Supernatural Brothers

Dean covered his ears as Carry on My Wayward Son played. He loved the song, but with it sounding more like the Super Mario Brother's theme than the great song Dean grew up with and playing on a constant loop…well, things got old real fast. Gabriel had said Balthazar needed to practice using his grace now that the angel had finally hit the crazy step in his life where his grace decides to get all funky. Dean cringed, remembering the last couple days. At least Gabe and Lucifer were around to help Balthazar through it. What better way to practice your powers than throwing everyone into a video game system that hasn't been used in years.

"Nice job, Balthy," Gabe congratulated as he looked around the computer generated world of hungry plants and Yoshi. Balthazar smiled tiredly at his brother, drained completely from the amount of grace he had given up. Gabe turned to the rest of the group, eyes twinkling. "Okay, so this is how today's game works; in order to get out of the game you must make it to level 3 and rescue prince Castiel," Gabe stated cunningly, looking at the little angel hiding behind Dean's leg.

"Gabby, what –" Cas glanced down at himself, eyes widening. His trench coat was died a bright pink with large jewels and lacy. A gold crown was on his head, almost hidden by his crazy dark hair. Gabe boldly smirked at his brother and snapped his fingers, Cas instantly vanishing into thin air.

"See you at the finish line, Guys!" Gabe shouted, picking up a very tired Balthazar and disappearing just like Castiel had. The Winchesters groaned and looked to Bobby, Charlie, and Kevin.

"Well, let's do this," Dean sighed, leading the way down a gravel path.

"Hey, Charlie, look!" Kevin shouted, pointing above their heads. A brick square hovered in the air, a white question mark painted on it. Charlie grinned at it widely.

"Someone hit it," she ordered. Dean forced jumped upward at the brick, head smacking it hard. He grimaced and listened as a loud ping echoed around them before looking to see what had jumped out of the square brick.

"PIE!" he yelped, grabbing the slice before it could hit the ground. He took a bite of it and his life points instantly went up. "Sweet," he grinned, passing it around to everyone so they could refill their own life bars. When the pie was completely gone they started walking again.

"What's up with the ugly turtle?" Dean called over his shoulder as the new creature wiggled into view. The hunter walked closer to the thing, holding his hand out to it.

"Dude, don't touch it!" Charlie gasped, smacking Dean's hand and pulling him away from the turtle. "It's a Koopa…" she trialed off, deciding the Winchester probably didn't know what that was. "…never mind. It'll kill you…er…well, in the game. You have to jump over it or…." She trailed off, smiling as a different creature came into view. "Or we ride those!" Charlie shouted, pointing to five Yoshi that just so happened to appear. Maybe Gabe and Balthy were getting bored of them just standing around? She rushed over the group of Yoshi and jumped onto one, waving at the others to follow her example. When everyone was on a Yoshi Charlie led them towards the little turtle that Dean was still confused about. Yes, he played Mario on the Nintendo all the time, but that didn't mean he was any good at it. Charlie and her Yoshi ran towards the little turtle until her Yoshi swallowed it up. Charlie smiled over shoulder. "Follow me, Bitches!" The group followed, Dean grumbling all the way.

After almost getting eaten by plants and other weird things, the group had finally made it to the end of level two and were on their way to three. They were in a castle and all they had to do was make it past some ugly monsters guarding their way to the angels. Taking in a deep breath, the group made their move. The guards rushed towards them, but they stood their ground, jumping over them and stepping onto the creatures' heads. On killing every last one they rushed through the door to see Castiel sitting next to Gabriel and Balthazar. The little angel looked a little grumpy for being forced to be Princess Peach, but he cheered up on seeing the group burst in.

"About time," Gabe sighed, and looked to Balthazar. The middle angel sat up, face beaded with sweat. He gave the group a small smile and then snapped his fingers, causing everyone to hold their breath in anticipation. A new creature entered the room, but his time it was huge and something Dean did recognize from the game.

"Oh great if it isn't the Godzilla of Nintendo turtles," Dean growled, getting ready for the thing to attack. With roar it attacked and everyone dived out of the way. Gabriel smirked as he watched the show and summoned some popcorn and soda for his little brothers. Cas grabbed a fistful of popcorn and tossed it into his mouth, grinning like kitten with a ball of string. Cas grabbed another handful, but instead of eating it himself he turned to Balthazar with it. Balthy smiled at his little brother when Cas turned to him. Cas didn't mirror the smile. Balthazar looked like hell. Beads of sweat were falling down his abnormally pale face and there were dark circles under his eyes.

"Balthy?" Cas dropped the popcorn, earning a look from Gabriel, who's eyes instantly widened at the sight of his brother.

"Balthazar?!" Gabe called, folding out his wings and catching Balthazar before he could hit the ground. The world around them instantly zapped away and soon they were all back in the living room. The Winchesters and the others looked around in confusion until they finally found the three angels sitting on the couch.

"What happened?" Dean gasped, rushing over to the couch and picking Balthazar up into his arms. Balthazar opened his eyes a little, but he was still a little out of it.

"Sorry…" Balthy, moaned, forcing himself to sit up in Dean's hold. "Just a little tired." Dean brushed the hair out of Balthy's eyes and took a seat between Gabe and Cas on couch.

"B…Balthy, I'm sorry," Gabe stuttered. "I should have noticed how much it was draining you." Balthazar smiled at his brother.

"It's okay, Gabby. I'm just sad I ruined all our fun," the middle angel said regretfully. Sam turned away from the scene, a smile on his lips. He pushed the Wii out of the way and pushed the old Nintendo into its place, plugging it into the television. The Mario Brother's theme blared through the speakers and everyone looked up at him at the sound. Sam grinned.

"Shall we finish our game?" Sammy asked, handing Balthazar a controller. The angel beamed at him through tired eyes and Sam handed out the rest of the controllers. Well, except to Dean.

"Hey, where's mine?" Dean asked, watching as everyone else picked their characters for multiplayer. Sam and the others rose a brow at the Winchester.

"Pop Quiz…" Kevin began. "What's a Koopa Troopa?" Dean chewed at his lip, searching the back of his mind for anything that could give him an answer. He felt someone poke him in the ribs and Dean glanced down to see that the angels were the ones poking him. He rose a brow at them and watched as they pointed to the television where Charlie was currently battling a turtle. His eyes widened and he smiled cunningly.

"The turtles," Dean said proudly, winking at the angels who only shook their heads and looked back to the television. Sam and Kevin shared a look before handing Dean a controller. Dean grinned at them and quickly picked his character. Bobby let out a chuckle, exiting the room to grab them some beers, muttering idjits before he left.

Several hours and rematches later Dean had yet to come in second to last place and everyone else had yet to come close to the angels' high scores.
