p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Well, my friends. It's time. The time most of you have expected if you even remember this fic. This fic is officially discontinued./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"I really did try to find the inspiration to continue this, but the truth is my writing style and tastes have changed too drastically to ever come back to it. So I'll give you as much of an ending as I can, in (what I remember to be) the general plan for what was to come in the story. I admit, what I do remember is hazy and I know I've forgotten most of it./p

p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Over the next month or so after that first study session, Brittany, Quinn, and Santana would have done their best to gain Rachel's trust by stopping the bullying and telling her about their lives. Brittany – the one with two loving dads in this tale – always invites everyone to her house after school, and these sessions would become a safe haven for Rachel. Slowly, the other three convince her she had a choice of leaving her father. At the end of Rachel's time in school, she leaves her father and all 4 girls plan to move to new york. Santana applies to Law School, the girls help rachel with auditions, Brittany gets into a dance school, and I don't think I had a plan for Quinn but imagine success. Brittany's dads and Santana's parents' money helps them with panning their next chapter./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"At the same time, Shelby shows up. Unbeknownst to Rachel, her birth mother had been searching for her since birth. Shelby's father had given the twins up for adoption while his daughter had been sleeping off the stress of giving birth and she's been searching for them for 16 years. She finds Rachel and they reconnect. Shelby is heartbroken to hear about the loss of one of her daughters, but is overjoyed that Rachel is willing to give her a chance. She, along with Brittany's dads, becomes a champion of the 4, and offers them a place to live in New York – where she currently lives – while they get on their feet. They accept./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Now, here's where you all would have loathed me. This had been planned almost from the very beginning, and it involves a major death – one of the four. Don't read on if you don't want to. I very well may not have chosen to actually write this part, but it had been in the back of my mind since the start./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Rachel's father, driven even more insane by the humiliation the loss of his daugther brought on him, shows up at Shelby's temporary housing where the four are living, with his police issued gun in tow. He's drunk and in a murderous rage. An altercation ends up with him shooting both Brittany and Santana just as the rest of his squad arrive. They arrest him and Shelby, Rachel, and Quinn rush the two wounded girls to the hospital. Santana recovers quickly, but Brittany slips into a coma and eventually passes away./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"There were a few reasons I had for doing this – the main one was to bring the three girls closer together. Brittany had, up until this point, really been the one holding them all together. She would have – if she had lived – been the moderator between three very hot headed individuals, which would have weighed on her mental health and in the end broken them up. Her death brings Santana, Rachel, and Quinn closer together and creates a stronger bond after the grief lessens, and each of them moves on -because- of the strength she had given them./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Eventually they do make the move to New York, after Rachel's father is sentenced to prison for 2 life-time sentences, without the possibility of parole. They end up living a happy life, and adopt a daughter who they name Brittany./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"-/p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"So that's it. Truth is, if I had the love of Glee that I did back then, I'd probably scrap this and try and write it in my current style, but I don't. I really am sorry to those who hoped I'd continue this./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"I will most likely be deleting this in a few months (if I get around to it), but I did want to give you guys who wanted it some closure./p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;" /p
p style="margin-bottom: 0in;"Thanks for reading./p
