A Fresh Start

Chapter Seventy Six

Jodi pulls the door closed behind as William sits down at his desk, closing his eyes he sighs softly. He wasn't really sure what to expect in the next few weeks, but he knew that he was making the right decision. Reaching for the newest copy of the treaty with Mexico he is about to begin going over it when Jodi buzzes him. "Yes." He says, holding the button down.

"Sir, I have the president of Mexico on line one."

"Thank you." William replies, pushing the button for line one. "Mr. President." William says, laying the contract down on his desk.

"How are you, Your Highness?"

"I'm… I'm good. Thank you for asking and for taking the time to speak with me. I know that you are very busy."

"You're welcome. I'll come straight to the point, the announcement you made last evening came as quite a surprises, your Highness. It also leaves me with a lot of questions. We're in a very precarious position right now."

"I realize that and that is why I wanted to assure you that I will stay with this until we reach and agreement."

"I appreciate that, but what happens if this transition comes before we have an agreement?"

"Again, I understand your concern. But this will not be a fast process. The royal council has to vote on whether to continue the monarchy or to put the decision before the people. So, it can take up to a month or more before any decision will be made. And in that time, I hope we would be able to reach an agreement for this treaty."

"And you will be head of state during the whole process."

"Yes."

"Okay, did you receive the revisions?"

"Yes, I was looking over them when you called."

"Do you have any changes you want to make, or that we need to discuss?"

"I had just started going over them so I can't say if I have any changes. Also the Parliament will have to look this over as well and then I will get back to you, if there are any changes that we wish to make." William says, as Jodi opens his door.

"Okay, I'll be waiting for your call."

"Thank you. We'll speak again soon." William says.

He hangs up as Jodi says. "Sir the Lord Chancellor is here."

"Okay, send him in." William says, standing up

"You may come in, Lord Chancellor." Jodi says, turning back to the outer office.

Lord Darcy walks in as William walks around his desk, holding out his hand. "Lord Darcy." He says,

"Your Highness." He replies, taking William's hand

"Thank you for coming." William says as they shake hands.

"You're welcome, Sir."

"I'm sure you've heard about the announcement that I made last night."

"Yes sir. You realize what this means for the country, Sir. We've just begun to stabilize from your assuming the throne in your brother's place. You've abdicated Sir and you have no heir. Your brother Richard is not eligible to rule and Edmund is in prison, and after the last time he was on the throne, he is barred from ruling again. That means…."

"That means we put it to the people and let them decide."

"Again, Sir."

"Yes, again. I have faith they will make the right decision."

"Alright, you want them to decide. What if they decide to keep the monarchy?"

"Then Lord Ainsley is the next in line to the throne, he will be offered the position."

"And what if he refuses?"

"Then we will move down the line till we find someone to take his place. I personally believe that the people will decide to try democracy again."

"So, that will be their choices, the monarchy or democracy."

"Yes."

"Alright, I'll have to speak to the royal council about this."

"I realize that, but you must impress upon them whether they choose to put this before the people or not, I have abdicated. I can no longer rule. And I personally recommend letting the people decide."

"I'll be sure to inform them of your recommendation."

"Thank you." William replies, standing up again. Following him, Lord Darcy turns to leave when William says. "Also let them know that I did not make this decision quickly."

"I will, Sir." He replies nodding as he leaves the office and William sits back down.

Jeffrey is lying on his side, facing Sam when she wakes up. Moving to her side, she watches him sleep as the sun begins to peek through the blinds on the window above the bed.

After a few seconds, she reaches over and brushes his hair back from his forehead. A soft smile flashes across his face as he sighs softly. Slowly moving her hand down his face she softly caresses him, feeling the warmth of his breath on her hand as she runs her fingers over his mouth.

Moving closer to him, she slowly moves her eyes down his face and she wonders what he is dreaming about. Lightly running her fingers over his mouth again, she leans in to kiss him. He sighs softly and moving closer she deepens the kiss, playing with his lips until he opens his mouth.

He can feel her beside him. "Beca." He mumbles, returning the kiss as he reaches for her.

Breaking the kiss, she leans back and looks up at him. "Hi."

"Hi." He replies. "Are you going to finish what you started?" He asks, as she leans back down and kisses him again.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she deepens the kiss, as she moves to straddle him and he groans softly when their bodies touch.

