This chapter is based on a review left by Lila Ice in December of last year on Chapter 52: Cameos!

"Now I really wanna see a night where North forgets to lock his door- and Jack takes advantage of it."

Read that chapter before this one so it all makes sense!

Ever since his friends crashed his date, Jack had gone to each Guardian's house/island/palace every night since to see if he could get them back. But each time, he found they had locked the doors/put protective defenses up so he couldn't get in.

But he knew they'd stop eventually. And when they did, he was ready.

Tooth was first. She hadn't really thought Jack would do anything, so after the first few nights, she ignored his warning and left her palace open. When she awoke the next morning, her fairies complained about how cold it was. Jack had made it snow, and it took hours to melt, so Tooth and her fairies had to stay inside for most of the day.

Sandy was second, mostly because he was too tired to lock anything. Now, Jack didn't want to mess up the island so he mostly focused on the man (spirit? immortal?) composed of dreams. When Sandy got up to spread dreams, he heard music playing. A childish song called 'Here Comes the Sandman' was playing, but he couldn't find the source. It was pleasant enough to hear…..until Sandy realized it kept repeating…..again and again for hours.

Needless to say, Sandy and Tooth were quick to set up their defenses once more. But North? He had quit soon after Sandy. Jack figured he'd give the guy a break. Then North didn't do it for a second night. Followed by a third night. Which meant Jack had to do something.

'This'll teach you,' Jack thought as he finished setting up his prank. He looked at his father sleeping and almost felt guilty. Almost.

North didn't mean to stop locking his door. He had just forgotten. After a long day of inventing, tinkering, taking care of lists and presents and other Christmas-y chores, one tends to only think about sleeping instead of a certain Winter Spirit's threat.

'I know there is something I am forgetting,' North had thought as he pulled the blankets over him as he lay in his large bed. But try as he might, he just could not remember. 'Oh well. Must not be important.'

North mentally facepalmed as it dawned on him what he had meant to do. Of course, the only reason he remembered was because there were small legos covering so much of the floor no one could even see the red carpet.

Above him was an empty bucket. Empty only because when North sat up, his head bumped into it and poured ice-cold water on him. So shivering and wet, North had put a foot down to stand up….only to hiss in pain as lego met skin.

In the midst of the legos was a machine filled to the brim with snowballs, ready to shoot. On the wall was frost that spelled out the words "Jack Frost was here" though North would've known anyways who was behind this.

"Ya didn't," Bunny said in between laughter. Tooth could hardly breathe as she giggled at North shouting, half in English and half in Russian. Sandy, who knew Russian (as did Jack) could hardly stand as he heard a mix of curses and pleads coming from his friend.

"I did. I warned them," Jack smirked as he leaned on his staff. He would help North, he wasn't mean after all. But he'd wait awhile. Long enough for him to learn what the others had already.

Mess with Jack Frost and expect there to be serious consequences. Because NO ONE went behind Jack's back without him knowing. EVER!
