Beam Me Up, Balthy

"Space, the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise –"

"Charlie, it's starting!" all three angels shouted as the screen of the TV revealed the image of one of their favorite ships. Charlie quickly rushed in with a bowl in her hands filled with both popcorn and a giggly Balthazar. Sam frowned on seeing the angel dipped in what they had planned on eating.

"Do we even want to know?" he asked. Charlie and Balthazar both shrugged. Charlie took a seat on the floor between Dean and Gabriel. Cas was curled up with Custos on the couch with Bobby and Sam was seated in the big armchair closest to the TV.

Star trek marathons took up a big part in the group's Thursday nights. They would all sit together with buckets of ice cream or huge bowls of popcorn. This day was a popcorn Thursday with extra Balthazar instead of butter apparently.

"I wish we could meet him," Cas commented suddenly. Kevin raised a brow.

"Who?" the prophet questioned. "Captain Kirk?" Castiel nodded, watching as Kirk and Spock discussed their current course on the television screen.

"I'm sure I could give him a few pointers on fighting another opponent," Castiel stated. The group laughed. The last episode they watched was one where Captain Kirk was fighting a very obviously fake alien. The angels hadn't been to impress with the captain's or the creature's fighting skills. They had gone several days teasing the fight scene when roughhousing with each other.

Balthazar's lips quirked in a smirk and he clicked his fingers together. Gabriel rolled his eyes at his brother.

"Balthy, you're stealing my job. I'm the cool mojo brother, remember?" the archangel commented. Balthazar shrugged, grinning mischievously.

"Practice makes perfect, right? Maybe even more perfect than you?" he teased. Gabe stuck his tongue out at his brother and looked back at the screen. Captain Kirk and his crew were surrounded by enemies and soon Balthazar's grace swooped up around the captain and beamed him out of the television. The grace re-materialized with the captain seconds later in their living room. Everyone stared on with wide eyes, Charlie and Dean being the most affected out of them all. Charlie nearly fainted and Dean choked on his popcorn. Honestly, it shouldn't have been surprising any more on what the angels' imaginative powers were capable of. Purple dragons and real-life TARDIS' were just a few small examples.

"Uh…" Kirk looked around in confusion. "Where am I?"

"Minnesota," Bobby stated, grabbing Balthazar from the popcorn bowl and picking a piece from the angel's head. "You have him to thank for this," Bobby added, popping the popcorn from Balthazar's head into his mouth. Kirk's eyes widened.

"Minnesota?" he gasped. "But, I was…" he trailed off, eyes falling back onto Balthazar. He wasn't staring at the angel though. He was staring at the wings attached to the angel. "What the –"

"Long story," Dean interrupted, getting up onto his feet shakily and holding out a hand. "I'm D…Dean Winchester." The hunter cursed himself for stuttering and turned his gaze back to the captain.

"Captain James T. Kirk," the captain stated, eyes skipping back to Balthazar every few seconds. "And if this is a kidnaping I should warn you. My crew and I aren't to be underestimated." Dean opened his mouth to comment, but he was suddenly sent flying across the room and into a pile on top of Bobby and Balthazar. Dean growled and looked up, spotting Charlie now standing were he had been with big eyes and a wide grin.

"Oh my God! Balthy, why haven't you done this before- OH! Can you beam up Joffrey? I'd love to give that little brat a –" Kevin snuck up behind her and covered Charlie's mouth with his hand.

"Nice one, Kevin," Dean snickered. Kevin smirked and glanced back at Bill.

"Sorry about that…uh, Sir," Kevin said, pulling Charlie away from the startled man. "She's kinda a fan –"

"Kinda?!" Charlie grumbled, managing to pull away from Kevin's hand a little. The captain looked away from her and Kevin and glanced back to Balthazar, kneeling next to the angel. Balthazar crawled from Bobby and Dean to the captain with a big grin on his face and his wings fluffed up. The captain curiously reached out towards the silver wings, fingers brushing against the smooth feathers. There was a rustling sound then and the man turned, spotting Gabriel and Castiel. The two had flown up next to him, wings splayed out for him to see. Kirk's eyes widened and he looked the three over.

"What creatures are these?" Sam leaned forward in his seat.

"Uh, this is Gabriel, Balthazar, and Castiel. They're angels," Sam stated, waving at each angel as he introduced them. Kirk huffed, crossing his arms.

