Her Boys
The Impala had always been home to the Winchesters and the angels all knew that. They treated her like one of the family, keeping her well cared for and loved. That's one of the reasons the angels always helped when Dean went to give her a wash or to work on her. Sometimes he'd even let them help. That's what the angels were doing one very hot Sunday morning. Dean was working on the engine while the angels cleaned up the inside of the Impala. They stumbled on something during their cleaning. S.W. and D.W. was etched into the Impala, looking to have been carved long ago. The angels stared at the initials of their hunters, thoughts running through their heads. Gabriel picked up a knife that was hidden in the back seat and handed it over to Castiel. The angel stared at the blade for a moment before taking it and pressing the tip of it against the Impala, right under Dean and Sam's initials. Carefully the angel caved in a C before handing it off to Balthazar. The middle angel carved in a B and then when it came to Gabriel's turn the angel carved in a G. The angels smiled to themselves at they admired their handy work. They didn't get the chance to admire it for long though because Dean was calling for him. The angels flew out the window, leaving the knife on the seat.
Dean smiled at the angels as he leaned against the front of the Impala. Black was smudged against his cheek, shirt, and pants. He kneeled down when the angels came up to him and bopped them on the nose, leaving a black smudge behind. The angels giggled and Dean wiped his dirty hands on his pants before nodding towards the house.
"Almost ready for our drive," Dean said. "Why don't you three go grab some snacks for the trip?" The angels each nodded and bolted towards the house, leaving Dean behind with the Impala. Dean let out a happy sigh and peaked inside the Impala. The angels had been pretty content back there while he worked. He peaked in, noticing the knife on the seat. He frowned, leaning closer and noticing his and Sammy's initials were no longer alone. Underneath was a large C, B, and G. Dean felt his heart squeeze at the sight. His fingers reached out, gently tracing each letter.
"DEAN!" The hunter jumped, knocking his head against the roof. He grimaced and turned his head to see that Sam was now peeking through the door. "You got her ready yet for our drive?" he asked. Dean nodded and glanced back to the letters, waving his brother to look too. Sam frowned, but crawled into the back. Dean tapped at the new letters scratched into the Impala and Sammy sucked in a breath, eyes widening just as wide as his smile.
"I think its missing something yet, don't you?" Dean asked, smirking as he grabbed the knife from the seat. Sam glanced at the knife and nodded, watching as his brother sketched in three W's next to the C, B, and G. Dean pulled back and whipped his brow when he finished, looking rather proud with his handiwork. Sam clapped his brother on the shoulder, sharing his pride before three voices screamed from the doorway. Dean and Sam got out of the Impala and caught their angels as the three flew into their arms. Dean and Sam laughed with the three, tossing them up into the air and catching them a few times before finally deciding to get on with what they had planned for the day. The five piled into the car and Dean stepped on the gas. The Impala raced down the road, taking her boys to meet their next adventure.
Lucifer looked away from the theater screen in Heaven. He had snuck in without Michael or anyone noticing. Luci only wanted to see how his brothers were doing and by the looks of it they were just fine with their humans.
Wings stretched out from Lucifer's back and he closed his eyes, opening them to find that he had moved. He looked around the garden, seeing that the plants were glowing more than usual. Even the trees seemed to be casting off a glow. The glowing wasn't warm and inviting though. It felt eerie and caused chills to run up Lucifer's spine.
Towards the stream there was a large, lush clearing where to figures stood silently. Lucifer recognized the both of them.
"It's time," Joshua hummed stepping into a white circle painted onto the green ground. Lydia stood at his side. Lucifer watched the two pull out blades made of bone and start to draw on their palms with the blade. Fear bubbled in Lucifer's chest as he wondered if this was truly what was right. This what his father wanted and he no longer wished to disobey, but something didn't feel right about this. It wasn't the same feeling he had when his father told him to love the humans. This feeling was different. It actually felt like he was betraying his family this time. "Do not fear, Brother, all will be fine soon," Joshua reassured, sensing his brother's hesitation. "We are following the word of god after all." Lucifer nodded, but kept silent as the two started their ritual again. A soft chant echoed about the room and Lydia pulled out a small vile of red. It was blood, blood of three angels. Lucifer cringed, realizing what three the blood had been stolen from. He had assisted in the capturing of the blood in the first place. When the angels had ran away after the death of their sister demons had attacked and taken a little of their blood. Now it was going to be used for something God himself has been waiting for since the making of man. Lucifer sucked in a breath, closing his eyes as Lydia poured the blood against Joshua's palm. He only prayed that his siblings would forgive him.