Suddenly he feels her pulls away along with the cooler air as she runs out of the bed and for the door. "Sam." He says, groggily, reaching up to wipe the sleep from his eyes as she disappears through the door.

He soon realizes that she's not coming back, pushing the covers back more he gets up and heads downstairs. He reaches the last step as she flushes the toilet. Stopping outside the bathroom, he waits for her to open the door. When the door opens, he asks "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for that to happen." She says, walking up to him.

"It's alright, was it the…?"

"Yes, morning sickness, it came on so fast."

"Well, come on. Let's go on back to bed. I'll hold you and see I can get our little one to settle down." Jeffrey says, reaching for her.

Leading her back upstairs, he helps her back into the bed and then he lies down beside her as she moves over. Lying down on her back, she looks up at the ceiling. "I woke up and I was watching you sleep, wondering what you were dreaming about. So I reached out and touched your face and the feel of your breath on my hand. You looked so at peace laying there. I wanted to make you feel…"

"Feel what?" Jeffrey asks, brushing a strand of hair off her cheek.

"Loved, I wanted to show you how much you mean to me."

"I know."

"I didn't mean to get sick." She says, reaching up to wipe a tear away.

"Hey, shhh, it's alright." He says, pulling her into his arms. "I know you love me, and I know how much I mean to you. Shhh." He whispers, holding her.

"Not exactly how you thought your morning would go." Sam says, looking up at him.

"I actually thought I was dreaming, until I felt you pull away and then the cold air from when you pushed the covers back."

"Was it a good dream?" She asks, looking up at him

"Ummm, very good." Jeffrey says, softly kissing her forehead.

"Do you still?"

"Only if you want to." Jeffrey replies, as she moves over onto her side.

Looking up at him, she moves closer to him as he leans in to kiss her. Putting his arm across her waist, he pulls her closer as she deepens the kiss. Rolling to his back, he holds her tightly, bringing her with him.

She buries her fingers in his hair as he slowly moves his hands down her back, pulling her against him. They remain there for several seconds, giving and taking until she leans back and looks down. "This is how I wanted you to wake up."

"Only like that." He asks, his eyes a light green.

"No." she says, leaning over to kiss him.

After a few seconds, she moves away from him and he reaches to hold on. "Let me." She whispers, as he lays back and looks up.

Moving to straddle him, he watches as she slowly moves her eyes over his face and down his chest. Placing each hand at his shoulders, she leans over him. Rising up, he tries to kiss her, but she pulls back. After a couple seconds, he tries again and she pulls away again. "Sam." He whispers and she smiles softly. "Don't tease me, I want…."

"I know what you want." Sam whispers, leaning over to kiss the side of his neck, nibbling softly.

She works her way up his neck, caressing him, nibbling and running her tongue along his ear before moving down his neck. She feels him responding to her, his body growing beneath her, hardening as she moves down his neck to his upper chest.

Sitting back, she smiles when he groans softly. Reaching for the hem of his t-shirt, she pulls it over her head as he gasps softly. She tosses it to the floor as he reaches out, cupping her breast as she closes her eyes and moans softly. He begins to play with her nipples, caressing them until they become harden nubs pressing against his hands.

Reaching for her, he pulls her to him. Taking her breast into his mouth, he gently caresses her as she lets her head fall down, laying it against the pillow for a few seconds before she reaches for him. Laying her hand on his chest, she moves down him, lightly caressing him until she reaches his nipples and she begins to play with him, caressing him as he continues to love her.

"Jeffrey." She moans, pulling away from him.

Reaching for her hips, he holds her against him, pressing their bodies together. She can feel his erection, pressing against her through his boxers. "Baby, I want to…."

"I know." Sam whispers, reaching for the waistband of his boxers and tugging them down as he arches his hips to help her.

When he's free he sighs softly, settling back against the mattress as she pulls his boxer off and tosses them to the floor, before sitting back between his legs. Slowly moving her eyes over his body while he watches her, he sees her lick her lips and he feels intense sparks of desire rush over him as he reaches for her.

Leaning over him, she again begins to lightly kiss his body, nibbling on the heated skin beneath her lips. She stops for a few seconds, licking softly and playing with his nipples until they press against her mouth and then she moves on. Lightly kissing his stomach and lower abdomen until she reaches the thinning hairline below his navel, looking up she watches him for a few moments.

"Sam, please." He groans, reaching for her and trying to move her along.

