The Wizarding World of Fluffy Angels
Dean took a right down the busy streets of Orlando, Florida. Sam snored softly in the passenger seat as they drove through the traffic and the soft sound of the Harry Potter theme played in the back. Dean glanced in his mirror to see the angels huddled around Sam's computer. He smiled before turning back to the road, eyes falling on the Best Western Hotel. How Charlie managed to get them a room in that fancy hotel Dean would never know, but he was grateful for it. He pulled into the parking lot, Bobby and the others following him in the truck behind.
"We're here!" Dean shouted, startling Sammy out of his dreams and the angels out of the trance of their movie. Sam stretched, joints popping as he did so and he popped open his door. Dean did the same and then opened the back so the angels could crawl out. The angels stretched their arms and legs, but they still looked pretty stiff. Why? Well, you try keeping your wings folded up from Minnesota to Florida. They looked around, breathing in the humid Orlando air. Damn, it was hot. Dean wiped his brow free of sweat. His eyes looked to Bobby's truck, watching as Charlie and Kevin helped Bobby pull the suitcases from the back. Sam grabbed his laptop from the Impala and a handful of the angels' bags. Since everybody else was busy getting their bags Dean decided he and the angels would get the key to their room. Scooping all three of them up into his arms, Dean headed for the big classy glass doors. When he stepped inside he wandered if Charlie had to rob a bank to pay for this. The desk workers were all dressed in neat shirts and ties. The place smelled homey and the furniture around the room looked like it cost a fortune. Still, even though it was on the fancy side all the tourists wondering the lobby were dressed in floral clothing, short shorts, or normal T-shirts. A man from the desk cleared his throat and Dean looked over at the man and smiled.
"Uh…Winchester," Dean stated, pulling out a few things Charlie had told him to give to the lobby workers. The lobby man took the papers and scanned over them, typing various things into the computer.
"You're all set, Mr. Winchester," the man said with a smile. He pulled out a key card and handed it to Gabriel. "Room 501," he said with a grin. Dean made to walk away then, but the lobby man stopped him, holding out his hand and nodding at the sucker in Gabriel's mouth. "No sticky treats in the lobby," he stated. The angels and hunter rose a brow at the man, but he was dead serious. Gabriel spat the sucker into the lobby man's hand and the man tossed it into the trash. "Enjoy your stay!" he told them, smile returning to his face. Dean stepped out of the line then and headed to the elevator. Gabriel spun around in his arms, looking at the lobby man over Dean's shoulder. He grinned at the lobby man and popped a new sucker into his mouth, lifting up his middle finger before Dean turned the corner. A group of girls ran past them out of the opening elevator. They were dressed in swim suits and had towels wrapped around their waists.
"Guess there's a pool," Dean commented, stepping into the elevator and pressing the button to take them to the 7th floor. He let the angels squirm out of his arms and sent a quick text to Sammy, telling his little brother what room they were in. Just as he sent the message the doors opened to the 7th floor. Dean quickly shut his phone and followed the angels out of the elevator and down the wall. The angels skipped down the hall, waving politely to the cleaning ladies they pass. Dean smiled at the ladies and they smiled back. When they found their room Dean let Balthazar use the key card and had the other two push the door open. The four were instantly stunned by the bedroom inside. Freshly cleaned sheets covered the three beds, there was a wide screen TV, and Dean couldn't feel his feet sticking to the floor. It was perfect. There's a door on the far wall leading to the conjoined bedroom. The angels jumped onto the bed closest to the window and look out into the beautiful scenery. They could see people water skiing at some park nearby and some Wet Land rides that people are waiting in line for. More towards the left was the main attraction though. Universal studios. There was a knock on the door suddenly and Gabriel flew to it, opening it for Sam, Kevin, Charlie, and Bobby. The four dumped the suitcases and took in the awesome rooms.
"Glad to see my hacking skills pay off," Charlie commented with a wide grin. She walked over to the window and looked out into the dark sky. "We should go to bed. We've got a long day tomorrow." The angels' faces fell.
"But we've been stuck in the car forever!" Balthazar whined, flopping down on the bed face first.
