This chapter contains stories from Chapter 13: Molting and Chapter 77: Doctor Cas Is In.

Memories for the Leaving

Meg sat with the Winchesters in the living room. God's plan had hit the world and Meg had battled her way from hell to make sure her unicorn and his brothers were alright. When she had heard about the angels being deaged and cast down to Earth she had run to find the Winchesters, carrying along with her information on Crowley wanting the new fluffballs. Luckily, her angels were still fine. There was still the threat of what Crowley was planning though. It had something to do with the baby angels now on Earth. What he was kidnapping them for exactly had everyone worried.

"Meg!" Cas called, running up to the demon with one hand behind his back. Meg snapped out of her thoughts and looked to the little angel. Cas pulled his hand from behind his back, revealing an orange and red wildflower. "For you," Castiel said cutely, handing over the flower. Meg took it, grinning at the angel.

"Aw, Clarence. You sure do know how to charm the ladies don't you?" Cas blushed a little and then quickly scurried back outside. Meg twirled the flower between her fingers and looked over at the others in the room. Sam was sitting silently with his laptop balanced on one knee. He was trying to find anything that might be related to the angels now on Earth. The hunter was checking, news channels, orphanages, and child services for anything that could help.

Dean was sitting on the couch with Gabriel between his legs. The hunter was brushing through the soft, gold feathers protruding from his back. Balthazar was sitting on the floor, poking at the fallen gold feathers with boredom.

"Why don't you tell me some stories angels?" she asked, hoping to cure the two angels of their boredom. Gabriel and Balthazar both perked up at the idea.

"I got one," Gabe said with a smirk.

Cas sat snuggled in bed, nose red and tissues littering the floor around him. The angel had caught Dean's cold a few days after the hunter got over it. Now the angel was stuck in bed while his brothers got to play outside and have fun.

Knock! Knock!

Cas looked up from his pillow to shout for whoever it was to come in and then let his head plop back down onto the pillow again. He was too tired to hold it up. The door knob jiggled and Dean appeared in the doorway with Balthazar and Gabriel on either shoulder. The hunter was decked out in a long, white doctor's coat and the two angels on his shoulders were in little red nurse uniforms with the skirts and everything.

"Doctor Dean is in!" Dean shouted, mimicking what Cas had done when Dean had been sick.

"And his lovely nurses," Balthazar added, winking at Cas. Cas tilted his head to the side lazily as he gazed at them.

"What are you doing?" Cas questioned, rubbing at his nose with his sleeve as it started to run. Dean sat down next to the angel on the bed and gently placed a hand on the angel's cheek.

"You took care of me, buddy. It's only fair that I repay the favor," Dean said, hand traveling from Cas cheek to the angel's forehead. Cas glanced over at his brothers and the two of them shrugged.

"Couldn't have any fun without you, little bro," Gabe said, popping a sucker into his mouth. Cas smiled at them and Dean pulled Cas' into his lap, pulling the blankets with.

"Okay, nurse Gabriel and Balthazar lets get started," Dean said. Gabriel and Balthazar both snapped their fingers and the room transformed into a doctor's office. A white bag with a red cross on it sat by Dean's side and Balthazar pulled out a green bowl full of tomato rice soup.

"How'd you do that?" Cas asked with widened eyes. Balthazar handed the soup to his little brother and grinned. "Gotta love the power of grace," he said, handing off a spoon. Cas took the spoon and slurped at his soup, humming happily as the warm liquid warmed and soothed his aching throat.

"Dean?" Dean turned his head and his eyes widened as he saw Sam walk into the bedroom.

"Get stuffed!" Dean shouted and the angels all fell over, pretending to be stuffed animals. Dean made sure to keep a hand on Cas' soup to keep it from flying off of the bed. Sam rose a brow at his brother, rolling his eyes as he put a pink, plastic stethoscope around his neck.

"Figured you could use another doctor, McStuffins," he said with a grin. Dean grinned back and nodded towards Gabriel. The archangel reached into the med bag and pulled out a broom.

"You're on tissue patrol." Gabe chuckled, waving a hand at the piles of tissues Cas had thrown to the floor. Sam scowled and glared at the four of them.

"I'm a doctor, not a janitor," he commented, tapping at the plastic stethoscope. Gabriel snapped his fingers and Sam's clothes transformed into a blue jumpsuit and the stethoscope around his neck molded into a cleaning rag.

"You were saying?" Dean chuckled and Sam tossed the rag at his brother.

"Jerk!

"Bitch!" Dean shouted before turning back to his patient, laughing under his breath as Sam picked up the snot covered tissues.

Meg barked out a laugh, leaning back far in her seat. Sam turned a slight pink from his chair and the others quickly joined in on the laughter. The thick, uneasy atmosphere dissipating instantly.

"Oh, give us another one!" Meg cried, wiping the tears from her eyes. Balthazar thought for a moment.

"Hmmm…Gabe, how about one of your adventures?" Balthazar prompted. "Oh! Tell us how you and Cassie broke the pipes?" Meg rose a brow at the golden winged angel.

"Do tell."

"Speaking of flying…aren't you supposed to be watching Castiel while Sam and Bobby are away?" Dean questioned as he stared up at the angel sitting on the ceiling fan. Gabe paled slightly.

