Chapter 35
Rosalie POV
We rekindled our passion all night long, until the sun started to peek over the heavy cover of the trees. Emmett got a call from his father, saying he needed to speak with him urgently—so he left me at home while he dealt with whatever business that his father was unwilling to discuss over the phone.
I was feeling loads better, if not a little sore after all the loving Emmett had given to me through the night, just thinking about how much he did to me made me blush a furious red that burned my skin from my neck to my forehead.
He rebounded back like a young foal getting his first taste of sex, as if he had never touched me before, and he was both gentle, and rough at different times as he seemed to possess different sides to himself that had demanded to be saited within him.
I cooked myself breakfast in Emmett's overly done kitchen, full of stainless steel appliances, I was craving eggs like a mad woman.
My hand unconsciously wandered to my stomach, and when I noticed that I was holding it with a gentle hand, I was too far wondering about baby within me. Scrambled eggs are the only way eggs sounded appetizing at the moment, sunny-side up made me want to throw up in the toilet from the mere thought of the gooshy center.
And along with a side of toast, I made my own breakfast for once…for once not fearing that I would get beaten and raped by the man I had known putridly as my 'father' for so long.
The phone started ringing, just as Emmett's sister, Alice breezed in with her usual grace and beauty. She grabbed the phone just as she waved to me with a big smile on her face. I chewed a bit of eggs and waved back awkwardly. Alice was quickly speaking, making me dizzy as she flitted across the kitchen in quick steps as she spoke even faster than a moment ago.
She hung up with a huff, flipping her stylish pixie cut over her shoulder with a sigh. She glanced back at me, waltzing up to me with graceful steps as she took my plate from my hands as she took me into a hug that warmed me; making me feel embarrassed.
I suddenly felt sad, my eyes filled with tears, and I let out a sob.
"Oh, honey what's the matter?" she asked, pulling back quickly, as if she were burned.
"I'm pregnant, I don't know what's wrong with me!" I said sadly, "Emmett asked me to marry him." I mumbled.
I covered my ears as Alice squealed at the very top of her lungs as she pranced around like a kid on a sugar high, and hugged me again while she was still jumping.
"You're totally not kidding right?! Because if you're kidding, I will totally hate you for telling me something so exciting! I've been waiting for Emmett to get married for like forever! He's the last of us that needs to be married and he's also the oldest, daddy was expecting him to be married first." She gushed with a happy stupid smile on her face.
"Alice, I'm not kidding." I said seriously, wiping away my tears as I looked her straight in the eye.
Alice was about to open her mouth to say something, but there was a sudden, frantic knock on the door.
"One minute, my lovely." Alice said, she pranced to open the for whoever had knocked.
All I saw was an outline of a person, before Alice yelled, "What in the hell do you want you bitch!?"
"Alice?! Who is it?!" I asked frantically.
Emmett POV
I adjusted me tie as I walked out of the business meeting that did not want to end. I growled at my father as he patted me on the shoulder.
"I'm sorry, son; I didn't mean to drag you out of making up with Rosalie, but there's something that we must discuss." My father said with a rather serious face as he waved me along to his office. I felt a knot of dire fall into my stomach, but I followed my father without any question.
We arrived to his office, where a couple of files were littered across his desk, which is odd, because father usually never left his office without putting things away.
"You know that I want you to follow in my footsteps, as the head of this hospital, since you are my first born, and a hell of a good surgeon at that." He said, dropping into his chair with a loud, tired sigh.
"Dad, you're not even fifty yet, shit, you're barely forty, don't talk about me following in your footsteps for godsakes. Just because all of your kids are weird, freakish geniuses; don't start pushing shit onto me now." I said.
Alice, Edward, and I had all skipped grades in between, and graduated high school extremely early; then we were thrown into the college life; we were all barely mid twenties, since my mother had given birth to us when she was young, very young. We were forced to grow up early, and wouldn't you know it, Alice and Edward in turn married more extremely intelligent/beautiful people at an even earlier age then what my parents got married—my parents were now expecting me to marry young as well, but I had never found someone that I wanted to truly settle down with, until Rosalie that is.
"I'm just glad Rosalie isn't like Alexa." My father sighed.
I punched down my hand on my father's desk, "Don't talk about her, dammit! Why in the fuck do you have to compare everyone to that stupid bitch?! We're over, and always will be, I'm with Rose now, I don't give a fuck about Alexa anymore!" I snarled.
"She's been spotted," my father said simply, shoving one of his files towards me. "Your mother and I took out a restraining order against her, but it's only good for the two of us, she can't come near our property, but yours is fair game."
"Fuck!" I took out my cell, punching in my home phone and listening to it ring…until my voice mail picked up. I began to panic, why didn't Rose answer the phone?
I was ready to leave when, "Emmett, Alice is over at your place. I told her to stay there until you arrive, I have one more matter of business to discuss before you leave."
"What?" I asked weakly.
He slid open the other file, containing various pictures of a woman…a woman who looked a lot like Rosalie..
"Is that…"
"Her mother yes, I've found her location."
