Sandy was not a happy Sandman. His nephew's life was in the hands of his worst enemy: Pitch Black. When North gathered everyone (except Gaia and Scarlett who had stayed behind just in case Jack managed to get out of Tristan da Cunha) in the sleigh and headed towards Pitch's lair, he felt a sinking feeling in his stomach that could mean no good. Unlike North, Sandy had no clue what that meant.

"I don't like this." Tooth whispered.

Sandy just had to agree with Scarlett. Pitch wasn't exactly the most helpful of immortals. But Sandy had never dared go into the Dream Realm. Yes, he did create dreams. However, going into the Dream Realm was another story. It was a place where anything and everything was possible.

Which might sound like a good thing. It isn't, though. The reason no one ever returned is that they didn't want to. Life seemed better and easier. People got the things they always wanted. So why would they want to leave?

Pitch wasn't fooled though. No one knew why exactly he came back. Maybe he knew things were too good to be true, or maybe he just wanted to accomplish his dreams by himself. Ironic that the Nightmare King had dreams of his own, isn't it?

"We're here. It'll be fine," North stated. Sandy shook himself out of his thoughts and followed them as they walked toward the patch of dirt above Pitch's lair. "Hmm. Where is the entrance?"

"Don't need it," Bunny replied as he stamped his foot against the ground. The Guardians slid down. Sandy had always thought the Pooka's tunnels were like a roller coaster. He loved it and had his arms raised as he slid down into Pitch's lair.

The one thing he hadn't been expecting was to see a young woman with golden blonde hair, pale pink eyes, and a white dress decorated with black butterfly-like wings. Though he'd only seen her a few times, Sandy instantly knew it was Cupid. But why was she dining with Pitch Black?

"Let me get this straight. You, my enemies, want me to help save another one of my enemies from the man I betrayed and who has it out for me?" Pitch asked.

"After everything you've done, you owe us! So yes, you will help us since you are the only one to come back from the Dream Realm. If you do this willingly, we'll leave you alone as long as you stay out of trouble.

"Otherwise we'll drag you with us and then leave you to deal with Rumplestiltskin by yourself. And we all know what happens when someone backs out of a deal with him." Tooth flew right in Pitch's face as she spoke, jabbing his chest with each sentence. While Tooth could be sweet and loving she was terrifying when angry.

"Of course we'll help you. Won't we?" Cupid put a hand on Pitch's shoulder and gave him a knowing look. Pitch looked back and forth at the two women and sighed in defeat.

"Let's get going then, shall we?"

"This is it?" Sandy asked aka pointed at the opening of the extinct volcano known as Edinburgh Peak. (Used Wikipedia for my information.) Pitch nodded and gestured for the others to go first. After a few seconds of hesitation, Cupid walked over and jumped into the volcano, quickly followed by the others.

Bunny was the last to jump. His tunnels were one thing, but it looked like a long way down.

'How do I always get roped into these things?' Bunny thought before he closed his eyes and jumped.

The Dream word wasn't exactly what Tooth had been expecting. She'd thought it'd be this dark and dangerous but it was nothing like that. The sky was pink and everything seemed so nice. Why on earth didn't more people go to the Dream Realm?

"Toothy, come on!" North exclaimed. Tooth faltered for a second before flying to catch up with the others. That's when she saw it. One of those stereotypical villain castles that were all black with lightning bolts and storm clouds surrounding it.

"What is that?"

Jack had noticed something very odd. Every time he wished for something, whether it be something to eat or something to play with, it appeared in his room. He even got that clock he wanted. It didn't tell him the date or whether it was daytime or even the timezone, but he at least knew it was five o'clock somewhere. (Review if you know that song!).

'Where am I?' Jack thought for what seemed like the millionth time. As much as he hated to admit he, Jack had to wait to be rescued. In the meantime, well, he did have an Xbox and a whole shelf of video games he had wished for from earlier.

AN: Tried to make this long. I'm going to hold off on arcs after this one and do some more one-shots.

*Flashbacks of other Guardians.

*Guardians and their commentary on their movie.

*Guardians reactions to AU'S like my genderbent one.

*Sequel to Wooden Beam

I like your idea, Winxgirl, and I'll do that eventually. Maybe when it's actually closer to Christmas.

Kitkat Out!
