The boney starts shattering the glass on the hatch of the van.
Juliet shoots him a terrified look.
That's all it takes, he opens his door and steps out.
He finds the biggest rock he can lift.
"Hey bonehead!" He yells attracting its attention.
It stares at him through hallow sockets, for a moment R's spine feels like it's been replaced with ice.
Then its right in his face, he slams the rock as hard as he can into the cranium of the walking skeleton.
A primal instinct takes over, he finds himself unable to stop smashing the boulder into the enemy.
He smashes its cranium structure until it's a small pile of bone and yet he keeps swinging.
Until he feels a hand on his shoulder, he looks up to see Juliet above him and finds himself unaware of when he got on his knees.
He stands up and backs away a little afraid of himself.
"We are okay R." Juliet says taking his hand.
"Sorry to interrupt your moment, but help please." Nora says sounding desperate.
The couple makes their way over to the driver's side door.
"You push we will pull?" R says taking a grip on the frame.
The door is forced open, Juliet doubles over a sharp pain runs through her lower abdomen it lingers for a few seconds then goes as quickly as it came.
"You okay?"
"Yea, I think I just strained too much pulling on the door."
R opens the door to the seat behind Nora, "Here sit."
She obeys without argument.
"Is anyone's phone working?" Nora says taking a look at her smashed phone.
R reaches in his pocket wincing at the pulling in his positively broken ribs and pulls out shards of what used to be a phone.
"I don't have mine; I left it in our apartment." Juliet answers biting her lip.
"Guys where is that little girl?" Nora asks looking concerned and upset at the same time.
"I don't know it's like she disappeared." R says looking around; they aren't far from the road.
"She probably ran the way we came." Juliet says.
"Want to go look for her?" Nora asks R.
"I'm coming with." Juliet says standing.
"Are you sure love; you were in pain just now." R replies stroking her arm.
"Yea, our daughter is probably just playing soccer with my bladder." Juliet replies.
The group gets a few yards away when Juliet stops and makes a pained noise.
"That is most definitely a contraction." Nora says seeing her friend's pain.
R lets her lean against him her head on his chest and shoots a terrified glance at Nora.
"We need to get help."
