When the pair gets back into the car, R rests his hand on Juliet's knee; his eyes are the mirror image of sympathy.
He starts the car and pulls away from the store happy to be gaining some distance from that heartless man.
She glances at him then looks at her lap, fresh tears running down her face.
"I feel stupid." Juliet says breaking the silence running her fingers through her blond locks.
"Juliet, you are not stupid, you are a beautiful person who expected your father to be happy for you." R says glancing her way then back to the road.
"That's why I feel stupid; I thought maybe knowing that I'm having a girl would change his stupid hatred." Juliet says her voice tight with anger and hurt.
"That's not stupid, that's caring, you gave him a chance to revoke his hatred, and he failed. We will get past this love, our happiness and love is stronger than his hatred." R says his voice light and gently.
Juliet looks at her lap, and wipes the tears falling from her face.
She pulls out the picture of her ultra sound and traces the small figure.
"This is my family now." She mutters looking up at R, who's distracted with driving she smiles a slight smile.
All of the tension and mean comments run off her like water off plastic.
She realizes she doesn't need her father, she has an incredible boyfriend, some great friends and a beautiful little girl on the way.
Straightening up she pushes all the negativity out, she turns on the radio and relaxes.
Dug my way out blood and fire, Bad decisions that's alright. Welcome to my silly life.