Laying her hand on his thighs, she leans over him. He can feel the heat of her breath caressing his body. Hot waves of desire course through him as he reaches for her while clinching the sheet beneath him. "You're driving me…." He stops for a second to catch his breath and she looks up at him through her lashes.

"How am I driving you?" She asks softly

"Baby, please. I need…."

He doesn't finish as she lightly licks his erection, slowly running her tongue around the tip of him. "Sam." He groans, arching his back and pushing for her to take more of him.

Opening her mouth, she takes him inside. Caressing him as he begins to thrust against her mouth, she plays with him up until the point that he begins to pull away, looking up she catches the look of desperation in his eyes, kissing him one last time, she releases him. Moving over him, she guides him inside her. "Jeffrey." She gasps, closing her eyes as she sinks onto him.

"Sam." He groans, laying his hands on her hips and holding her tightly, his fingers leaving white marks on her skin where he's holding her

Slowly she begins to move, rocking back and forth. After a few moments, he begins to thrust against her sliding hips. Placing her hands on his chest, she begins to rise and fall, taking him deep inside her each time while he brushes against that secret place inside her.

After several seconds, her breath catches before hot waves of release rushes over her, tightening her body around his, caressing him from the inside. Those final caresses bring him over the edge, holding her hips tightly. He thrusts for the final time before hot waves of passion course through him.

Looking up, she smiles softly as she leans over him. Kissing him as he wraps his arms around her, rolling her to her back, he begins to thrust again. "Ah, Sam." He groans.

"J." she whimpers, closing her eyes and arching her back. Reaching for his driving hips, she holds onto him tightly, slowly rolling her hips with his thrust. "J." she cries, as again hot waves of passion rush over her.

A few more thrust and she feels him stiffen as he releases all of the passion burning inside him. When the last wave overwhelms him, he collapses in her waiting arms.

Wrapping her arms around him, they hold each other until he leans back and whispers. "You can wake me up anytime like this."

"Umm, even with the morning sickness?" she asks, holding him.

"Even with the morning sickness." He says, lightly kissing the side of her neck before moving to lie beside her.

After about ten minutes, Jeffrey glances at the clock as Sam says. "You have to go."

"Yes, I've got some things I need to take care of."

"Okay." She says, releasing him.

"Go back to sleep." He says, pulling away from her.

She nods as he pulls the covers up and then she watches as he walks out of the room. For a few moments, she listens to the water running downstairs before she falls asleep again.

When he walks back into the bedroom, he glances at the bed and smiles when he sees her sleeping. Walking quietly into the closet, he gets dressed and before he leaves, he walks over to the bed. Leaning over, he kisses her cheek before he whispers, "I love you and thank you for this morning. I'll see you this afternoon at the doctor's office" and then he leaves.

Walking into his office about thirty minutes later, he sits his briefcase on the floor as Stacey walks in behind him with a cup of coffee. "Good morning." He says.

"Good morning." Stacey replies, sitting the cup down on his desk. "You have a meeting with Mr. Lewis…."

"Josh?" Jeffrey asks, looking up at her and not really wanting his morning to be ruined by dealing with Josh's attitude.

"No, Billy Lewis."

"Ah, yes. Sam's office, okay, when is that?"

"In the next ten minutes."

"Here are the files I took home last night. I finished most of them, but I still have a few more things to go over with the company that Richard submitted yesterday."

"Yes Sir."

"I need you to find out some information for me."

"Yes Sir."

"I need a list of hotels or bed and breakfast's for Niagara Falls area. It's for my honeymoon."

"I'll get right on that."

"Thank you." Jeffrey says, as Billy walks up to his door.

"Excuse me." He says.

"Billy, come on in." Jeffrey says, as Stacey turns to leave.

"Mr. Lewis, would you like a cup of coffee?"

"Yes, please." Billy says, nodding as she leaves the office.

"So, did you get to look at the house?"

"Yes, it's going to be and extensive job."

"You were expecting that."

"We did a complete inspection of the house and property." Billy says settling back in a chair across from Jeffrey as Stacey puts a cup of coffee before him. "Thank you." He says, smiling at her.

"You're welcome, Mr. Lewis. Will that be all?" She asks, looking at Jeffrey.

"Yes, thank you Stacey." Nodding she turns to leave while Billy watches her. "You made a complete inspection." Jeffrey says, bringing Billy's attention back to him.

