Netflix Night

Donna followed the angels, Vali, Bobby, and Kevin across the street to a quiet little house surrounded by a bright green lawn and thriving flower garden. She held Uriel in her arms, her fingers unconsciously dragging through the dark grey feathers. She was never sure on what Uriel was, but finding out that he was an angel of the lord made her head swim. Sometimes, for fun, Donna would envision that Uriel was just a super mutant from the X-men or something. Turns out he was a warrior of God. The God! Did that mean that God was real then? Where was he? What was he like—

Bobby knocked on the front door of Samandriel's home, breaking Donna out of her thoughts. She looked up at the door she now stood in front of, ears picking up the soft sound of feet tapping closer and closer from the other side.

"Coming!" a voice called from behind the door. It flung open a few seconds later, revealing a pale man with dark hair and a soaked sweater. His eyes brightened as his eyes focused on his visitors, mouth turning up into a wide smile. "Oh, you're here!"

"Hey, Simon!" the Winchester's clan greeted and Simon quickly stepped to the side, holding the door open as everyone piled indoors.

"Samandriel's been so excited to see you all. He's been full of energy all day," Simon said as he led everyone through his home. His eyes fell onto Donna, Uriel, and Vali curiously after a moment and he smiled at him pleasantly. "And who are you three?"

"I…uh…I'm Vali," the black haired boy holding Gabriel stammered nervously. "I'm Gabriel's son." Donna's eyes widened. Gabriel's what? How did that work? She looked to Simon, but though his eyes were wide, it wasn't because he was shocked that Vali was the son of a little angel.

"Oh, so you're the kid Sam told me about on the phone," Simon said. He reached out, patting Vali on the back. "Well, welcome to the family Vali. It's good to have you."

A smile eased its way over Vali's face and Simon shared his smile before looking to Donna and Uriel next.

Donna shook herself out of her shock and grinned at the young man. "I'm Sheriff Hanscum, but you can call me Donna," she started. She held Uriel up a little higher in her arms, drawing Simon's attention to the little angel. "And this is Uriel."

"Well, it's nice to meet you both too," Simon said, stopping at a clear door that looked out into the backyard of his home. "I'm Simon. I'm one of Samandriel's guardians." He pulled open the patio door then and the sound of high pitched laughter filled Donna's ears. She followed Simon and the others outside to where two adults splashed around in a large pool with a speckle winged angel splashing between them. "Amy, Kieren, Samandriel!" Simon called. "Look who's here!"

The three in the pool startled and looked up. At first there was stunned silence and then there were suddenly two water soaked humans and one soaked angel wrapping the entire group up in a series of tight hugs.

"We missed you so much!" Amy shrieked in delight, voice slightly muffled by the shoulder her face was pressed against.

"We missed you guys too," Kevin croaked, struggling for breath. "But…uh…I'm kinda missing breathing more right now…"

"Oops," Kieren chuckled, pulling back and breaking the group hug. "Sorry."

"No problem," Kevin breathed.

"Who dis?" Samandriel questioned, causing some heads to turn. He had somehow managed to wedge himself beside Gabriel in Vali's arms during the hug fest. His little eyes roamed around the group as he waited for someone to reveal the black haired boy's identity. Though, finding out who Vali was was momentarily forgotten as Samandriel's eyes fell onto Uriel.

"U!" he cried, face splitting into a wide grin.

Uriel's wings fluffed up and he raised his hands. "Sammy!" he cried back.

Samandriel lept from Vali's arms then, causing several startled gasps from those around him. There was no need to worry though because Samandriel had his three big brothers looking after him. All three brothers clicked their fingers and Samandriel suddenly vanished and reappeared in Donna's arms. The little angel let out a happy squeal and wrapped his arms and wings around Uriel.

"Nice catch, fellas," Amy commented, ruffling Castiel, Balthazar, and Gabriel's hair. "Little guy's going to kill us if he keeps jumping off high places like that."

"You should have seen Castiel then," Bobby huffed. "Kid nearly cracked his skull open a number of times."

"I was a good flyer," Castiel pouted in defense.

"Aww," Balthazar cooed. He wrapped a wing around his brother. "Of course you were, Cassie."

"Now, now." Keiren held up his hands. "Stop picking on each other," he ordered. "I'm sure you guys are tired so while we get dried off and dressed why don't you all get settled in the living room and find something good on Netflix?"

"I CALL THE REMOTE!" The three bigger angels, Kevin, and Vali cried, all dashing and flying into the living room and leaving Uriel and Samandriel behind.

"Me too! Me too!" Samandriel cried while reaching out in the direction his brothers had vanished.

"Aww, don't worry, El, you can join them after we dry you off, okay?"

Samandriel stuck out his bottom lip in a pout, but nodded. "Okie dokie." He held up his tiny arms and Simon carefully scooped him up, water instantly soaking through his sweater.

Simon looked to Donna then, giving her a small smile. "Feel free to make yourself at home, Donna."

"Thanks, Simey-boy," Donna said with a large smile on her face. She turned away then and followed the sound of giggling and shouting to the living room. The angels were all on a pile on the carpeted floor of the living room with Vali seated beside them. In the two recliners of the room sat Kevin and Bobby, leaving one other chair, the rocking chair, and couch free.

