Author note: I know I've not updated this in FOREVER, I apologize. I have recently started playing LOTGD again, and figured now is better than never. Will hopefully be adding as the winter goes on.
Chapter 4: Training and Strange Places
Ezzy worked hard, nights at the bar, days training in the guild halls, and fighting whatever creature dare cross her out in the depths of the forest. She had saved enough gold to purchase a small townhouse near the lake she loved so dearly. Every night she would sit for a few hours after work, listening to the unnatural, but beautiful singing she was sure hailed from Ethereal.
Casper was on his way to becoming a high ranking officer in the King's Guard, a place his father would have earned had he not been taking by the blasted green dragon. Casper was beginning to catch on to why Ezzy was training so hard, and he made a vow that one day too, he would join Ezzy on her adventure.
As the seasons began to change, Ezzy decided it was time to try and track the noises from Ethereal and seek the castle which lay in the midst of enchantment, wonder, and awe. She quickly penned a letter to her dear brother, letting him know she was off, and if he had time away, where she would eventually meet. Her ultimate destination, was a far off land known as Folklore, which to most was just that, a fairytale told to young ones in the eve, to help keep their imaginations fresh, and thoughts flowing.
At the first frost, Ezzy packed her Steel Sword, Iron Shield, and food she would need to get to the outer reaches of the forest, and the town of Folklore said to lie beyond. Ethereal, was a fairytale castle according to the local lore, nothing but a myth created by a powerful and evil enchantress. Ezzy on her noble and faithful steed, Kraken, was determined to sort out truth from fairytale, or die trying. Hopefully taking down the cursed green dragon along the way.
