All Hounds go to Heaven

The angels were all sitting around in the living room, playing Old Maid with Dean. The older hunter was going to teach them poker, but the mother hen of the house said it would be showing them a bad example. Stupid Sammy, ruining all the fun. Dean took a card from Gabriel, relieved that he hadn't picked the maid. Cas sat up in his chair and looked at the cards Balthazar was waiting for him to choose from.

"The one on the far right is the maid, Sweetie." Dean shot up, gun in hand when he heard the unfamiliar voice. Dean's eyes fell on a woman with blue-grey hair. Her eyes refused to stay the same color. At one glance they were bright glowing embers, then green, then blue, and then even star-like grey. She wore a knee length dress the color of blue and orange flames. In all, she was stunning, but that didn't mean she got a free pass from getting her head blown off. The woman frowned at the gun held at her, but didn't seem too afraid. "That won't work on me, Love. I am their sister after all," the angel stated. Dean lowered the gun, staring at her in surprise.

"You three didn't tell me you had a sister," Dean flirted. The angels shrugged, going back to their game.

"We have a lot of them," Gabe said simply, watching as Cas took a card from Balthazar (not the one to the right). Their sister took a seat between Gabriel and Balthazar, looking over their shoulders at the cards they held. Dean watched for a moment before finally asking for the new angel's name.

"I am Amber," she stated with little emotion like most angels. "But I suppose humans such as yourself recognize me as Ambriel." Dean thought for a moment. He didn't remember bumping into that name when looking up angels after his first meeting with Cas. Noticing Dean's troubles, Balthazar leaned over to Dean, whispering that Ambriel was considered an angel of protection and communications. The hunter looked up at Amber again and she gave him a small smile. "I apologize for startling you earlier, but I had just returned from meeting with our brother Ecanus and thought I should visit on my way back to my perch." Ecanus. Damn, Dean really need to brush up on his angel history. "It has been ages since I saw my dear brothers," Amber added, ruffling Castiel's dark hair with a gently hand. Cas smiled up at her and she smiled back. Dean sat back in his chair. If she was pretending to be good she was doing a good job of it.

"Dean, I'm bored!" Balthy shouted, tossing his cards on the table. Cas frowned glaring at the cards.

"I coulds of won!" the angel shouted. Balthazar ignored his brother and let out a long whistle. A bark echoed from the other room and everyone turned as Custos bounded into the room with his tug of war rope in his mouth. Normally, Balthazar would grab the other end, but something else was already holding it. With widened eyes Dean shot up from his chair, gun in hand and pointed at the creature.

"Custos, what are you doing with Crowley's mutt?!" Dean yelped. Custos dropped his toy and Juliet followed his example, nuzzling against the puppy's face and panting happily. She was like any other hellhound. Long teeth poked out of her mouth and piercing red flames burned in her eye sockets. Scars traced her body from fights and claws like iron stretched out from her paws. Dean's stomach did flip flops as he remembered being torn apart by teeth and claws similar to those. He hated hellhounds. Custos was the only exception of course. The puppy was only half hellhound and devoted everything he had to protect the family that had taken him in. This hound though Dean had no trust in. This creature was born in hell and raised like any other demon. It wasn't something to be trusted. So why was Custos playing with her? Juliet sniffed the air slightly, burning eyes turning towards Dean and the angels. The hound got up from her spot at Custos' side and started to trot forward. Panic exploded throughout Dean's veins and he shot without even a second thought. The bullet whizzed towards the hound's head, but it never hit its mark.

"Really, Dean, you must be more courteous to your guests," Amber tutted, tossing the bullet she caught mid fire back into Dean's hands. Dean pushed down the rage building up in his stomach and lowered his gun, glancing at the angels to make sure they were still safely behind me before looking back at their sister.

"Amber, you realize that's a hellhound, right?" Dean hissed, trying to keep his voice calm, but failing. Amber kneeled down next to Juliet and Custos, scratching behind their ears gently.

"I'm an angel, Winchester. I'm no idiot," Amber responded.

"Amber, it's a killer! A –"

"I am an angel of protection, Dean. I know when and who to protect." She smiled suddenly and nuzzled her nose against Juliet's, earning a lick to the face. "The only one here in need of protection is Juliet from you." Dean gritted his teeth, glaring daggers at the angel, but Amber glared right back. With a sigh, the Winchester grew up. He knew well enough that angels were stubborn dicks. There was no way he was going to be able to change Amber's mind.

"So…what is sweet little Juliet paying us a visit for?" he questioned, voice lacking in any interest what so ever. Amber turned back to the two hellhounds and the two dropped their toy, panting happily.

"I believe she came for a play date," Amber chuckled, lifting the toy and tossing it across the room. The hellhounds howled racing off and grabbing the toy, tipping a coffee table over as they did so. Dean sighed with annoyance and pushed the table back onto its legs.

"Well if she's going to stay here she's going to have to follow our rules." Juliet and Custos bounded back over, wagging their tails. Amber wrapped her arm over Dean's shoulder and smiled.

