Sudsy Impalas
It was a sunny day by the lake. The sun was shining and the bees were buzzing. Balthazar and Bobby were working on the garden, knee deep in dirt and blue berry plants. By Balthazar's feet sat a wicker basket filled to the brim with blueberries that were ready for the picking. However there should have been a few more. That was to blame on Balthazar. The angel's face was currently stained by the berries he had tasted instead of putting in the basket. How his stomach wasn't punishing him yet was a mystery. Kevin and Sam were hanging laundry up on the line, jabbering back and forth about books that they had read and the poor adaptions of the movies. Charlie was tanning herself out on the little boat that came with the lake. She was dressed in a bikini that was designed to look like a Star Trek uniform. Then there were the other three. Dean stood by his baby, soaping her up and spraying her with a hose. He was shirtless, letting the sun tan his already sun kissed skin. Gabe sat on the hood, looking through the windshield at his little brother. Cas was in the front seat, dressed in nothing but blue shorts and the trench coat thrown over his shoulders. His tiny fists clutched the steering wheel, car noises leaving his lips as he spun the wheal in every direction.
"Voom! Voom!" Dean turned his gaze to the two angels on his Baby, chuckling softly as they played. Cas and Gabe had volunteered to help clean the Impala, but the two clearly had gotten themselves distracted along the way. Still, they had promised to help and Dean was going to hold them to their promise.
"Hey, Boys, can you come here?" Dean called out to the angels. Gabe and Cas looked up at the hunter, smiles wide.
"Just as second. I'm abouts to win the race!" Cas shouted, spinning the wheel again and turning his body to the side like the force of the vehicle's speed was pushing on him. Dean laughed again, grabbing a sponge from the bucket by his feet and making sure it was soaked with suds. A second or two later Cas flew out of the window of the Impala and Gabe joined his brother sitting on the very top of the Impala. Dean tossed a sponge at the angels, smacking them both in the face and causing bubbles to explode around them. The angels giggled, popping the bubbles that floated around them as Dean tossed another sponge at them.
"You two scrub the roof, okay?" Dean said while filling the bucket up with some clean water and soap. As he moved on to clean the rims. The angels nodded, mock saluting him before scrubbing gently at the black surface of the Impala like Dean had shown them beforehand. "Maybe when we finish I'll let you guys drive her back into the garage," Dean teased, knowing full well the angels would make sure he kept his promise.
"Ah! Gabby!" Cas cried after a loud splattering noise. Dean glanced back up to see Cas with a soaked with water from the sponge now sat upon his head. Gabe cackled from his spot on the Impala, almost falling off the car with the amount of force his laughter was pushing. Cas glared at his big brother, grabbing the sponge from his head and throwing it at the archangel. Gabe was too quick for the angel though. Gabe flew up into the air before the sponge could hit and watched as the sponge flew into Dean's face. Dean stumbled, sputtering and spitting out soap from his mouth as he glared at the two angels. Without a second thought he grabbed the bucket of water by his side and dumped it over the two angels before they had the chance to fly away. The two squealed as the water covered them, soaking their wings and keeping them from flying away. Dean then grabbed the hose and started to spray the two, laughing heartily.
"You three are looking pretty clean, but I thought the impala was the one that was supposed to get washed today?" Sam mused as he and Kevin walked past with an empty clothes basket. Gabe and Cas both started giggling and Dean smiled up at his brother. Sam and Kevin both laughed.
"Sam and I wanted to check out that knew diner in town today. You three want to come?" Kevin asked. Dean glanced at the angels and then back to his brother and prophet.
"Yeah, sure, just let us give us a second to get cleaned up," Dean said, turning his back on his brother and sliding into the driver's seat. He was pretty wet, but he silently promised Baby that he'd give her a good waxing and clean her seats up real good when they got back.
"Dwean?" Dean ignored the angel now peeking through the window, smiling smugly to himself. Cas let out an exasperated sigh while rolling his eyes and tried again. "Dean?" The hunter's smile widened and he looked to the little angels peeking through the window. "You said you'd let us drive."
"I did, didn't I?" Dean sighed, rolling his window down a little more so the angels could fly through. Gabe flapped to the top of Dean's seat, resting his hands on the top of Dean's head and playing with the hunter's hair while Cas took a seat in Dean's lap. The smaller angel reached for the steering wheel and Dean dropped one hand to wrap around the angel like a safety belt. He still kept one hand on the wheel just in case. "Okay, Cas, she's all yours," Dean hummed, pressing his foot against the gas a little and the car started moving. Excitement glistened in Cas' eyes instantly and the angel spun the wheel.
"Voom! Voom!" Cas cheered as he spung the wheel. Dean laughed at the angel.
"Cas, the car is making it's own noises now. You don't have to make them anymore," he told the angel. Cas shook his head, fingers drumming slightly on the wheel like Dean always did. The Winchester silently wondered if the baby angel had picked that up from him.
"It's more fun when you make them," Cas said with a smile, going back to making various car noises. Dean sighed, glancing upwards at the angel on his head.
"What do you think? Does it make driving more fun?" Gabriel nodded, grin spitting his face in half as he too started to make car sounds. Dean rolled his eyes and looked back to the road ahead of them, leading around their loopy driveway.
"What the hell," Dean sighed, giving in and joining in with the angels, not even caring how Kevin and Sam burst into laughter from the doorway.
Gahh! It's so cute! I should really force my artistic sister to start drawing stuff like this. Lol. Well, first I'd have to get her to draw something other than Warrior Cats, but I like a challenge! Thank You Princess Aziza for the request of Cas driving!
Also, if you are going to Comic Con have fun and be safe! Sadly I won't be going this year. My family is taking a road trip to Orlando instead to check out Diagon Alley. Should give me some more muse, right? Maybe a Harry Potter themed chapter? ;)
