Gaara's birthday is January 19, which is more than a month away from today.
Naturally, because he is the Kazekage, plans for his birthday are being prepared more than a month in advance . . . you know, to adjust to sudden changes and to work out a proper security detail, that sort of thing.
There's going to be two parties for Gaara next year.
There's going to be the official birthday celebration planned by the Council.
Yes, that's the one with all the foreign dignitaries and nobility from all across the lands. They'll be gathered at the Kazekage building shmoozing and mingling like only how old people could do.
And then there's the one being planned by me and Kankuro, which will basically be where all of our closest friends will be gathering.
And yes . . . that'll be the fun one.
Like seriously, is any party planned by the council ever fun? NO!
Also, Kankuro suggests we try to get Gaara to do something crazy during the party we're planning.
He says we should consider it Gaara's punishment for wearing his hair so slicked up and straightened so much these days.
After being tired of just looking at Gaara's hairstyle every day for these past couple of weeks . . . I'm actually warming up to the idea.
