The first time Jack visited her was right after the Easter incident when he got his memories back. His parents and his sister had been buried in the local Burgess cemetery. The gravestones were a little worn but you could still make out the names carved into the stone.

He'd sat down in front of Pippa's grave and started talking. Jack didn't remember everything he told her. Just that he told her stories about his adventures over the years, how he officially met the Guardians, defeated Pitch, and all the stuff that happened afterward. He was probably there for hours.

The second time, it was after he met Scarlett. Jack didn't really have anyone else he wanted to talk to about her so he went to Pippa. Not that he was complaining about his girlfriend. He just wanted to tell his sister. He could almost imagine her reaction; Pippa would have squealed and demanded to know everything. She was like Tooth in that aspect.

The third time, Jack didn't go alone.

He hadn't meant to tell them. After all, it was kind of private and something that Jack didn't really want to share with anyone. Mostly because he knew it might bring up some unpleasant memories for his fellow Guardians.

So he didn't say anything. But he didn't have to. Sandy knew right away that something was off. He waited a little while before he said anything. By say, of course, I mean to sign in ASL.

"Nothing is going on," Jack replied coolly. Get it? Coolly because he's a Winter- nevermind. Sandy cocked an eyebrow and Jack cracked. He could never lie to the golden man, not when he was caught off guard. "Okay, fine."

And that's how Sandy ended up accompanying Jack to his sister's grave.

Tooth found out by accident. She'd been looking for Jack and went in his room to find a small portrait of a little girl that looked like Pippa from Jack's memories. A small slip of paper rested beside it with messy handwriting and a bit of frost on the corners. She couldn't quite read it but it seemed to be an address for a cemetery and a date.

I'd be lying if I said that she did not go find Jack and give him a big hug once everything clicked. I'd be lying if I said that, while she didn't know what the date meant exactly, Tooth said she wanted to go with Jack for moral support. I'd be lying if I said that Jack didn't tear up. Okay, enough with the "I'd be lying" bit.

That's how Tooth and Sandy ended up accompanying Jack to his sister's grave on the anniversary of the day she died.

"Hey, Pip. I want you to meet some friends of mine, Tooth, and Sandy. This means I win our bet that I'd meet the Tooth Fairy first," Jack laughed sadly and felt tears behind his eyes.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Tooth stated as she rested her hand on the young boy's shoulders. "We've heard a lot about you. All good things, of course"

Tooth knew what it was like to talk as though the deceased was with her. After her parents died, she'd talk to a portrait she had whenever she needed comfort. So when Jack started speaking to the gravestone, it seemed natural to her.

Sandy had seen his friends, Tooth, North, and Bunny grieve their loved ones in different ways. He knew what it was like to miss someone you cared about. That's why he just stood by Jack in silence. Ironic, huh?

"Thanks for coming," Jack's voice was barely above a whisper and tears were streaming silently down his face. He hadn't realized how hard it would be. But he'd missed everything. He'd missed her growing up, getting married, having kids whose descendants would be two adorable Bennett children. It hurt.

Later, he would deny crying in Tooth's arms on the ground while Sandy hugged his side. At that moment though, he could've cared less what anyone thought. The only thing running through Jack's mind was that he was glad he hadn't gone alone.

AN: Kind of sad, but I've been meaning to do this one-shot for a while. I really wanted to include this one. I haven't done it yet, right? *goes to check previous chapters* Okay, I'm pretty sure I haven't.

Pitch: You don't even know what all you've written?

Kitkat: This story has been up for over three years. Cut me some slack.

Jack: And you still haven't finished this yet?

Kitkat:...so, the next chapter shall be the last one. No clue what I'm doing yet.

Bunny: Should probably figure it out.

Kitkat: Probably. Hope you enjoyed! Until next time….

Kitkat Out!
