Sampunzel

Anna was a master braider. She could do just about anything with almost any length of hair. Her favorite hair to work with; however, was Sam's. His hair was long and thick, perfect for doing all the fun braids Anna had seen on her mother's Pinterest.

Sam was always a good sport about it too. He let her do whatever she wanted when she came to visit him and the others. He used to want to watch Anna braid his hair in a mirror so he could see what she was doing but after having her braid his hair a number of times without issue, Sam began to trust her more and more with his precious hair.

Today, Sam was very trusting.

"Surprise me."

Anna clicked on a few pictures on the phone she had borrowed from her Mommy. Finding the one she liked, she nodded to herself and started carding her tiny fingers through Sam's thick hair. She had grown a lot since the Winchesters found her so braiding was a lot easier than it had been. Being in the body of a two-year-old had been nice at times but also difficult. Now she was older though, four or five years old to be exact in human years.

"Feels nice," Sam hummed and his eyes slid shut.

Anna smiled and peaked at his face, wondering if he had fallen asleep. His eyes moving under his eyelids told her otherwise though and she went back to playing with his hair.

"Anna!" Castiel stumbled into the living room with a basket in his hands. "Brought you the flowers you wanted!"

Anna smiled at her brother and waved him over. He set the flower basket next to her and Sam and Anna looked the flowers over, happy with what she found. The flowers were from Bobby's garden- baby's breath, carnations, daisies, and a few roses with the thorns knocked off the stems.

"Perfect, Cassie! Thank you!"

"Welcome!"

Cas rushed away then, no doubt heading back to the garden to help Bobby or maybe pick more flowers.

"Flowers, huh?" Sam hummed, his eyes still shut. "This'll be interesting."

Anna peaked back at Sam's face. "Do you want to see them?" she asked.

Sam shook his head. "I trust you," he answered.

Happy with his answer, Anna jumped right back to loosening the snarls from Sam's hair. That, of course, didn't take long though since Sam always took such good care of his hair.

"I'm going to start weaving now."

Sam hummed in answer and Anna got started. She picked up a few flowers as she did, weaving them into each strand. She glanced at the picture on her mom's phone as she worked, making sure she was doing the weaving right. She didn't want the flowers falling out too easily.

After a good twenty minutes, Anna stepped back and looked over her work. There was still a rose in the basket but Anna popped it behind her own ear, deeming that Sam had enough flowers in his hair already.

"Are you done?"

Anna hummed and looked over her work once more.

She nodded to herself. "Yep," she said. "Open your eyes."

Sam did as told and Anna handed him a mirror. The hunter took a peak, a smile instantly lighting up across his face.

"Anna!" he said. "This looks great!"

Anna blushed at the praise and held up the picture she had been copying from. It was a picture from her favorite Disney movie, Tangled.

Sam blinked at the picture and broke into a fit of laughter. "Rupunzel, huh?" he chuckled.

"More like Sampunzel," Anna corrected.

Sam rolled his eyes fondly. "You sound just like my brother." He scooped Anna up into his arms. "Let's go show everyone."

Anna beamed and hugged her arms around Sam's neck as he carried her out of the living room. Maybe the others would let her braid their hair too?

ArcticHuntress, you're right. If Anna's going to braid Sam's hair there should be flowers involved. Thanks for the request.
