Candy Rush

Halloween was the angels' favorite holiday of the year. They could let out their wings on that day and no one would know the difference. Humans always thought they were costumes. Though Halloween was a while away yet, that didn't mean a thing. One of their new neighbors living just down the street was having a costume party and the Winchester family had been invited. At first Dean and Sam were skeptical on going to a stranger's house, but after seeing how the angels' eyes lit up at the idea they couldn't say no. That was why Dean and Cas were in Dean's bedroom, getting dressed for the party.

"Dwean, the mask is itchy!" Cas wined as he swatted the black mask from his eyes. Dean rolled his eyes, lifting his mask up over his head to glare at the little angel.

"Cas, you're Robin. You have to where the mask." Cas flopped down on the bed wings sprawling out around him as he pouted.

"Batman's Robin doesn't have wings," he commented. Dean smiled then, ruffling the angel's feathers with his hand.

"No, but my Robin does," Dean said, pushing the mask back onto Cas' face. Cas grumbled again, but didn't push off the mask. Dean made a satisfied hum and then started to put on the belt for his costume. Just then there was a knock at the door. Dean and Cas both shouted a 'come in' and the door swung open to reveal Balthazar and Gabriel. Well, actually it was a clown and Willy Wonka. A big red curly wig sat atop Balthy's head and he wore polka-dot pants and shirts. Big red shoes with yellow balls at the ends were tightly tied to his little feet and his wings were even died the colors of the rainbow (that had to be Charlie's work). Gabriel was dressed in a purple velvet coat with a ridiculous bow tie. On his head was a light brow Top hat with lollypops and suckers sticking out from it. Dean smiled widely at the two. And motioned for the door. "You two ready to go downstairs and see if Sam, Charlie, and Kev are ready?" he asked. The angels nodded and disappeared through the door while Dean grabbed Cas and carried the angel out of the room and down the stairs with the others.

"What do you think the others dressed up as?" Cas questioned.

"Well, when Charlie was helping me with my wings she was dressed like that lady from Terminator," Balthazar stated. Dean rose his brows.

"Sarah Connor?" he asked. Balthazar shrugged and entered the living room. The others followed instantly bumping into a redheaded Sarah Connor and an Asian John Connor. "Nice costumes guys," Dean complimented. The two smiled widely.

"Thanks. You guys look pretty awesome too," Kevin complimented also. "Where's Sam."

"Right here," Bobby chuckled as Custos tugged the younger Winchester into the room. Everyone instantly burst into fits of laughter at the sight of the moose antlers decorating Sam's head.

"Sam you were supposed to dress as something you're not!" Gabe cackled.

"Oh shut up, Gabe –" the hunter stopped as his eyes fell on Balthazar, eyes growing huge. "What the hell, Balthazar!" he yelped. "Why…why are you dressed as a…a…"

"Clown?" Balthy asked. "Oh, just wanted to scare our little moosey." Gabe frowned, raising a brow at his younger brother.

"Little?" he questioned. Balthazar shrugged and Dean took the moment of silence to step in.

"So we all ready to get going?" The room filled with cheers and Dean took that as a definite yes. Dean scooped up Cas, leaving Kevin and Charlie to take Gabe and Balthy since Sam was still too petrified of Balthazar's costume. "You sure you don't want to come?" Dean asked Bobby before heading out. The old hunter shook his head and scratched behind Custos' ears.

"Nah. I'm a bit old for all that partying anyway," Bobby told the hunter. "Custos and I will just have to settle for some good old fashion horror films. Right, boy?" Custos barked in agreement, wagging his tale. Dean then turned his back, Cas against his shoulder waving goodbye to the elder hunter and hellhound.

Sam knocked on the door to their neighbor's house, hoping that someone would hear over the obnoxiously loud music blaring in the background. Luckily, some did and a man dressed as a zombie smiled at them as he opened the door for the group.

"Oh, you must be the Winchester family, right?" he questioned. "I'm Simon. Welcome to the neighborhood!" The group thanked him and Simon led them farther into the house to a young lady with long brown hair and a flowered dress and another boy with blond hair and large brown eyes. Both were also dressed as zombies. "These are my best friends Amy and Kieren," Simon introduced.

"Nice to meet you!" Amy shouted wildly, grinning at the angels that snuggled closer to their hunters out of shyness. Kieren smiled at them reassuringly.

