AN: This chapter will contain some backstory, a very condensed version of Kingdom Hearts X, please ignore the fact, that I don't mention everything, this serves the purpose to give everyone context on the X-Blade and the first Keyblade War. As a result it will be very short, minus the AN, less than 100 words. I apologize, but I wanted this and the bit at the end to stand alone.

Hikari began her story:" What I'm about to tell you is a combination of secrets only told to Keyblade master's and legends so old no one knows if they are true. The only reason I even know some it, is because when I still trained to be a keyblade wielder I was fascinated by our orders history and studied it intensively. Keep in mind however that a lot of this knowledge was lost so an accurate recount is almost impossible.

It is said, that in ancient times the various worlds as we know them today, were a single united world. This world and its inhabitants were governed and protected by an entity known as Kingdom Hearts. Some say, that Kingdom Hearts was sentient, continuously cycling the hearts of the dead, reincarnating them repeatedly, but no one knows if this is true. Anyway, Kingdom Hearts was protected by an artefact known as the X-Blade, and for the record, it is spelled with an X, symbolizing the letter kye, meaning death. It is said, that to obtain the power of Kingdom Hearts someone would have to posses this legendary blade.

The first Keyblades were formed in its image, pale imitations of the blade. Those blades were given at first to five individuals, apprentices to a figure known as the master of masters, which later became known as the foretellers, five powerful figures chosen to lead other keyblade wielders, uniting them in so called guilds, to protect the world. Their names were Aced, Ava, Gula, Invi and Ira. It is further said, that the master gave a copy of a legendary book, known as the book of prophecies to each of the five foretellers which foretold the events to come, probably how the foretellers got the name. The master also gave each of the five a special role, meant to preserve the balance between the five guilds. Then the master left the city they called home, daybreak town. Supposedly, one of the Foretellers Keyblades contained an artefact known as the master's eye, allowing him to observe the happenings in the city, but that is again just speculation.

In his absence the five unions maintained peace, while also competing for the role of the strongest guild. This balance of power kept the peace safe for years, however unease and suspicions began to arise, when the five foretellers began to suspect a traitor within their ranks. There was also the fact that the book of prophecies they each possessed was lacking an important page, supposedly depicting a fate shaping event known as the keyblade war page the traitor supposedly possessed and was using this knowledge to lead the other Unions towards this event. Amid all of this, two of the five foretellers did something the masters forbid them from doing, they formed an alliance between their unions. This however only increased the tensions between the unions, especially with sign of the darkness they had been combating together growing stronger and finally, the tension spiked and became open hostility when two of the foretellers came to clash with each other. With the fortetellers split and one of them heavily wounded it was only a question of time until the keyblade war started. However, one of the fortetellers gathered keybalde wielders under himself to keep out of the fight and when the dust would settle remain intact.

The following events are only barley preserved. We don't know who the betrayer among the foretellers was, we don't know who declared war and we don't know who was the one who kept out. The only thing we know for sure is the following. In a place that later became known as the keyblade graveyard, a barren world littered with the dead keyblades of those that participated in the war, keyblade wielders clashed all attempting to obtain the X-Blade and claim Kingdom Hearts. In the struggle the X-Blade was at least temporarily obtained, but in the end was split apart, 13 pieces of pure darkness and 7 of pure light. With the Destruction of the X-Blade Kingdom Hearts vanished, leaving the world unable to defend itself against the darkness. The world eventually was consumed by the darkness. There was no logical explanation for how the world reformed in its current form."

This left everyone in silence having to think about this revelation. It was Kairi who spoke up first: „That means, if Xehanort is trying to obtain the X-Blade, does that mean he wants Kingdom hearts?" Hikari answered: „I'm afraid so but it is utter madness. To obtain the X-Blade it is said, that the forces of Light and Darkness must clash at the Keyblade Graveyard, seven of Light thirteen of Darkness, just like the remains of the original X-Blade. However, such a war could easily destroy the worlds once more and there is no guarantee the worlds would itself again. Still, there is something I'm missing here. How does Ventus fit in Xehanorts Plans? What is his role in all of this? What role does this Vanitas play?"

At that point Ventus spoke:" Xehanort believed that there was a different way: Forces of Light and Darkness in equal amounts clashing against each other. But as I said before the games will explain everything!" Before Sora could communicate this, two letters appeared out of thin air one in front of him and one in front of Hikari. She quickly grabbed the letter and read it out: „Thank you for supplying this backstory, I actually forgot to include it in the games. Please refrain from speculating further, Lightbringer, everything will be revealed in time!" At the name Lightbringer Hikaris voice faltered. She frantically shook her head silent muttering:" It's impossible. You can't be behind this!"
