Luna worked around the clock. Non stop. She was working her dang hardest to make a cure for me. She didn't stop to eat or sleep. She kept on working her tail off to get me a cure.
The Hedgehogs were especially nervous for me. The boy's level of nervousness was no where near close to how Sonia's was. As the boys slept, she held onto my hand and kept saying to me, " You're going to make it, Snow Angel. You're going to make it. "
Eventually , Sonia's lack of sleep caught up with her and she passed out asleep. The boys were on a little couch Luna had, fast asleep. Sonia, she was sitting on a comfortable looking, blue chair that was next to the hospital bed I was in. They all tried to stay up as long as they could but they just couldn't do it.
When it hit the 19 hour mark, Luna yelled " I'm finished! It was quicker than expected but I'm finished." The hedgehogs were startled awake by the yelling. Me on the other hand, not so much. Sonia rubbed her eyes and said " Y- You're done? GET IT TO HIM NOW!" She had a burst of energy and she was instantly fully awake
The boys were wide awake as well. " I don't mean to sound rude or anything but , I'm waiting. " Sonic said. " We all are." Manic said. " GIVE ME A MINUTE!" Luna yelled before putting a lime green liquid into a syringe.
She trotted over to my bed. " I know a syringe is the last thing you'd want in you right now, Snowy. But this is going to save you. " She said. The hedgehogs followed her close behind. " WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? STICK HIM ALREADY! " Sonia yelled.
Luna was calm and collected, didn't even speak to her and plunged the syringe into my arm. Dang, I'm glad I was unconscious so I couldn't feel that. Luna patted my head and said " Now you just rest now, Snowy. Let the medicine do it's job."
She trotted to her desk and sat down. " I really could go for a cup of coffee right now. " The hedgehogs followed and sat on the couch in front of the desk . " Is he going to be okay?" Sonia asked. " We're going to have to wait and see. " Luna said.
" I really hope we don't have to wait long. " Sonic said. " Me neither. " Manic said. " He may be dating my sister but he is one of my best friends and I didn't want him to die ." Manic added. Sonia just shook her head. " This is not the time to be talking about your disgust with mine and Snow's relationship. "
" I don't really think you two boys should care anyways. How is it your business anyways? " Luna piped up. " That's what I've been trying to tell them. They never listen. " Sonia said. " Whatever. " The boys said in unison.
Changing the subject, Sonia asked, " So, how do you know my Snow Angel? " Luna giggle a little. " Such a cute nickname for him. Why didn't I think of that? " She had a big smile. " I'm sorry ma'am but that didn't answer her question." Manic said.
" Sorry. That really is a cute nickname . As to the question of how I know Snow. I was a really great friend of his mother's. I was with her at the hospital when she was giving birth to him. As soon as he was born, I knew that I loved him as if he was my own. As soon as I saw that adorable fluffy tail of his , I knew that we were family. I was so close with his mother, that she asked me to be his god mother. I of course said yes. I was with him and his family all the time, having wonderful bonding experience with them. Everything turned bad when Robotnik attacked. His parents were killed as well as his entire family. I took Snowy and we hid in Holoaska. I was the only family he had left and I was his only option. I was the only family he had left but not anymore. You're his family. Sonia, such a lovely girl. You're lucky to have captured his heart. Sonic, Manic. Great friends to him. " She finished her long story with tears in her eyes.
The hedgehogs were sympathetic . Sonia stood up and hugged her. " Whose to say that you aren't still family? " She asked. The boys followed suite and hugged her as well. " You're an important person in his life." Sonic said. " Now you're an important person in our lives to." Manic said .
Luna wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled. " You all are so sweet. Snowy is lucky to have you guys. " They all smiled. " Why don't you have some bonding time with his new family?" Manic suggested, summoning up his drums.
" JAM SESSION! " Sonic said before summoning his guitar. " This will be fun. Great thing to do while we wait. " Sonia said before summoning her keyboard . Luna's smile got wider. " I got a pretty mean singing voice." Luna said, standing up from her desk and walking over by the hedgehogs.
The hedgehogs started playing a song that made Luna burst out laughing. " What Does The Fox Say? Really? " She said. " Well, Snow is a fox, isn't he? " Sonia said, continuing to play her keyboard. Luna shook her head with a giggle and began singing.
They were having so much fun. I was beginning to stir. I was waking up. The cure did it's job and I was better than ever. They were still in the middle of their song when I was completely awake . They clearly didn't notice me when I woke up. I got out of the bed and sneakily snuck up behind Luna.
And as loudly as I can I started singing, " Big blue eyes, pointy nose, chasing mice and digging holes. Tiny paws, up the hill, suddenly you're standing still. " They all immediately stopped playing and they turned around to see me. " OH MY GOD! SNOW !" Sonia said, running up to me and tackling me into a big hug. " Don't you ever scare me like that again. Never. Never. Never." She said.
" I never will. You can bet on that. That fat butt head will be a popsicle if he ever even thinks of trying that again. " I said, summoning a small snow cloud above my head and making a small blizzard happen .
