Hey people! How are you? Hope y'all are doing alright. So, this arc will be another five chapters or so. Again, let me know if you have any requests, for this story or one of my ongoing Heroes of Olympus one. (*Totally not advertising my other stories*)
Jack: Uh-huh.
Kitkat: Let me be me!
Jack wasn't entirely sure what was going on. All he knew was Mother Nature had called an emergency Seasonal Meeting and that he had to go to Gaia's garden.
When he arrived, he found Ash and Scarlett already there, though River the Spirit of Summer had yet to arrive. (If you want to know who Ash and Scarlett are, you need to read Bunny's Springflower and Autumn's Orphan).
Gaia came out of her cottage and embraced Jack the second she saw him. He returned it before hugging his sisters. River chose then to show up.
He was a decent guy, nice and good at his job. He didn't have the stereotypical blonde hair and blue eyes or surfer clothes as one might expect. No, instead he had jet black hair, amber eyes, and wore country-style clothes.
"Hey Frosty. What's going on?" River asked as he came over to the group. Jack shrugged but Gaia spoke before he could.
"Manny has informed me that a great evil that he and the Guardians trapped centuries ago has escaped. While you may not have heard of him, Old Man Winter is a being to be feared, even more so than…..Pitch Black."
Jack and Scarlett locked eyes. They knew from personal experience just how bad the situation was if Gaia actually spoke her father's name.
"So why tell us? I mean, we will do what's needed but this seems like it is better suited for the Guardians," Ash stated. Gaia shook her head slowly.
"He has grown stronger and I believe nothing can hold him back. Nothing, that is, except Sambala, the Snow Queen. Manny had no power to seal her away safely, and unfortunately, she was captured. You four alone can save her, for she is trapped in a place only the Seasonal Spirits may enter. Here is a map, as well the story behind this mess," Gaia handed two scrolls to Ash (the responsible one) before sighing.
"If I could, I would do it myself so you wouldn't have to. Since you do, I suggest you leave first thing tomorrow."
Each Seasonal looked at one another and nodded in agreement. Gaia smiled before gesturing for them to carry on (meaning she was kicking them out.)
"It'll only be for a few days. I'll be back soon," Ash smiled at her boyfriend's worrying. Each Seasonal went to tell whomever they needed to about their trip. Jack and Scarlett both knew, so those two had just gone to tell the Burgess kids. And River was a drifter, so he was packing his stuff.
Which meant Ash was the only one really leaving somebody behind. Or rather, somebunny. She grabbed his hand (paws?) and smiled a reassuring smile.
"I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself."
"I know, I just….sheila, ya don't what ya're getting into. I've dealt with 'im myself and...he's powerful. He knows just what to say and do to get ya vulnerable. Promise me ya will try to be careful," Bunny pleaded. Ash nodded solemnly before standing on her tiptoes and kissing him sweetly.
"That's sickening. And how dare she think she gets to be happy and in love? If I can't, no Seasonal can. Sorry, Bunnymund, but don't bother leaving the lights on. She won't be coming home anytime soon."
AN: Okay, if you guys really don't wanna read my other stories, then skip this arc because trust me when I say you will most likely get lost and confused.
Kitkat Out!
