(Here's the final part of the story. I'm sorry it took so damn long to complete. Hope it was good.)
The Timeless Writer: Here it is, hope you like it.
Noble Six: Thanks, I tried to make it meaningful.
Ultimatrix bearer: Title reference? Huh?...guess I don't recognize it. Yup, she did.
Death Fury: Thanks.
Epilogue
(Manhattan, several days later)
Spider-Man web slings through the city, looking around as the people walk about.
(Hey guys. After the battle with Goby things have started to change for the better…mostly. People are rebuilding, getting back to their usual lives. There are issues with what happened, as expected. Some civilians and the government are questioning the full matter of what happened, criticizing S.H.I.E.L.D.'s actions…I guess they have a right to do that.)
He continues to web sling around and then landed gracefully on a building's edge.
(I'm heading to the Triskelion, Norman and Harry are…being processed to be taken away…I'm not looking forward to this. Harry…what he did was wrong…but the reason he did it…I'm not sure I can blame him. Damn it.)
Spider-Man continued web slinging. After a few minutes he arrived. He went through the building and met Director Fury, a squad of S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers, and the cuffed father & son duo.
"Hey Harry." Spider-Man said.
Harry didn't say anything.
"I'm…I'm sorry for what happened…what you said…you were right…I failed you. I should've done more, I should've worked day and night to make sure that Goby never should've come back…I'm sorry…both of you…I'm so sorry." Spider-Man said, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Harry didn't say anything, but his eyes twitched. Director Fury looked from Spider-Man to the father and son.
"It's not your fault, Peter…yes…I remember your identity…we both do…I'm so sorry for what happened…this is all my fault…if I had been more careful…maybe this wouldn't have happened." Norman said.
"Maybe…but it's too late for that…I'm sorry." Spider-Man sighed.
"We believe that the Goblin serum is gone from both your genetic codes…but Doctor Conners will do regular checkups on both of you to make sure that your alter egos don't return." Director Fury stated.
"Good." Norman replied, nodding.
"Alright, it's time to go you two." Director Fury stated then nodded to the guards.
The leader of the squad nodded in return. He motioned for Norman and Harry to follow. As the guard and the duo started walking, Spider-Man approached Harry. He takes off his mask.
"Harry...if you ever want to talk…I'm always here." Peter said.
"….I'm sorry Pete…." Harry whimpered.
"It's alright…you just need help…and you'll get it…I'll make sure to visit regularly." Peter said, putting a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Harry nodded.
"Come on, son." Norman said, his voice calm.
Harry nodded. The group left. Director Fury turned to Peter, who is putting his mask back on.
"This city owes you a debt that can never be repaid, Mr. Parker. You and the rest of the Academy saved this city along with the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. You fought against extraordinary odds, battled your most ruthless foe, and came back from insanity. You all have made me proud. Well done." Director Fury stated.
Spider-Man's eyes went wide.
"Wow…uh…thanks…chie….Director…Thank you, Director Fury." Spider-Man stammered, the shock in his voice never leaving.
Director Fury smiled and nodded. He then walked off.
(Wow…there's something you don't see…or hear very often.)
Spider-Man walked through the Academy. He saw the other members of the Academy there, except for White Tiger. They all hugged Spider-Man.
"G-Good…t-to…s-see…you all…t-too…y-your…ccr-cccrushing me…" Spider-Man grunted.
They all ended the hug. Spider-Man gasped for air. Some of them chuckled.
"How are you man?" Power Man asked.
"Hoping my spine straightens." Spider-Man grunted, twisting his upper body.
"You know what I mean." Power Man chuckled.
"I don't know…I'm not sure how to feel." Spider-Man replied.
"We saved the city, isn't that cause for celebration?" Squirrel Girl asked.
"First the city needs to rebuilt before that." Spider-Man answered.
"Really? I could use a nap." Nova grunted.
"Yeah…that does sound nice." Spider-Man half chuckled.
"Our bodies and souls do need time to heal from what's happened." Iron Fist added.
"Yeah…whatever the case…I'm just glad that madness is over." Iron Spider sighed.
The group nodded in agreement.
"I just wish this never happened." Spider-Man sighed.
"Yeah, it was a hell of a nightmare." Cloak said.
"You all call my home crazy. The Savage Land may have its dangers, but this place attracts things that are real horrors." Ka-Zar stated.
Zabu grunted, seemingly agreeing with Ka-Zar.
"Well, I hear something good came out of it." Dagger chuckled.
"Huh?" Spider-Man asked.
The group looked at him, bewildered.