Donna set Uriel down on the floor beside Castiel and Gabriel and then made her way back to the rocking chair in the corner. She stretched out her feet. She had been on them all day so it was nice to finally get to put them up.

"Pick something yet?" Kevin questioned, watching as the angels scrolled through the kids movies.

"Powerpuff Girls?" Castiel suggested.

"No, Minions!" Gabriel shouted, grabbing the remote from Castiel and clicking on the movie. Balthazar sent out a wave of grace, using it as a lasso to steal the remote from his brother. "HEY!"

"No Minions," Balthazar tutted with a shiver. "You know how I feel about those little yellow cheese puffs."

"Which is why we should watch it," Gabriel huffed, crossing his arms and turning his gaze back to the screen as Balthazar took over scrolling.

"I say Little Rascals," Bobby voted as Balthazar scrolled by the movie.

"Nah, that's not the original, Bobby," Donna informed him.

"Damn, never mind then."

Balthazar's scrolling through Netflix went on for another ten minutes then, giving Simon, Amy, Kieren, and Samandriel ample time to dry off, dress, and return to the living room.

"Still looking for something?" Kieren questioned while setting Samandriel down by his brothers and nephew. He walked over to the free couch then, grabbing Simon's hand and pulling him with. Amy went to the last chair in the room, taking it for herself.

"Yeah," Balthazar grumbled irritated as he clicked through another column of movies. "Can't pick."

"Well, how about you pick out your top three favorites and then we'll vote on it?" Amy suggested. That suggestion left them sitting silently for another ten minutes as Balthazar scrolled back through the multiple columns to come up with the three movies or shows they wanted to watch. In the end, they decided on Ultimate Spiderman, Home, and How to Train Your Dragon. The voting went faster though than the picking did. How to Train Your Dragon was instantly out since Uriel had never seen the first movie and Netflix only provided the TV show and the second movie. That left the voting open for Ultimate Spiderman and Home. With a room full of Marvel nerds, Spiderman won by a landslide.

With a quick click of a button, Balthazar started up the movie and the living room fell into silence except for the soft hum of the TV and the giggles and gasps from the angels settled together on the floor.

As the hours passed and the episodes of Ultimate Spiderman continued on, the angels and others in the room slowly started to nod off. They had lost Bobby in the first few minutes of the show. After the old hunter, Simon and Kieren started to get droopy eyed too. Eventually, the two gave up on trying to stay awake and said their good nights before heading to their room for some well needed sleep. Kevin drifted off an hour or two after they left along with Amy, leaving Donna, Vali, and the angels the only ones awake. In the end though, Donna remained the last one standing. On the floor, the angels were piled around a sleeping Vali, each snoring softly in a cocoon of multicolored feathers.

Donna smiled as she watched them roll and talk in their sleep. Uriel was curled up near Vali's neck, body covered by Castiel's slightly bigger black wings. He had a thumb in his mouth and a hand wrapped around one of Cas' feathers like it was a little baby blanket. The sight melted her heart and Donna found herself wishing she had met the Winchesters and their angels sooner.

The sudden squeak of the front door had Donna looking up from the sleeping angels. A tired Sam and Dean were piling through the doorway with heavy eyes and slumped shoulders.

"You two look like hell," she commented as they walked into the living room.

Dean huffed. "Thanks, Sheriff." He glanced at the pile of angels settled around Vali. "Glad to see someone's getting sleep around here."

"Hopefully that'll be us in a bit," Sam yawned. "So how'd it go? Everyone getting along okay?"

"Like pees in a pod," Donna told him.

"Good," Dean hummed. He bent over, carefully picking Cas up from his spot next to Balthazar and Uriel on the floor. When Castiel's wing disappeared from Uriel Balthazar's instantly stretched out, covering Uriel like they knew the angel was no longer being kept warm by the other angel's feathers.

Dean carried Castiel to the empty couch and flopped down on the soft cushions before curling up with the small angel. Cas' wings instantly reacted. They spread out and wrapped over the two of them like a very tiny blanket.

"One down, two to go," Sam chuckled. He nodded at Donna. "Why are you still awake anyway?"

"Oh." Donna blushed. "I was…uh…I was watching them." She waved at the angels on the floor. "They looked so…"

"Peaceful," Sam finished for her. He reached over his head, cracking his back. "You should really get some sleep though."

"So should you," she huffed.

"In a moment..." Sam grabbed an extra blanket from the chair Amy was sleeping on. He flopped it over a blanketless Kevin and then settled down on the other half of the couch Dean and Cas weren't hogging. "There," he sighed, eyes fluttering slightly as he fought to stay awake just a little longer. "Now I can sleep."

"Thanks for letting us in on your little family," Donna said softly as she watched the hunter begin to drift off.

"Don't mention it," Sam mumbled tiredly. "Family is Family. Don't matter if you're blood or not." His eyes closed then and his breathing evened out. Donna let out a sigh and turned her gaze back to Uriel to watch the angel sleep. She started to drift off too eventually, the soft breathing around her and the soft hum of the TV acting as her lullaby.

"G'night, Uriel," Donna whispered as her eyes fell shut. "Sleep tight, angel."
