This has a gift idea requested by sparklehannah. I wanted to put it in a chapter and wanted to keep writing about the last chapter so I figured why not kill two birds with one stone? Although, I wish there was a better saying. Review if you know of one that doesn't involve killing birds!
It had been a week after Jack (finally) helped North out of his room. Though a little miffed at being laughed out, North commended Jack's prank and agreed not to spy again.
"Thanks for letting me borrow your legos, Jamie," Jack said as he returned his believer's toys. Jamie had known about the entire incident and had even helped Jack come up with his pranks.
"No problem. As long as you got the pictures you promised me and Soph," Jamie replied. Jack nodded and handed the printed out photos including: North's room when it had been Jack-ified. And two photos of North struggling to not step on the legos. And photo of North clearly yelling at Jack as he was looking at the camera.
"Santa mad?" Sophie asked, startling the two boys as they didn't hear the small blonde enter the room. Jack ruffled her hair and laughed before responding.
"Don't worry, kid. He was pretty cool about it. Get it? Cool?" Jack laughed again as Jamie groaned while Sophie looked confused.
"No dad jokes!" (Jamie)
"I don't get it!" (Sophie)
"What's this?" Jack asked Wind. She had no answer for him except a 'shrug'. After playing with the Bennett children, Jack had returned home to the Pole for a good night's sleep. Now that he had gotten his revenge, the immortal teen had no need to check North's room. But on his bed sat a box wrapped in blue and white wrapping paper.
Jack hesitated to open it, as it might be North's attempt at a prank, so Wind blew fiercely until the wrapping had come off and the box was open. Inside, was a small metal device with colorful buttons. Besides it was what looked to be an instruction book.
In the flap of the cover was a piece of paper, with North's large, messy handwriting.
Dear Jack,
I was very impressed with your prank,
So I got you something to help.
A sound effect machine.
Phil made it and said the book would help.
Sincerely,
Dad
AN: This was kind of short, but I thought it would be a nice ending for this arc.
Sparklehannah - "For a gift idea, how about a sound effect machine for future pranks."