"Yes, the property is in good shape except for needing the usually lawn maintenance and slight landscaping in a few areas. The real work will come with the actual house. It's a three story house, and I assume that the office will be on the first floor, with the living space on the upper two floors."

"That's correct."

"We will also have to take out some of the lawn for a parking area either to the side of the house or the back of the house."

"Sam will want the side of the yard taken for that."

"So besides the obvious jobs, such as the porch and broken windows, we did a complete inspection on the inside. You're going to have to replace the wiring in the house completely. There are too few outlets for the house, especially for what it will be used for. Also the wiring looks to be about thirty years old."

"Alright, so what will you do?"

"Lewis will sub-contract that out."

"Okay."

"There is extensive damage to the floors both inside and outside of the house and all of them will have to be replace, but before we do that will have to replace the roof. "

"Okay."

"The heating and cooling system will need to be replaced as well."

"Okay, so bottom line."

"Bottom line, I would recommend gutting the whole house and doing a complete renovation."

"How much are we looking at?"

"Somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 maybe more, depending on how much product and materials cost, and on what kind of decisions you make for furnishings. Lewis will take the best offer from the sub contractors, but the house needs to be completely rewired as I said, that includes new circuits, circuit box and wiring through out the whole house. The plumbing also needs to be replaced and updated. Some of the pipes may have been compromised outside because of tree roots.

If you're planning to live in the house, we will have to go in and reinforce the upper floors of the house to make sure it can support the weight of the appliances that will be added as well as the bathroom fixtures, depending on what you want to add to the space, if you want to use normal fixtures, or add a hot tub to the master bathroom for example, we will have to go in and reinforce the floor to handle that weight. The good news is that we will not have to do anything to the foundation, its solid."

"Okay. When can you get started?"

"Within the next week, we're finishing the project up in Laurel Falls and when that job is finished I'll have the crew moved to this site and begin work that is if you want Lewis…."

"You have the job Billy. You had it from the beginning."

"I'll have the crew over there by the end of next week at the latest."

"Okay."

"So are you getting nervous?" Billy asks, taking a sip of coffee.

"Not in the least."

"Not missing your wild and loner days, even a little bit."

"No, Sam was and is the best thing that has happened to me. I would have been with her before if the accident hadn't've happened. I regret the time we lost, but I'm so happy I have her back again."

"Good, if she means that much to you, hang on to her."

"I will."

"So, where are you taking her?"

"For the honeymoon?" Jeffrey asks, standing up.

"Yes." Billy says, standing up and walking to the door.
"I'm looking into that right now." Jeffrey says, following him to the door.

"I'll have the men at the house by next week and we'll begin work."

"Thanks Billy, and don't…."

"I won't say a word to her." Billy says, reassuring him.

"Good." Jeffrey says, standing in the doorway as Billy walks out. "Stacey could you bring me the American Limited file." Jeffrey asks.

"Yes, sir." She says, standing up.

Jeffrey goes back into his office as Billy leans against Stacey's desk, watching her walk across the room to the filing cabinets. "So what are you doing tomorrow night?" Billy asks, as she looks for the file.

She turns to look at him, slightly surprised at the question. "I don't have any plans." Stacey replies, pulling a file out and closing the drawer.

"I thought maybe we could go out to dinner, maybe go to a movie, or something."

"You're asking me out?"

"Yes, I believe I am." Billy says, smiling.

"I don't…."

"It's dinner, maybe a movie or dancing. I want to get to know you." Billy says, standing up.

She looks at him for a few moments before she replies. "Alright."

"Good, I'll pick you up at seven."

"No, I'll meet you."

"Alright, towers or company?"

"Company, and seven's fine."

"I'll see you there." Billy says, walking towards the door.

When he walks out of the office, she looks back over her shoulder for a few moments before she remembers the file in her hand and she walks over to Jeffrey's door. "Sir, you wanted the American Limited file."

"Yes, thank you. Have you gotten information about Niagara Falls?"

"I'm still looking Sir."

"I'd like to have something by the end of the day."

"Okay."

"Oh, and Sam has another doctor's appointment for this afternoon so I'll be out of the office for about an hour or so."

"Yes Sir."

"Thank you." Stacey leaves the office, pulling the door closed behind her as Jeffrey picks up the file.

After leaving City Hall, Billy goes back to Lewis. He is walking into his office when Wanda walks up to him. "I've got the report for the legal Department.

