Soon the Dark Horse Tavern, normally bustling with ruffians, was swarming with soldiers, wives, and children, all trying to explain the great light appearing over folkloke, and radiating through the land. Among the flow of people, Ezzy spotted her friend, Rosalyn.
Rosalyn came from very simple beginnings, much like Ezzy and Casper. However, Rosalyn was raised by the Barkeep, her Uncle Fox. Ezzy introduced "Rosie" to Casper a few years before, in which they took a near instant liking to one another. A wedding of simple measures was planned for the ot so distant future, however due to recent events, it appeared that would need to be placed on hold.
When she was not assisting her uncle or Violet and Ezzy, Rosie trained in combat. Although not quite as strong as Ezzy, Rosie proved a formidable oppenent to anyone or anything that dare cross her path. Rosie had heard about the quest Ezzy was to embark upon, and begged her uncle to allow her to accompany Ezzy. Knowing Ezzy's journey would take her far from Radiam, and never return, Fox forbade Rosie from going.
Two days had passed since Ezzy left, and that evening a huge glow appeared over Radiam, coming past the Edge of Town. In the distance two women wearing soldiers uniforms, much too large ran into the Tavern. Fox, fearing this may be bad news, or some locals having a bit too much fun, tried sending Rosie away so he could chat to these young...lads?! Rosie, disappointed, obliged to go help Violet, awaiting the juicy details provided once the meeting was done.
The "women" were transformed by a magic which was never seen before. The town enchanter sold only potions which gave the apperance of being the opposite gender. Word was sent out to Camelot, to draw Merlin, the Master of Magic. As far as the "juicy" details of the story, Rosie learned her bethroed, Casper, was no where to be seen.
Fox, knowing Rosie would have heard everything, "If only that damned Violet would learn to keep her mouth shut," walked over to Rosie's room and knocked. Rosie opened the door and attempted to speak, however was cut off by Fox. "Rosie, I have dedicated my entire life for your well-being, and so I would not loose you as I have your mother and father. I was wrong however to prevent you from accompanying Ezzy. From the town stables, I purchased Shadowfax, one of the fastest steeds known. I also stopped by Mighty E's to upgrade your weaponry and armor."
Rosie set off as quickly as she could pack, trying to hold herself together, and hold out hope for her love. Shortly after midnight, she arrived to the Dark Horse Tavern. Ezzy was preparing to head upstairs, and head off in the morning. "Rosie?! What are you doing here?" Sitting down, Rosie explained about the light, and Casper missing.