"Uh, see ya later!" Gabe called, disappearing from the room and reappearing in the kitchen. Cas was standing on the counter, fluffy baby wings stretched out. "CAS, STOP!" Gabe shouted, stopping his brother before he could leap from the counter. Gabriel flew up to his brother and glared at the little angel. "You've already got one broken bone, do you really want another?" he questioned, raising a brow at the little angel.

"I can do its!" Cas said, flapping his wings proudly. "My baby feathers turned into big ones last week," the angel said proudly. Gabe rolled his eyes at his little brother and poked at the little feathers on Cas' left wing.

"They're still baby feathers, Cas, you can't fly yet," Gabe tried to tell the angel. Cas shook his head and crawled up onto the top of a cupboard.

"Yes I can!" Cas shouted, leaping off the cupboard without hesitation. Gabe yelped and reached out to catch Cas, but the little angel's wings spread out and pulled him from Gabe's reach, carrying him back towards the sink. Cas tried to flap his wings then, but his baby feathers couldn't get any support from the air around him. With a shriek Cas hurtled towards the hard marble of the sink. Gabe held out a hand, willing his grace to do his bidding and not to spiral out of control. The sink tap rattled and water blew up from the tap as Gabriel's grace burst the pipes and sprayed across the kitchen. The ark of water caught Castiel, holding him up in the air. Cas spread his wings wide as the water threw him back into the air and the angel cheered loudly until another ark of water shot him back onto the counter.

"CAS!" Gabe shouted, diving to his little brother. "You okay? Are you hurt?" Cas shook himself from his daze and smiled up at his brother.

"Did you see that, Gabby? I almost did it!" Gabe held back the urge to facepalm.

"Yeah, Cas, I saw," he sighed, glancing towards the burst sink. "Oops," he mumbled. Cas stared at the blown up sink and the pool of water now taking over the floor.

"Sam is going to kill you," Cas muttered, rubbing at his arm.

"Thanks captain obvious," Gabe growled, softening when he noticed Cas rubbing at his broken arm. "You hurt your arm?" Cas shook his head.

"Just smacked it when I fells," the smaller angel stated. Gabriel wrapped his arms around Cas and helped his little brother down from the counter and back to the floor.

"You go get your painkillers or something, okay? I'll...improvise here," Gabe suggested. Cas nodded and disappeared out of the kitchen, leaving Gabriel alone with the rising water.

"We spent the rest of the day trying to get the water out of there," Balthazar sighed, looking to his older brother. "Thanks for that by the way." Gabriel frowned at his brother.

"Hey, not my fault! Cas was the one that tried jumping off a cabinet!"

"Yeah, but you're the one who blew up the sink," Balthazar added.

"But-"

"Hey, guys…" Sam sat up in his chair, interrupting the angels' banter. "Child services haven't found any children with wings or anything," Sam stated. Dean scowled.

"Then where could they be?" he questioned. "There's nowhere else for them to go." Sam shook his head and an uncomfortable silence filled the room. A thought nagged at the back of Meg's mind as the silence went on. It would be risky for her, but it might help.

"I have to go," Meg said out of nowhere. Eyes widened and Meg rose from her seat. "I'll keep an eye on Crowley. Hopefully I'll find out what he's planning. Hell, maybe I can get some information to you guys on where the angels are that they're going after?" Balthazar shook his head frantically.

"But you had to fight your way out last time. What if they…"

"Don't worry about it, Balt," she said with a small smile. "I'm a demon. It's my job to get out of sticky situations and cause trouble." She gave him a kiss on the cheek and then one to Gabriel. "I'll be fine." No one seemed pleased with Meg's idea, but they didn't try to argue.

"Say goodbye to Cas before you go," Dean whispered. Meg looked at him as if shocked.

"You say that like I'd forget!" she says with mock humor before turning her back and walking out of the house. She bumped into Cas on the steps. The angel was sunning himself out, wings stretched out and soaking in the warmth. On his head was a flower crown of blue and white flowers. "Hey, Clarence," she chuckled. Cas opened one eye and grinned at her, patting at his side for her to sit next to him. Meg did and let her fingers play with Cas' feathers. They stared up into the sky, watching as the last of the red drained away to blue. Meg guessed that meant the last of the angels had finally left heaven.

"You're leaving," Cas stated, keeping his eyes on a fluffy white cloud. Meg nodded, watching the angel, waiting for him to get mad or something. He didn't. Instead he sat up on the steps and looked at Meg with those big blue puppy eyes.

"Castiel…"

"It's fine," Cas reassured her. "You'll come back?" Meg turned her head to the side and leaned close, kissing Cas on the nose lightly.

"I always come back," she whispered before pulling away from the angel. "Don't destroy any sinks while I'm gone," she added before disappearing down the driveway, fingers gently stroking the black feather in her pocket.

Glad to hear that you all are excited about the new baby angels. Next chapter will touch up with what exactly is happening to the little guys. As for the question on if Cas, Gabe and Balthazar are older...you'll have to wait and see.

Thanks you tazertricks and guest for the flashback and sick!Cas requests. The flashback is what Cas and Gabe were up to during the events of chapter 13: Molting.
