My Baby Unicorn
Meg sat in hell, twiddling her thumbs as she glared at the painting of Crowley dressed in a Nazi style uniform. Yep, she was still alive. Death by demon knife was a little too quick for Crowley's liking. After a bit of torture though she was free to go and wreak havoc. Well, as long as she stayed away from the Winchesters. That was the deal. She snapped her fingers, disappearing from hell and popping up outside of the house the Winchesters had taken for their own. Screw Crowley. She wanted to see her Unicorn.
The door to the house slammed open and the three angels rushed out of the house and into the yard. Meg's eyes widened when she recognized the one in a tan trench coat. Tiny black wings stuck out from his back and his eyes were bigger and wider than ever. So the rumors were true. The angels really were toddlers now. Crowley wasn't crazy then. Meg continued to watch the angels as they ran towards one of the birdfeeders stuck in the lawn. The angels each began to whistle and chirp and birds flew down to greet them. Blue jays, Cardinals, Oreos, and tiny humming birds. The angels giggled at the birds as they chirped and Meg felt herself smile as the angels chirped back.
Grrrr…
Meg swung around, eyes wide as a hellhound puppy bound at her. She fled from her hiding spot, racing over to the angels and standing in front of them protectively. What was a hellhound doing here and why did it look so weird?
"Custos, down!" Castiel shouted at the hound while rushing in front of the demon. Meg stared wide eyed at her fearless little unicorn. Custos let out a huff and plopped down on the ground, looking rather irritated. Castiel turned around and looked up at Meg, eyes wide and twinkling.
"Meg?" he whispered. Meg kneeled down in front of him and smiled at the angel.
"Hey, Clarence. How's my little unicorn –OOF!" Cas jumped into her arms, hugging her tight as he buried his face into her shoulder. Meg wrapped her arms around him, hand gently rubbing circles into the baby angel's back. "Happy to see me, kiddo?" she asked.
"Thought you were dead," Cas murmured, pulling back and looking up at her. Meg smiled.
"Well, it takes a lot more than a knife and Crowley to cut me down," she chuckled, fingers playing with his tiny feathers. "Where's your boyfriend and the beanpole?" she asked.
"Inside," Balthazar answered, staring at the demon with his brows raised. "Cassie, do you know her?"
"Name's Meg," she introduced herself. "We haven't met."
"Balthazar," the silver winged angel stated. "This is Gabriel," he added, nodding to a skeptical looking Gabriel. The archangel's wings were slightly puffed and he looked like he was ready to charge.
"You're a demon," The archangel hissed, eyes glinting dangerously. Meg smirked at him.
"Labels don't define me, sweet cheeks," Meg said simply. Gabriel frowned at that, opening his mouth to question her, but Meg turned her gaze back to Cas before he could get the chance. "How've you been angel? Last I saw of you…well, you were a bit out of it." Balthazar and Gabriel both shared a look, thoughts of Cas' nightmares drifting through their memories. They looked back at the angel to see that Cas was smiling. "I got a family now," Cas told her, smile widening. Meg laughed, twirling a few fingers between her fingers.
"So I've heard," she laughed. Meg fell backwards into the grass, laying on her back while letting Cas sit on her chest. She bopped the angel on the nose, emitting a small giggle from the angel. She chuckled lightly with him. "What do you think Dean would say to me kidnapping you, hmm?" she questioned playfully.
"He'd smite you," Balthazar chimed in.
"I'd like to see him try," Meg sighed just as the door of the house slammed open. The angels and Meg all glanced up to see the entire Winchester gang running at them, blades in hand. Dean was in the lead, eyes burning with worry, fear, shock, and several other emotions. "Speak of the devil," the demon chuckled. Meg smirked as she sat up. "Looks like it's time that I leave," she sighed, looking slightly saddened by the thought. Cas looked sad as well.
"You'll come back?" Cas whispered, eyes getting slightly bigger. Meg's blackened heart warmed and she pressed a kiss to Castiel's cheek.
"I always do, Clarence," she whispered, before setting the tiny angel down next to his brothers and getting up to her feat. She looked to Custos then and looked the pup right in the eye. "Take care of them, pooch." The dog yapped at her and Meg snapped her fingers, disappearing and reappearing into hell. Meg looked around herself before pressing her forehead against the warm walls of hell and deeply breathing in.
"I told you not to go," a voice whispered from behind. Meg whirled around, eyes falling onto Crowley. He was leaning against the wall next to his picture, eyes glinting in the horrible florescent lights of hell.
"Tell me what's happening, Crowley," Meg hissed, stepping into Crowley's personal space. Crowley chuckled.
"Sorry, traitor. No can do. Don't worry though. No one would think of hurting the feathery tribbles," Crowley reassured her. "The last thing anyone needs are the Winchesters putting names on the top of their Most Wanted list." Meg slouched slightly and stepped back, eyes still burning into the king of hell.
"You know what their planning up there?" Meg questioned, nodding her head upwards. Crowley shrugged, meaning that he did know.
"No clue, Darling. Those three are keeping their plan very hush hush," Crowley hummed. "But don't worry. Everything will work out accordingly to help with my grand scheme to set Hell on the top of the food chain." Meg slid down the wall and stared at her hands. A tiny black feather sat in her palm. She brushed her fingers over the softness. She smirked a little to herself and looked back to Crowley.
"I'll never be loyal to you Crowley. The only reason I haven't backstabbed you yet is because I'm still in the dark yet about this plan of yours. Know this though…" Meg squeezed the feather and shot to her feet so she was only inches from Crowley's face. "…when I find out what's happening I'll do everything I can to stop whatever you plan to use it for." Crowley laughed and turned his back on Meg.
"By then you'll be too late, darling," Crowley grinned before disappearing completely.
Constantine was the show the guys were watching last chapter! Kudos to those of you who got that. Meg's finally made an appearance and hopefully I'll bring her back in the future. Thanks for reading!
