Sasuke's P.O.V.

It was 4AM when Sasuke woke up from his slumber. He rubbed his oxy eyes, wiping away the cold that built up in them over night. He stretched his arm out to his side only to feel an empty space.

"Sakura?" He sat up from his bed. He looked all over his room.

She wasn't there.

He checked in his bathroom.

It was empty.

The Uchiha paced downstairs to the living room. He looked at the couch and didn't see the small child laying there. Only her blanket left folded nice and neat. Sasuke ran back upstairs to his room. He reached on his night stand for his phone but found something underneath: A sheet of paper folded up.

His eyes grew wide as he read the note.

I'm sorry.

We had to go home.

I'll see you later.

-Sakura

"Damnit!" The raven haired boy threw the note out of frustration. He put his jacket and shoes on and headed downstairs. His car keys were on the counter. Itachi must of used the mustang and forgot to hide the keys.

Oh well.

In a hurry, Sasuke started the car and drove off. He wasn't sure where she would have gone. But he had an idea. They were way on the other side of town. No way Sakura would of walked all the way back home. She couldn't be that dumb.

There was only one solution.

The bus.

The closest bus stop was ten minutes away and the first bus of the day ran at 5AM.

He pulled out his phone. 4:30AM. He had time.

Finally, Sasuke made it to the bus stop. He saw her on the bench. Riri was under the bench in a ball. He could hear her crying down the street. But Sasuke saw a third person.

Someone else was with them.

A man.

He was hovering over the two girls. He saw that Sakura pushed the man away but the man snapped at her and grabbed her.

Sasuke felt something in his mind click.

He immediatly stopped the car and got out. He ran over to them. The raven haired boy grabbed a hold of the man's matted hair and yanked him away from them. The man fell down to the sidewalk. He was laughing. He reeked of cheap booze, cigarettes and a desperate need of a bath.

"I only wanted some change man." He said. "You people look at us like garbage. And when we ask for help you refuse!"

"Shut up!" Sasuke kicked the man right in the gut. He balled up in fetus position from the pain.

"No excuse to harass people." He walked over to Sakura. He grabbed Riri from under the bench. The child clingged to him. "Let's go."

Sakura didn't budge.

"LET'S GO!" He grabbed Sakura's hand and forced her to the car. Once he straped Riri in he sped off.

It was quiet for at least five minutes.

"Do you have ANY idea how stupid that was?"

"Sasu-"

"If you wanted to go home so bad all you had to do was tell me and I would of dropped you. Instead you sneak you and your sister out in the middle of the night to catch the damn bus. Really? Do you not know you could of been in a worst situtation then what happened? Something could of happened to you OR Riri. Have you lost your mind?"

Sasuke was furious.

"I'm pissed off because I care about you guys. I'm not interested in getting into your pants Sakura. I can wait. I'm with you because I love you."

"How can you love someone you barely know?" She stated.

Sasuke pulled over to a parking lot. He parked the car and turned it off. He took off his jacket and wrapped Riri in it.

"I have a detachment issue. I will cut you off and act like I never knew you. If I can cut off my own family I can cut off anyone. I don't let anyone into my life. I only have two friends: Naruto and you. Yeah I barely know you and I fell in love with you. I've never been in love. Not even with my ex. I don't even know why I was with her. But I love you Sakura." Sasuke grabbed her cold hands and intertwined them with his warm ones. He looked her in the eyes. Her emerald eyes were filled with tears.

"Let's grow together. Do you mind?"

"No."

Sasuke wrapped his arms around Sakura. His embrace was warm.

"I don't have anyone. My parents are dead. All I have is my older brother and we don't get along. I don't let people in my life that easy but you're the first. Something is telling me that you are for me." He looked her in the eyes. He took one of her hands and placed it on his chest. The pink haired girl started to blush as she felt his heart beating.

"I'm not here to hurt you. I can tell that you were hurt before. Just open your heart to me. Give me a chance."

"Sasuke." Sakura said in a light voice. The raven haired boy looked at her. She couldn't keep eye contact.

"I'm not who I seem to be."

Sakura's P.O.V.

"I'm not who I seem to be." She said. She felt nervous and sick. Sakura never opened up to anyone at all. Only Hinata.

"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked.

"I- I-" Sakura would open her mouth to speak but nothing would come out.

She could feel the tears pouring down her face. It was so hard to tell him what she had to say.

"I'm sorry. I-I- I just need time."

"What do you mean?"

"This is all new to me Sasuke. I'm awkward. I'm antisocial. Just give me time to myself for a little bit. I need to adapt."

'He can't know. He can't know anything.'

"I'll give you as much time as you need." Sasuke said. He started up the car. "I guess I'll drop you off then."

"Yeah. My mom is going to kill me."

Literally.

Sasuke drove Sakura home. Before he drove off he kissed her forehead and told her he loved her.

She never said it back.

Sakura entered her home with her child in her hands asleep. The house was quiet.

Sakura peeked in the living room. There was no one there. She went in the kitchen. Empty. Something didn't seem right. Her mother wasn't in sight and the house was quiet.

"Something's wrong." Sakura whispered. She looked down at Riri. She was wide awake now.

Sakura went over to the laundry room. She unplugged the washing machine and stuck Riri inside. "Stay here. Don't make a sound. Mimi will be right back." Sakura closed the lid and walked upstairs.

The closer she got to her room the faster her heart beat. She made it to her door and stopped. Sakura stood at the door which seemed like forever. Finally she grabbed a hold of the door knob and slowly turned it.

Sakura swung her door open.

Her eyes grew wide as she saw who was in her room.

On her bed.

Fear trembled all over her body.

He was there.

Waiting for her.

Zabuza.
