Chuckie laid in his bed, curled underneath the covers. His heart was beating faster then usual and his tears were staining the pillow.
"Allen, Mommy is here to pick you up"
Chuckie shot out of his bed without a sound, his body shaking violently.
He has been having these nightmares for the past two days, ever since that woman called to claim him. Chuckie shuddered at the thought of the woman who tried to raise him, she did a poor job, almost horrific, scratch that, she DID do a horrific job of trying to raise him. He broke out in a cold sweat as the memories came of his time with them.
He was falling. "Chuckie!" Kimi exclaimed when she burst through the door. "I heard you scream. Are you OK?" She asked softly as she sat on the end of his bed. Before he could answer her their parents burst into the room. "Chuckie." His dad said, out of breath. "Are you OK?" Kira asked him as she and Chaz sat on beside Kimi.
Chuckie nodded and pulled his legs up against his chest. "Did you have another nightmare?" Kimi asked in a whisper only she and he could hear. Chuckie nodded before tears came to his eyes. "Oh Chuckie." Kira said as she hugged him. Chaz got up and sat on the other side of Chuckie, before completing the family rolled down Chuckie's face as he cried into the hug.
Chuckie didn't leave his sister's side. It was a saturday so that wasn't to hard.
He had a shift at the Java Lava that he refused to skip, he didn't want to think about his kidnappers, and what better way to keep his mind off them, then to work? His friends and sister would be there too, doing their homework and hanging out.
"Hey Chuckie, is this supposed to look like this?" Phil held out his math homework.
"Phil!" Lil hit him lightly on the shoulder, "you could have asked Tommy."
"Why? Chuckie is the best out of all of us in Math, so I asked him." Chuckie rolled his eyes, and plucked the paper from Phil's hand, feeling better since he wasn't thinking of Them.
'It's missing a decimal point here.' Chuckie signed out. Phil blinked and went through the signs to himself.
"What?" He finally gave up and looked to his sister. She just shook her head and went back to her homework.
"Tommy?" Hopeful eyes turned his way.
"He said that you are missing a decimal point here." Tommy pointed to the right spot and Phil's eyes widened, the spot was toward the beginning, all his work was fruitless. He quickly erased his work and started over again.
The day went pretty much the same way, until after the lunch rush.
The place was practically empty, only they were left. Tommy and Kimi were in the corner on one of the computers, while the twins and Dil were helping restock in back.
Chuckie was cleaning the equipment behind the counter, when the door opened.
Everyone turned when they heard the blender break.
Chuckie was white as he looked at the to figures at the door.
Kathy and Hank both had guns and were pointing them at Tommy and Kimi.
Hank moved over to the employee door and blocked it with a broom, keeping the door from opening. Pounding could be heard as Chaz, Dil, and the Twins tried to get through.
"Allen honey. Let's go. If we don't go now, there will be traffic." Kathy motioned for Chuckie to leave, but Tommy and Kimi moved forward, Kimi went for the gun, aiming a high kick and it went flying. Tommy went low and tackled her. Chuckie jumped when the gun went off. The bullet hit the window, shattering it.
People were shouting outside, running away from the sound. Hank practically roared as he aimed his gun at Kimi, letting two shots off.
Kimi screamed as a bullet pierced her arm. Chaz and the other were yelling for them to open the door. Hank moved forward and grabbed Chuckie's arm.
"Why she wants you, I don't know. You are a worthless piece of shit." He muttered as he dragged Chuckie to the door. Kathy had somehow knocked Tommy unconscious, and was dragging him out the door.
"What are you doing with that one? We have one already." Hank asked when he saw Tommy.
"Oh, haven't you ever wanted twins? I know that they don't look alike, but they can be fraternal." She gave him these big puppy dog eyes. Hank groaned as he lifted Tommy up and shoved him into the trunk with Chuckie. The lid slammed shut, rousing Tommy.
"Chuckie?" Tommy hissed as he spoke, his throat hurt, he lifted a hand to it and felt a warm wetness.
"Shhh." Chuckie nearly hissed. He pulled his friend closer and ripped his apron off to press it to the wound.
"'Ts alrigh." Chuckie's own voice was rough with disuse.
The two curled together as they drove away from their home.
Hope it is okay. I have more planned soon.