"Dean and I could take the angels to the pool downstairs," Sam offered. The angels perked up at that and so did Dean. Charlie shook her head.
"Dudes I'm serious. We should –"
"Oh don't worry about it, Charlie. We won't be out too long," Dean said with a wink before grabbing a duffle bag with their swim gear. "Come on, Angels!" Dean called as he held open the door. The angels jumped off the bed, Gabe quickly casting a spell on their wings.
Dean dived into the pool, letting the water completely cover him. He popped up to the surface for a breath, quickly being splashed as three little angels canon balled their way in. Dean spat out a mouthful of water at them, earning a few giggles. There were other families in the pool, but it wasn't too crowded since most of them were in the deep end playing with a ball.
"This hits the spot," Sam commented from behind. Dean turned his head, watching as Sam dipped his feet into the cool water. Dean rolled his eyes at his brother and grabbed him by the hair, yanking Sammy into the water. The younger Winchester quickly popped up from the water, scowling at his brother menacingly. Dean only smiled and scooped Cas up out of the water.
"Want to play a game, buddy?" he asked. Cas nodded, his dark curls sticking to his face right in front of his eyes. Dean threw Cas high into the air. When Cas started to fall the hunter grabbed him, pulling him close to his chest before sinking underwater. The two quickly popped up again and Cas was beaming up at the hunter, lifting his arms up excitedly.
"Again! Again!" the angel cried.
"Me next!" Balthazar shouted.
"No me!" Gabriel shouted, dunking Balthazar underwater. Sam snatched Gabe up then, tossing the angel into the air and dunking him underwater much like how Dean had done to Cas. Gabe popped up, gasping for air. "Hey! I wasn't ready!" Gabe shouted, scowling up at the taller hunter. Sam shrugged and pointed his chin at a pissed off looking Balthazar.
"Then be nice to your brother."
"Yeah," Balthazar shouted at Gabriel. "Be nice to your –" Dean grabbed Balthazar and tossed the angel into the air. Sammy caught him then and collapsed under the water with the angel. When they popped back up Balthazar spat out a stream of water. "Very funny," he grumbled, but there was no venom in his voice. There was only a wide smile.
"Heads up!" a voice shouted from the deep end. Dean looked up just in time to see the ball coming right at them. He spiked the ball back to the other side and a kid with sandy blond hair caught it. "Sorry!" the kid shouted. His eyes went to the three little angels and then to the hunters. His smile grew. "Want to play?" Dean glanced at the angels, but he didn't need to. They were already swimming towards the deep end to play. Dean let out a sigh, glad that the angels were fairly good swimmers. He then glanced over to Sammy and nodded towards the group now playing monkey in the middle.
"Let's show them how it's done, Sammy," Dean said with a grin as he waggled his brows. Sam grinned back and started to swim towards the other end of the pool.
"Race ya!"
Charlie had been right. Dean and Sam were both exhausted and they had just made their way through the gates for Universal Studios. Kevin held a map in his hand, searching for Diagon Alley while Charlie kept forcing a bright yellow minion hat on top of Bobby's head while they walked. Where were the angels? They were right behind Dean. The hunter glanced over his shoulder at the three angels dressed in shorts and T-shirts as Dean pulled them in a red wagon. They all had white splotches on their faces from where Sam had put some sun screen on about a half an hour ago. In the wagon with them was some water and a blanket. Dean looked back ahead, spotting the Despicable Me 2 ride. Charlie pointed at it, eyes brightening instantly. Dean made to wheel the angels into line until he saw the wait limit.
"We are not waiting 2 hours for one ride," he said. His bones ached from swimming all night already. He was not going to add more just because of one ride he decided to stand in for too long. Charlie forced a glare at him, but he ignored it, and started walking again towards what looked like a train station. Next to the station was a booth of British merchandise and a purple double decker bus with a…was that a head? The angels let out excited squeals at the sight of it.