"Tiger and you, man! What did you think she meant?!" Power Man scoffed.
Spider-Man blushed madly under his mask.
"Oh! I…uh…she...we…I mean…" Spider-Man stammered quickly, anxiety filling his voice.
"Can't say I blame you for that response." Rhino said.
"Yeah…" Spider-Man sighed.
"You better go find her man…before she starts hunting down you." Power Man advised.
"Good idea, last time she did that it did not end well…and part of me fears it might even be worse…" Spider-Man gasped and whimpered.
He left.
He is web slinging across the city. He makes a call to White Tiger.
"Hey Web Head." White Tiger chuckles, answering the call.
"H-Hey…T-Tiger…I…I was wondering where you-" Spider-Man stammered, trying to speak coherently.
"I'm at your house." White Tiger interjected.
(Whoa.)
After several minutes he made it to his house. He walks to his room White Tiger is sitting on his bed, each hand holding something.
"Glad you could make it." White Tiger chuckled, grinning under her mask.
"Yeah…uh…hey…where's Aunt May? Did she let you in?" Spider-Man asked nervously.
"I actually snuck in. I know my ways into places, Web Head. May left you this note." White Tiger answered, holding out a paper note with her left hand.
Spider-Man takes it. He reads it: Peter, I'm so glad you're safe. What you and your friends did…saving this city and all those people…and stopping that maniac…you've made me so proud…you cannot understand how much it means to me the young man you've become…Oh, also, I will be out for a few days. Phil is out in Washington to work with the government there about helping rebuild here. He invited me to come along and I accepted. There's plenty of food, don't worry about that. You rest and relax while I'm gone, you understand? I love you, Aunt May. P.S. I'm sorry about what happened with Harry, give him my best wishes when you see him next.
"Wish she would've called and told me that." Spider-Man sighed.
"Oh well." White Tiger chuckled.
"Tiger…I'm…I'm sorry that I hurt you…when…when I was a Goblin…I…what I said….what….what I did…" Spider-Man stammered.
"Don't even try it. That wasn't you. The Goblin corrupts who you are. It makes you something you're not. It altered your mind and heart, making you the opposite of who you are now. That wasn't you, not the real you. The real you is good at his core." White Tiger replied.
"T-Thanks…Tiger…" Spider-Man stuttered.
"I should know. You've shown it in more ways than one." White Tiger replied, revealing the other thing she's holding: a white flower.
"Wait…is…it can't be…did…did you really hold onto one?" Spider-Man gasped, surprise fueling his voice.
"What can I say? I'm sentimental." White Tiger replied.
Spider-Man smiled under his mask.
"You're the best, Tiger." Spider-Man said.
"I know. C'mere." White Tiger chuckled as she pulled off her and his masks then pulled him into a ferocious kiss.
Ava moaned as she delved into the kiss, her hands grasping at Peter's head and shoulders. Peter gasped, Ava's passion surprising and overwhelming him. Ava pushed Peter onto his bed. She chuckled and grinned as she crawled on top of him.
"Maybe I was wrong about who was in charge." Spider-Man gasped.
"In here, I'm the boss." White Tiger chuckled then attacked his lips with hers.
The next morning, Peter woke up to a kissing and nibbling on his neck. Ava chuckles as she continues when she sees him wake up.
"Damn…last night…best night of my life…how many…how many times did we…" Peter gasped.
Ava kisses him, moving a hand onto his chest (which is somewhat covered in cuts from Ava's nails).
"Not enough. We've got a few days; I'm taking you as many times as I want." Ava rasped in-between kisses.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Peter chuckled, stilling gasping.
"Not like you'd have much choice. But you listen to commands easily." Ava chuckled, grinning.
"With this, I love taking orders from you." Peter replied, smiling.
"Good boy. Now, let's not waste anymore time." Ava chuckled.
Ava ferociously kissed him.
THE END
(I want to thank everyone who read, reviewed, favorite, and/or followed this story. I'm truly grateful for the support for the story. Again, I'm so sorry it took so damn long to finish. Again, this is story will not have a sequel, sorry. For USM, I will continue with the A New Breed saga and I will be considering working on stories for other fanfictions as well (Ready Player One, Animoprhs, maybe Assassin's Creed and Supernatural (not sure on those two yet)); though I'm not sure when I'll get to them. Eventually also, my True Heroes saga will crossover into the USM though I'm not sure when that will be. Start reading that saga if you wish, though I warn you the first two books…especially the first, are badly written. I hope you all enjoyed The Last Laugh. Once again: thank you. Bows in respect*)