"Yeah, right. There's no such thing –" He was cut off as both Balthazar and Gabriel pressed two fingers each onto his forehead. He gasped as a sudden warmth washed over him. Pictures evaded his mind, showing him images of the three winged creatures and their power. The images faded away when the two angels pulled back, leaving the captain breathless.

"Well?" Gabriel hummed. The captain sucked in a breath.

"I figured angels would be…taller." Dean laughed loudly.

"Well, they used to, but that's another long story," he chuckled. The captain nodded and looked over the angels again.

"Why am I here though? Am I…"

"Summoned for some holy mission?" Kevin guessed for him. Kirk nodded. "That's our job sadly." Kevin pointed back to the angels. "They just wanted to meet you."

"…and give you some proper fighting lessons," Cas added. The captain frowned at that.

"What's wrong with my fighting skills?" Each angel raised a brow and Gabriel flicked a finger at the TV. Kirk turned, watching as the video rewound itself and played several clips of him fighting several creatures. He flinched at watching himself and glared back at the three. "Oh, and you three Tribbles can do better?" he challenged. Charlie whistled and elbowed Kevin in the ribs.

"Oh! Here we go!" Kirk frowned at her in confusion.

"Wait..wha –"

The world around the captain changed and soon he found himself in a field with orange grasses and a sky with more than one sun. The angels had him circled and the others were all seated on stands. He started laughing then, looking at the tiny angels. The angels smirked and both Gabriel and Balthazar flew from their spots, throwing themselves at the captain. He grinned then, holding his arms up to protect himself from their attack. If they wanted to roughhouse a little he'd go along with it then. Maybe he'd even let them win?

The angels were only inches from Kirk's face when they suddenly pulled back and flew back to the same spots they had stood in before. Kirk frowned. Where was Castiel –

A sharp pain ran up Kirk's side as a tiny fist collided against his stomach. He yelped and fell backwards, looking up just in time to see Cas step back into a pose. His knees were bent slightly and his eyes were set on the captain. The angels' family cheered from the stands and a scoreboard appeared in Charlie's lap. 1 to 0. Kirk got back to his feet shakily.

"Nice trick," he complimented. "But let me show you how we fight on the Enterprise." The angels each snickered and got into different fight stances. Their wings fluffed out wide and their bodies remained loose as they prepared for the captain's attack.

"Angels 20, Captain Kirk 0!" Charlie shouted, flipping the numbers on the scoreboard as the angels sent the captain falling onto his backside for the 20th time. The captain groaned and fell back into the grass.

"I think I underestimated you three," he stated. The angels shrugged and both Balthazar and Gabriel snapped their fingers. The world around them changed again and they were all back in the living room in seconds. Kirk sat up, looking back towards the TV where it was paused. He and his crew were still surrounded.

"Gabe! Balthazar!" Castiel cried out suddenly. The captain turned in time to catch both of the older angels before they could collapse. Castiel poked at his brothers worriedly. "You okay?" he asked, glancing worriedly at the others in the room surrounding them. Gabriel sat up a little, eyes glazed and tired.

"Sorry, just a little worn out from…everything," he slurred. Sam bent down and picked him up while Dean took an even more tired Balthazar. The captain stood.

"I suppose that means I should get back to my world," he stated, nodding back to the TV. The angels nodded and Balthazar held out a hand.

"See ya, Captain," he murmured sleepily.

"Till next time," Kirk whispered. Grace surrounded him and in a great burst of light he was gone. Balthazar instantly fell into a light doze and Dean set him down next to Custos. The puppy curled around him, snuggling close with the angel. Sam took a seat on the couch and set Gabriel in his lap, running his fingers through the archangel's wings until he was doing too. Charlie sighed and grabbed the remote to the TV, scooping up Cas and taking a seat on the floor with Kevin and Dean. She pushed the pause button and their show continued.

Captain Kirk looked around, finding himself back on a new planet with his crew. They were surrounded by foes just like they had been before the angels had beamed him to their world.

"Captain?" Kirk looked up, finding Spock by his side with a worried look on his face. The captain quickly shook himself and turned his attention fully onto his friend.

"I'm fine, Spock" he reassured before glancing to the foes surrounding them. He got into the same stance he'd observed from the angels. With a shout, he lunged, whispering his thanks to the angels before giving the enemy a hard kick to the stomach.
