The Ice Phoenix

Chapter Seven

The next morning I came out of my bedroom, stretching out my arms and yawned. I was surprised to see that Silver had the frig door open pulling breakfast items out. How she got the eggs out, I don't know. I made a slight noise so I wouldn't startle her. My new friend is constantly amazing me.

"Good morning Silver. Did you have a good sleep?" I asked as I stopped beside her. She nodded as she made a trilling noise. I took that as a good morning. "Let's get breakfast over with and head to the guild. I need to find a job; I'm getting low on jewels."

Half an hour later, I had the dishes cleared up and we headed out to the guild. Silver quickly and gently picked me up and it wasn't long before we were at the doors of the guild.

As I stepped inside, Silver remembered to shrink down to the size she was yesterday as a few guild members who were already there, greeted us warmly. I hurried up to the bar and greeted Mira as Silver hopped on to the counter.

"Good morning you two. You look refreshed and ready for a new day." Mira replied, greeting the two friends.

"Good morning Mira. Yes we are. Do you know of any jobs that I can do with one hand? I'm getting low on jewls." I asked.

"Yes, I believe I do have one for you." Mira answered, and turned to the shelf behind her. After a moment she turned, smiling. "Here it is. The requester needs someone to help them with inventory and delivery. And they are willing to pay you a good price."

"Sounds good to me. Maybe they will let Silver help out with the deliveries." I answered. "Would you like that Silver?" At Silver nod, she jumped on to my shoulder as I took the now stamped request from Mira and headed out the door.

AN: I know this is short, but I can't think of anything else to put in and post this. If you can think of any suggestions to add or, or for the next chapter, I would love to hear them. If I use them, let me know if you want your name mentioned.