"Awe, Amy, don't go scaring our guests," he teased her. Amy stuck her tongue out at him and then grabbed Simon by the arm, tugging him towards the dance floor.

"Come one, Simon! Didn't you promise your BDFF a dance?" she chuckled, yanking on Simon until he was swallowed up by the crowd.

"BDFF?" Kevin questioned, raising a brow as Kieren laughed.

"Best dead friend forever," Kieren clarified, waving a hand over his zombie costume. "Get it?" The group nodded and Kieren gave them all a wide smile. "Please make yourselves at homes. There are games in the backyard for the kids and candy hidden all over the house so help yourselves," Kieren stated before leaving them to hunt down his two friends.

"They're a strange group," Dean noted walking towards the door leading to the backyard.

"Not as strange as ours," Charlie pointed out. They left the house, walking into the yard to see that it had been decorated to look like a giant cemetery. A bar was set up close to the house with a man dressed as a skeleton running it. Some of the fake grave stones were actually bean bag toss games and there were tables with bowls filled with raw noodles and stuff supposed to feel like blood and guts. The thing that caught the angels' eyes however were the never ending candies hiding all over the yard. Other children were already on the hunt, bags in their hands as they searched. Dean pulled three plastic bags from his pockets and handed them to the angels.

"Go crazy," he told them and the three shot out of sight, running for the pieces of sugary goodness. Sam let out a grown as he watched.

"We need to hide those bags when we get home or those three are going to be sick," he muttered. Dean clapped his brother on the back and steared him towards the bar.

"Oh, don't worry about it, Sammy. Kevin and Charlie will make sure they don't eat too much. Right, guys?" Dean asked, looking over his shoulder at the two. Kevin and Charlie both gave him the finger and walked farther into the yard.

"Why us?" Kevin moaned before spotting Gabriel and Cas staring up at a tree. There were two ziplock bags with tiny candy apple slices in them. In the tree with them was Also Balthazar. "Balt what are you doing?" Kevin questioned, glancing behind himself to make sure the mama bears didn't see. Balthazar grabbed the bags and tossed them to his brothers on the ground.

"Getting candy," he said simply, stretching out his wings to fly.

"Balthy, stop!" Charlie warned in a hushed voice. "You can go flying around. People think your wings are fake. If they saw you using them we'd have a problem." Balthazar suddenly grew very pale and he glanced downward.

"Then how do I get down?" he asked, hugging at the three. Charlie held out her hands and Balthazar took the hint. The angel jumped from the branch he had been sitting on, using his wings to slow him down a little until he was nestled safely in Charlie's arms. "Thank you," he said before jumping out of her arms and running with his brothers after some more candy. "I think they can handle themselves just find now," Charlie sighed, looking back at the house where music was still blaring loudly. "Wanna dance, Kev?"

"What about –"

"They'll be fine," Charlie reassured, tugging Kevin with her to the house.

Oh was she ever wrong. Only a few minutes after leaving the angels alone the three had found the mother lode of candy stashes. Hiding by the bird house were pixie sticks. "Gabe grabbed ten of them right away in his fist and pulled the tops off, pouring the sugar into his mouth and humming happily. His eyes twinkled brighter and even his grace was buzzing from the rush. Balthazar and Castiel did the same as their brother, and they too started to feel their sugar rush.

"Let's find some more!" Gabe shouted, running towards the house with his brothers, lights flickering as he passed them. On entering the room the music suddenly got louder and candy started to appear out of nowhere.

"Gabby, what's happening?" Cas asked, shoving a tootsie roll into his mouth that had just appeared by Gabe's feet.

"I…think it's my grace reacting to the sugar," Gabe chuckled, snapping his fingers and watching as skittles fell out of a lamp of all things. The angels glanced around themselves to see if anybody else had noticed, but they were all plastered with alcohol. The three grinned and Gabe raised his hands. "Let's party!" he shouted, watching as M&Ms suddenly started raining from the sky.

Dean and Sam finished off their second beer, enjoying the peace of not worrying over the angels. They barely get any time alone with each other lately since the angels are always glued to their hips, but now they could just relax.

"Hey, Boys!" a voice shouted behind. The two turned their head and smiled as Amy walked over to them, looking absolutely plastered. "How you liking the party!" she shouted like she was trying to shout over too loud music.

