Chapter 6:

Jocelyn was in the library when Magnus arrived. She was happy to see her friend who she knew would stop at nothing to help her daughter. At first she didn't see the brown haired girl walk in behind him. She hadn't seen this young woman since Clary was very young. Though Jocelyn knew that this woman was not as young as she looked, she was still surprised at how her beauty had not wavered.

"Tessa, it's wonderful to see you again!"

"Oh Jocelyn you look absolutely radiant! Come here dear!" the woman exclaimed as she pulled Jocelyn into a great big hug.

Once they released, Tessa spoke again.

"I'm so sorry for the pain you have been in lately."

"Thank you, but I know that you will help extremely in our situation."

The two sat on the couch and continued to talk about their lives since they had last seen each other, when the door opened. The kids minus Clary walked in laughing at what was most likely a joke. They all stopped when they spotted Tessa on the couch.

"Kids this is Ms. Tessa Gray, she is here to help Clary."

Jon and the gang had just been in the training room taking out their frustrations. Each using his or her preferred weapon to inflict pain on unsuspecting plastic dummies. Jon fought out his pain with his long sword, the pain of not knowing if Clary was ok, the pain of not being able to help, and lastly the shear pain of guilt because it was her and not him. When the gang finished they made there way to the library laughing jokes that were so bad they were funny. When they arrived and opened the door they saw a young woman sitting with his mother. They instantly stopped laughing, and Jocelyn introduced the woman to them. His mother said nothing after that so he decided to introduce them to her.

"Hello Ms. Gray, I'm Jonathon but I go by Jon."

"Oh dear call me Tessa!"

"Okay. And this is Alec and Isabelle Lightwood, Simon Lewis, and Jace Herondale."

At the mention of Jace's last name the woman looked sad then confused and finally excited. Jon wondered what caused all those emotions in such a young woman and why the trigger was the name Herondale.

Herondale. A name she hadn't heard in years, her name. Tessa was unprepared to find out that there was a Herondale heir, still living, that day she stopped by to talk with Jocelyn. She has had yet to talk to the teenage boy of who she really is. The group of kids had found out a few days earlier that she was a warlock with out a mark because of Shadow Hunter blood mixed with demon that ran through her body. The young girl, Clary, had met with Tessa on many occasions to just talk about life and what she liked to do. Tessa had thought that maybe talking to a second party would help her open up more and share what happened to her the year she was gone. Things were running smoothly, lately Clary would talk about the happy place that she always got to go to around the later months she was there. Tessa knew that it most likely was the addiction showing her falsities in her mind.

Clary relationships with her friends, brother, and boyfriend have been touch and go and sometimes no one knew where they stood. Clary and Jon seemed to be either on and off with each other, her and her friends were good for the most and her and Jace were somewhere unexplainable. Clary didn't know how to put her and Jace into words lately. They as a couple hadn't seemed to change, but they as people most definitely had. Clary was more reserved but was still as stubborn as every and Jace had become even more protective and very cautious, which didn't used to even be in his vocabulary. They fought a bit more, Clary would push her self too hard and start coughing, which soon lead to her coughing blood, and everyone freaking out. She had gotten used to it by then and was surprised that the others still hadn't.

Jem was on his way to meet Clary for the first time. Tessa would tell him what they had talked about in their sessions, but he truly wanted to meet this girl in all her glory…

A/N: Next chapter will start where this left off, I promise, I just needed a good place to end and that seemed to work best. Thank you as always!
