Chapter 3: Mysterious Singing

Ezzy follows the singing toward the forest, on a path she has never been before. Its enchanting, beautiful and is male in tone. As she continues on the path, a castle appears through the thick brush and trees. Three towers are seen, and one of those contains the singing voice of the enchanting male.

Ezzy stores the location of the castle in her memory as well as writing it on parchment, written with a note: "Dearest brother, if something happens to me on this adventure, I leave the small amount of belongings I own. I also leave you the right to take my place within the guild. I will be meeting you in person to discuss this further. -E"

She tucks the parchment away and heads back into Radiam. Having saved up quite a deal of money she decides to upgrade her armor and weaponry as well as purchase a sturdy mount. She has gained rumors as well that as a person gains strength so does the mount. Ezzy sends for Casper to meet her that evening in a private room at the inn.

Casper comes with quick haste as he has learned his sister is preparing for some kind of adventure or battle. That evening Ezzy details everything she has seen and heard.

"It can not be true my dearest sister, they were only legends or rumors. In a distant land known as Ethereal there was a dark castle owned by a hideous witch. She enchanted a young god by singing beautiful music to him and they fell in love. Eventually she agreed to reveal herself to him, the night she found out she was with child. Once the spell was broken, and the god realized what had happened, he threw himself to the underworld never to be seen of or heard of again. The witch became more and more hideous and evil, as the baby grew her evil grew. She died while giving birth to a baby boy, who would be about your age now, Ezzy. Had this been true. Which based on what you are saying, it is."

They contemplated what this meant, was the man a prince, a god, or evil like his mother. Ezzy vowed to train stronger and find out more details when she could. Until then she lie awake all night.