"What have you found out?" He asks, walking around his desk and sitting down. "

"I've gone through every file in Lewis Construction's legal department, and here is a listing of every file, the project it's related to and where it is currently located."

"Okay." Billy replies, taking the report and glancing through it. "These are all the files for Lewis Construction, for every job we've done."

"Yes."

"What about Lewis Oil?"

"When Spaulding took over Lewis Oil we no longer have access to those files."

"Of course, so this is all the files we have."

"Yes Sir."

"You actually saw these files."

"Yes."

"So, the file…." Billy remembers that Wanda is in the room before he finishes what he was about to say. "Okay, thank you Wanda.'

"Yes Sir." She says, getting up and leaving the office."

Picking up the phone, he dials Reva's number. After a couple rings, she picks up. "Hello."

"Reva darlin, it's Billy."

"What's up?"

"Are you busy for lunch?"

"Ah, well. I'm helping Cassie with the wedding. Why?"

"I just got the report back from Wanda about the files from Lewis's legal department."

"Did she find anything?"

"It's what she didn't find."

"Okay."

"I am Lewis right now and I don't really want to go over this here."

"Hang on." Reva says taking the phone away from her ear she turns to Cassie. "Are you going to need me much longer?"

"No, I don't suppose I will. I've got a few more dresses to try on, why?"

"Billy wants to have lunch, Lewis business."

"Okay, should I be…."

"No, this is sort of personal."

"Reva."

"I promise I'll tell you about it."

"Alright, I'll look at these dresses and I promise I won't make a decision without you being here." Cassie says when Reva starts to say something.
"Alright." Reva says, putting the phone back to her ear. "Billy."

"Yes."

"I can meet you for lunch."

"Okay, Towers, say 12:30."

"I'll be there."

"Alright, see you then." Billy hangs up."

About an hour after Billy leaves, Jeffrey leaves for Cedars. Sam is pulling into the parking lot as he is getting out of his truck. She walks over to him. "Hi." She says, stopping beside him.

Turning, he stops for a few seconds before he replies. "Hi." Putting an arm across her shoulders, he pushes the button to lock the truck on his key chain.

"Are you okay?" She asks, putting her arm around his waist. She read the shock and the desire that flashed in his eyes when he saw her.

"I'm fine, why?"

"Because, you looked shocked when I walked up to you."

"I was." He replies, holding the door for her. Walking inside she takes his hand as they walk over to the elevator." You were shocked, why?"" She asks as he pushes the button for the elevator.

"Yes."

"Why?" Sam asks, smiling as she looks up at him because she knows why.

Leaning over, he kisses her before he whispers "You know why, and if we could, we would, right now."

"We have…."

"To see Dr. Sedgwick, I know." He says, stepping back as the elevator doors open. Nodding he holds the door for the ladies and Sam before he steps onto the elevator and then he moves to stand beside her. After a few seconds, she looks over at him and then she moves over beside him.

Lifting his arm, she moves in beside him as he looks down at her. "You look amazing in that." He says, looking down at the shorts and tank top she's wearing, along with the sandals she bought on her first trip to Springfield.

"Thank you." She says, looking up at him.

Leaning over, he lightly kisses her. Moving closer to him, she reaches up to wrapping her arms around his neck, burying her fingers in the hair at the back of his neck. They don't realize the elevator has stopped until the doors open and two nurse step on, catching them and smiling as Jeffrey releases her and Sam moves to stand beside him.

One of the nurses presses the button for the fifth floor as the other glances over at them and Jeffrey smiles at them nodding to them. "Sir." They say, as the elevator stops and Jeffrey takes Sam's hand when the doors open and they walk off the elevator.

"You realize we're going to be all they are talking about at the nurse's station." Sam says, looking up at him.

"I don't care." Jeffrey says, putting his arm across her shoulders and pulling her to him.

"I won't be surprised if that's not in the Journal by the morning."

"Again, I don't care. You're mine, and I don't care if the whole town of Springfield knows or likes it." Jeffrey says authoritatively, opening the door to Dr. Sedgwick's office.

Sam smiles at him as she walks into the office. "Yes sir." She whispers, as he walks over to the reception desk. He returns a few moments later.

Sitting down beside her, he takes her hand. About ten minutes later, Dr. Sedgwick's nurse calls. "Sam Whitley."

Sam stands up, followed by Jeffrey. Placing his hand on her back he follows her to the door. They are walking down the hall to the exam room when the meet Ava.