"Well, what are you going to teach them today, Mr. Winchester?" Amber chuckled. Dean rose a brow at her in confusion and all three baby angels suddenly burst into fits of laughter. The hunter's frown creased further and he glanced down at himself, eyes going huge. He was dressed in a white dress shirt and tie. Black rimmed glasses rested on Dean's nose and his hair was slicked back.

"What the hell?!" Amber chuckled behind her hand.

"If you're going to play the teacher then you've got to look the part," the angel stated, still laughing. Dean crossed his arms.

"And who will you all be playing?" he questioned. Amber's eyes twinkled and her outfit shifted until it practically melted into blue skirt with a white blouse.

"I shall be playing the role as Principle Ambriel and my brothers…" she turned her gaze towards Gabriel, Balthazar, and Castiel. "Will be your students as well." Dean watched as the baby angels' clothes shifted and became little puppy dog onesies. The hunter tried to stop the smile from creeping over his lips, but he couldn't. Those had to be the cutest onesies he's ever seen.

"Well, I guess it's time for class," Dean said with a wide grin as he ushered the hellhounds outside.

Ambriel sat on a swing in the backyard, laughing her grace out as she watched Dean attempt to teach the hellhounds and the puppy-angels dog obedience. The angels were on their hands and knees, barking and rolling around on the ground with Custos (completely ignoring Dean) while Dean tried to keep Juliet's attention. The hellhound didn't seem very up to it however.

"God damn it, Juliet!" Dean screamed as the hound accidentally knocked him onto his backside into a puddle. The hellhound howled, plopping down on top of the hunter and knocking the wind right out of him. Dean choked, pushing at the giant dog, but she refused to move. Instead she just let her big slobbery tongue slop over his face. "Amber, stop laughing and get her off of me!" Dean shouted. Amber's face only grew a darker shade of red and she fell off the swing, laughing until she could barely breathe.

"Juliet, there you are!" a voice called from a few feet away. Dean looked over the mound of fur toppled over him at the king of hell, slowly strolling up to them. "What are you doing with this hooligan?"

"She came for a playdate," Amber finally choked out as she slowly regained composer over herself. "Dean wanted to teach her some basic obedience first." Crowley snorted, trying to hold down his own laugh.

"She's a hellhound. Not a bloody poodle," Crowley stated. "Come along, Juliet. Get off the nasty hunter." Juliet let out a sad whine, but did as her master ordered. She gave Dean a quick lick to the face once off of him and then bounded back to Custos and the baby angels. Dean huffed, pushing himself back to his feet. He sent a glare at Juliet, but the hellhound only barked loudly before nuzzling the angels. Something sparked in Dean's eyes then and he took a step forward, but Amber quickly jumped to his side. He glanced at her, watching as she gently squeezed his shoulder. Crowley looked between the two of them and then to Juliet playing with the babies. "No worries, Winchester. Juliet is a big softy when it comes to cute and fluffy. That's probably why she followed your mutt in the first place."

"See?" Amber said, nudging Dean in the shoulder. "I told you she was fine." Crowley looked Amber over, frowning.

"And which sister is this?" he questioned.

"Ambriel," she introduced, eyes flicking over Crowley warily. Crowley smirked at her, shoving his hand in his pockets as he met her gaze.

"The angel of protection and communications. I'm surprised you haven't smite me yet." Amber shrugged.

"I feel no threat from you…yet," her eyes suddenly darkened and Crowley's smirk fell. Dean glanced between the two, suddenly feeling the air get thick. He didn't understand what was happening, but he wanted it to end.

"WHOHOO!" loud voices called from the distance. Amber and Crowley snapped from whatever was going on between them and they turned towards the noise. Grins twinkled over Dean and Amber's faces instantly. Gabriel sat on Juliet's back while Cas and Balthazar sat on Custos' back. They were racing, riding the hounds like race horses. The three watched as the angels and their hellhounds circled the house and the lake. Custos made sure to go around the picnic tables, grills, or anything that could tip. Juliet on the other hand, pushed everything out of the way. Dean let out a moan, slapping a hand over his face and pinching his nose. Amber swung her arm around Dean, laughing loudly, completely forgetting about Crowley.

"Oh, Deany-beany, teaching isn't that easy is it?" she teased. Dean swatted at her, but mirrored her teasing grin.

"Whatever, Principle Ambriel. Let's go get our students, shall we?" He held out a hand and Ambriel took it, rushing with him after the angels. Crowley rolled his eyes and cupped a hand over his mouth to shout at them.

"I'll pick up Juliet in an hour! Sacrifice a goat if you need anything!" Dean and Amber waved at him dismissively and Crowley disappeared, leaving his hellhound with the care of the Winchester family and their new sister.

Thank you Pheonix (guest) for the older sister request! Thanks Princess Aziza for the hellhound request! Glad to hear you all enjoyed Lucifer last chapter. I promise he will be popping up a few more times in future chapters. Anyway…I hope you all enjoyed Amber. She might pop up again too, but I'm not making any promises.