"It's great," Sam said, setting down his empty beer and letting Dean wave at the bartender to bring them another. "Are you alright?" Amy nodded, giggling loudly.

"Don't worry, newbie, just had too many goat brains," she joked.

"Right…" Dean drawled out. "Where'd Simon go? I though he owed you a dance?" Amy let out a snort and thrust her thumb back towards the house.

"Kieren stole him from me," she sighed, stealing Dean's beer and taking in a long pull. When she finished she handed the half empty bottle back, but Dean only pushed it away, wrinkling his nose at it. She pulled out a handful of M&Ms from her pocket and smiled. "I'll have to ask them after the party how they managed for candy to fall from the ceiling," she hummed, tossing another candy into her mouth and catching it. Both Dean and Sam frowned at her. Candy? Falling from the ceiling? The brothers both turned their heads, searching for Charlie, Kevin, and the angels but none were anywhere to be seen.

"We better go grab the kids," Sam said suddenly. "It's way past their bedtime." Amy pouted slightly, but she didn't argue.

"Oh, well. Thanks for coming boys and don't be strangers," she said, giving them both a tight hug and kiss on the cheek before freeing them. They both waved goodbye and dashed into the house, mouths falling open as M&Ms, Skittles, and other candies fell from the ceiling. Everyone in the room was too drunk to notice at least. Dean and Sam quickly spotted Charlie and Kevin. They were dancing/flirting with a group of very pretty blond girls. Dean and Sam grabbed the two, shaking them out of their drunk stupor.

"Where are the angels?" Dean questioned. Charlie and Kevin slowly snapped out of it and glanced around themselves, pointing at the arm chair in the corner. Dean and Sam turned eyes widening at the sight. Gabriel was practically glowing. His grace lashing out and making candies appear out of nowhere while his brothers ran circles around the chair in their hyperactive state. "What the hell?!"

"So that's what happens to an angel on a sugar rush," Sam hummed, rushing over to the angels with Dean at his side. Dean grabbed Cas and Balthazar while Sam took Gabriel while dragging Kevin and Charlie along with them towards the door.

"Bye, Everyone!" Charlie and Kevin shouted drunkenly to the crowd. Everyone shouted back and Dean and Sam quickly shut the door behind themselves and got into the car.

"You three are grounded from candy for life," Sam grumbled, picking toffees out of the angels wings as he and Dean sat in the bathroom by the bathtub. The angels were slumped in the tub, their sugar highs finally dying down. Thank their dad for that! Dean poured a handful of soap into his hand and started to work the soap into the angels' hair, hoping that it would help get some of the gum out so he and Sam wouldn't have to play with scissors later. There was a knock on the door and the door opened to reveal a grinning Bobby.

"Well, Charlie and Kevin are out for the count. Custos is keeping an eye on them. How are these idjits doing?" Dean and Sam looked at the little angels watching as the three leaned on each other tiredly.

"About the same," Dean sighed. "Honestly, who knew angels could lose control over their grace over a sugar rush!" Bobby shrugged.

"They are kids after all. Well, sort of," Bobby sighed, grabbing a towel from the counter. Dean dunked Cas' head under water first clearing the soap off of the angel before picking him out of the bath and handing him to Bobby. The older hunter dried off the worn out angel, grabbing the footy pajamas set out for them and helping the wee angel into them while Dean dunked Balthazar under water and did the same.

"You almost finished there, Sammy?" Dean asked, looking at Sam as the hunter still attempted to pull bits of candy from Gabe's wings.

"We'll be just a minute," Sammy sighed. "Make sure those two brush before they go to bed." Dean gave his brother a mock solute and exited the room with Bobby and the boys, leaving Gabe alone with Sam.

"You were kidding about the Candy, right?" Gabe asked, looking up at Sam with wide eyes. Sam shook his head.

"Nope," he said, pulling another caramel from Gabe's left wing. "You and your brothers are on a strict veggie only diet now." Gabe glared at Sam as the hunter gave him a teasing smirk.

"We'll see about that, Samesaurus," Gabe grumbled before Sam dunked the angel under the warm bath water.

Thank you Lunarwing-Hawktalon and The Mysterious Shadow for the Halloween requests! Kudos to whoever recognized the Winchesters' neighbors. (hint: they're from a BBC show)