"Dad, hi." She says, stopping

"Hi." Jeffrey says, hugging her. "I haven't talked to you in a few days. Are you doing…?"

"I'm fine. I'm just here for my check up."

"And the baby?" Jeffrey asks

"It's just fine. Are you okay Sam?" Ava asks, turning to her."

"I'm great." She replies.

"Did you talk to William?" Jeffrey asks.

"Yes, it's going to be along process, but he's sure he made the right decision."

"Have you seen…?"

"No, I haven't seen Olivia. I can't think about her right now."

"Okay, but you're okay?" Jeffrey asks

"I'm fine." Ava says, hugging him.

"Good, come by the loft." He says

"I will, I promise." Ava says, stepping back.

"I'll see you later." Jeffrey says, following Sam into the exam room as Ava starts back to the front of the office.

"If you'll change into the gown, Dr. Sedgwick will be with you shortly." The nurse says, as Sam climbs up on the table.

Sam nods, reaching for waist of her tank top as Jeffrey sits down in the chair and the nurse closes the door. When Sam's undressed and in the gown she sits down on the exam table, watching him for a few seconds. She asks. "What are you thinking about?"

"Ah, Ava." Jeffrey says, looking over at her and smiling.

"She seems to be doing fine."

"She does, but…." He pauses for a few seconds.

"But, what?"

"I don't know. There's something different. I hope she doesn't feel like I'm mad at her about Olivia and the wedding invitation."

"She knows that you don't blame her."

"Does she, she hasn't been around that much since then."

"I'm sure she's busy and that's the reason she hasn't been around."

"Maybe." Jeffrey says, but he still sounds like he's worried about something.

"What? What are you thinking?"

"I don't know. I just know some thing's there, something's different."

"Well, I'm sure when she's ready to tell you, she will." Sam says, as Dr. Sedgwick walks into the room.

"Sam, Mr. Mayor." She says.

"Call me Jeffrey." Jeffrey says.

"How are you doing?" Dr. Sedgwick asks, nodding at Jeffrey's comment as she turns to Sam.

"I'm fine."

"Have you had any problems?"

"No, nothing out of the ordinary."

"The morning sickness."

"It's there, but it's not overly intense. I mean I have my…."

"I understand, Sam." Dr. Sedgwick says, sitting down on the stool by the table. "Well then, I think we need to looks and see how you both are doing, if you lay back."

Sam lies down on the table, as Jeffrey gets up and takes Sam's hand. Dr. Sedgwick performs a quick exam and after a few minutes, she rolls away as Jeffrey helps Sam to sit up. Tossing her gloves into the trash, she turns to Sam. "Everything looks good. You're eating properly?"

"Yes." Sam says

"Good and you're taking the prenatal vitamins, staying away from caffeine."

"Yes."

"She's had a few dizzy spells." Jeffrey says.

"Nothing that isn't normal." Sam clarifies, looking at Jeffrey.

"It is normal for women to have dizziness during the beginning stages of pregnancy. Your body is still adjusting hormones, and your bodies changing."

"Will it pass?" Jeffrey asks.

"Usually it does."

"It's not been serious, nothing that hasn't been abnormal." Sam says.

"I'll have my nurse come in to draw some blood. We'll check your levels, but everything looks to be progressing normally."

"Okay." Sam says, as Dr. Sedgwick stands up. "I'll send the nurse in and after she takes the samples, you can leave and be sure to reschedule your next…."

"I will." Sam says.

Dr. Sedgwick leaves and a few minutes later her nurse returns, taking the blood samples, she leaves followed by Jeffrey and Sam after Sam's changed back into her clothes. After stopping at the front desk to schedule her next appointment, they leave.

"Do you feel like lunch?" Jeffrey asks, as they leave the office.

"Sure." Sam says, walking out behind him.

"Towers or Company?"

"Company, I want one of Buzz's Buzz burgers." Sam says, taking his hand as they walk down the hall.

Pushing the button for the elevator, they wait for it to come and when it does, Jeffrey lets her on first and then follows behind her, pushing the button for the first floor as Sam again moves to the corner, with Jeffrey standing beside her. This time no one gets on with them.

They are leaving the hospital and as they are leaving, Olivia is coming in. She sees them but Jeffrey and Sam doesn't see her. She stops for a few seconds and watches them as they walk to their cars.