"The night bus!" they squealed. Dean's eyes widened, remembering the bus from one of the Harry Potter movies. They had to be close to Diagon Alley then. He looked around, eyes catching a large group of people walked out of the side of a wall dressed in Slytherin robes. Dean waved at the others to gain back their attention from the bus and pulled the angels towards the wall. As soon as they stepped through they were surrounded by the sweet music of the Harry Potter theme and the beauty of Diagon Alley in the flesh. A giant dragon sat atop Gringotts and the Weasley's Wizard Weazes shop was right at the front. Stores lined every inch of the place. Creatures and objects moved in the windows and even the newspaper images moved. It was a sight that was almost unbelievable. It was like they were actually in the film. Dean handed the wagon to Sam and helped the angels out, taking their hands as they walked through the shops. Charlie led the way, taking them right to Ollivander's so they could all get a wand so they could work some magic around the place. The wand shop was packed, but after some shoving and struggling they got out with their wands with the motion sensor tips. Charlie led the angels to a fountain then and pointed at a tile at their feet. She waved her wand like the direction said and said a spell, causing the fountain to spit out water. The angels cheered and each hurriedly whipped out their wands. They tried then, accidentally waving their wands in the wrong direction. One of the workers there dressed up in Hogwarts robes shot water at them then, keeping the gun hidden from their view.
"Oops!" he chuckled. "You have to do the incantations right or they might backfire on you!" He winked at them before flashing another smile at the angels and walking away to a group of kids trying to make water fall from an umbrella.
"Come on guys lets go to knockturn Alley!" Charlie shouted, dragging the group down a dark cavern. They didn't stay down there long. Mainly because the angels were scared in the dark. It didn't help that the actors down there followed you in the shadows. When they came out they went to a few shops and bought some Every Flavor Beans. After spending about half of their cash they finally made their way out of Diagon alley and headed towards the train station they saw when they first got there. The workers were all dressed up and pointed them in the correct direction. The more they walked the louder the music became and soon they were staring at a screen that made it look like you were walking right through the wall to get to platform 9 ¾. When they passed through the wall they were met with a magical sight. There sat the Hogwarts Express, blowing steam and whistling cheerfully as music played throughout the station. They quickly climbed on board, enjoying the ride as the window showed them passing through the country towards Hogwarts and the shadows on the door take the forms of dementors, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. When the train stopped they climbed out and exited the station to see Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts castle.
After that everything was a blur of fast rides and shops. They went on every ride they could get their hands on and drank what must have been gallons of butter beer (cream soda of course). Now they were settled in the grass by the bridge leading towards Jurassic Park. They all were stretched out on the blanket with Sam's laptop, watching the Sorcerer's Stone as they let their feet rest. The angels were the only ones not resting. They were draped in their Hogwarts robes Charlie had got for them and they were waving their wands from Ollivander's at each other, shouting spells and curses at each other. Whenever someone walked past them they would stop and shout a spell at the stranger. The stranger would then sometimes smile and pretend to get hit or deflect it with a different spell. The angels would then giggle and go back to playing.
Bobby stretched his arms and got to his feet, pulling out a couple bucks.
"Who wants some more butter beer?" he asked. Everyone quickly rose their hands. Well, everyone except one. Dean sat with his head propped up against Sam's leg, snoring soundly and drooling. Bobby smirked. "I'll see if they got a bucket of ice to wake sleeping beauty," Bobby added, turning on his heels and heading towards one of the stores. Charlie poked Dean's face, shaking her head.
"Told him he shouldn't have spent all night swimming," she muttered. Sam and Kevin laughed and the angels looked up at them, eyes falling on the sleeping Dean. They crept over, poking Dean in the face with the wands. They shouted a spell and Dean suddenly shot up and grabbed the angels. The three cried out as the hunter attacked their sides and tickled under their necks. Dean glanced over at Sam, Charlie, and Kevin, giving them a wink before blowing raspberries into Balthazar's tummy and then moving on to Cas' and Gabe's.
Thanks Cas has the TARDIS (guest) for the Harry Potter request! I had to put my trip to Orlando into some use too. I couldn't stop thinking about this chapter when I was in Florida and wrote down a couple notes for later. Hope you like!
