged from their hiding spot behind the couch, holding the box in their hands. The gremlins screeched, but it was no use. Kevin and Charlie scooped them up into the box. The gremlins tried to get out, but glue covered the inside, making them stick to the box.

"Say the spell!" Kevin shouted and the angels started chanting. A dark smoke covered the box and it sealed shut, locking the gremlins inside. The five slumped down against each other in the living room, relieved that the gremlins were finally locked up. They were just about to go pick up a bit when they heard Dean calling to them from behind the door. Everyone paled, shooting up from their spot and running into the other room just in time to see the chain reaction begin. Dean, Sam, and Bobby opened the door, causing the rotting milk to fall on their head. The three then slipped on the marbles by the door and face planted in the glue covering the floor up to and angel's ankle.

"Umm…I suggest we run," Kevin hummed nervously tiptoeing slowly away from the three burning red hunters. Charlie picked the three angels up and the five ran for their lives.

I just finished posting the last chapter to my 'Mark and Brothers' so that means I will be posting a new supernatural fic today! For those of you interested it's called 'The Road to El Gracia'. If you've ever seen Disney's Road to El Dorado my fic is an AU of that.

As for this fic…a little bit of plot will be popping up soon. I won't say when, but you'll know it when you see it ;)
