Amnesia came to slowly. Everything hurt; her head was fuzzy, her body bruised and battered, and she kept hearing this loud crashing that just wouldn't stop. She found herself buried in trash and her eyes widened as she had no clue where she was or how she had gotten there. She attempted to push herself off the ground to stand and cried out as she fell back, her arm clearly broken as she looks at it. Her eyes move to the object about a foot away from her. It was her project. An implant in her palm starts to glow and the stone wrapped in elegantly designed vibranium casing flies to her hand and causes another wave of pain to shoot through her arm.
She gets to her feet as more trash falls to the ground and slides to the spot she had previously occupied. She tenses up, very afraid as she doesn't recognize the sky above her. She's a long way from home. She's startled by movement and sees a figure emerge from a ship. She frowns and goes on the defensive but there's not a lot of energy nearby to draw from. Energy starts crackling up her arm through the stone though, but Amnesia barely notices.
"Are you fighter? Or are you food?"
"I'm Amnesia," she replies with a frown.
"Food," the person decided happily. Someone shoots a net at her and Amnesia raises an arm to block it on instinct and it just falls to the ground in front of her without having made contact with her like it hit a barrier. They surround her quickly despite this, reluctant to make a move albeit, and then another heap of trash falls from the sky only it's a man and he takes out a portion of them.
"Do not make an enemy of me," Amnesia warns. "I will make your head a living hell." Then they attack. Amnesia takes out as many as she can with one working arm before the stone lets out a burst of energy and sends all of her assailants that weren't already knocked out to the ground in crumpled heaps, drained of energy. Her eyes comb over the debris around them seeing no one get up and glances at her creation sticking to her palm.
The man that just fell from the sky starts groaning and Amnesia frowns and pokes him with her foot. He jerks up and Amnesia recognizes him. She frowns though because according to Shield through the knowledge of Thor, he's dead. He looks her over to see if she's a threat and moves on to the bodies around them.
"Where are we?" She asks betraying none of her current thoughts or emotions once she's allowed him a moment to gain his bearings.
"What makes you think I'd know? I just fell from the bloody bifrost, you probably saw it happen," he retorts sharply.
"Is Thor dead?"
"Oh I see you're one of his precious midgardians."
Amnesia allowed her anger to show on her face and reached out and projected one of James's memories of being punched in the face into his head. He winces in pain like he was actually hit. "I promised someone I would be home in four days. You're going to help me get there," she says as her white eyes flicker with hints of grey, the same shade as the stone in her hand.
"Who are you?"
"I'm Amnesia, and you destroyed my soldier's home, sent several of my friends down the path of ptsd, and I'd wager you killed your brother too."
"I didn't kill him. But why would you care? You're not his friend, he's never mentioned you."
"He hasn't met me. I just know everything."
"Our sister killed him," he replies dusting himself off and looking at the bodies again and then Amnesia with a curious look.
"Your sister being...Hella?" She questions filling in the blank using her knowledge of Norse mythology. He nods slightly focusing on the towers far away that mean civilization. "I thought that was written off as Norse myth. Actual myth. If I was able to start that thing, could you fly it?" He nods seeing her gesture to the ship her assailants had come from. "Let's hope someone can fix my arm," she mutters heading towards it. Loki follows, still unable to form a proper opinion on the small midgardian.
Amnesia started the ship as soon as her feet connected to the metal flooring. Loki slipped around her and to the cockpit sparing her a curious look as her eyes faded to a glowing red instead of the white. Amnesia's still tense, and her heart is stuck in her throat. She looks at the stone hanging limply in her hand and then to the raven haired ship's pilot.
"What do you know about the mind stone's previous owner," Amnesia asks immediately as soon as the question crosses her mind.
"A being far greater than you," he retorts hiding his discomfort on the subject with boredom.
"And you it seems," Amnesia mutters. "Lovely," she adds with a sigh realizing that said being will probably end up on Earth and the damage will be worse than New York.
"So you're one of Earth's mightiest heroes," he mocks.
"No. I'm not a hero. And I'm not part of that team," Amnesia says stopping before she says anymore deciding it might not be a good idea to let the man/god that tried to conquer the world know that the same people that stopped him are incapacitated.
"Yet you're so close to the members. Let me guess, they don't like the power you possess."
"I don't like Nick Fury. He doesn't like me."
"No that's not it. I'm the god of lies my dear."
"That's true, congratulations," she says taking her chance to mock him.
"How did you end up here?"
"I was testing a weapon and it didn't go over well."
"The infinity stone in your hand?"
"It's not an infinity stone. If it is, that means I'm above you on the god scale."
"You're impossible," he says genuinely meaning it as a compliment.
"Don't flirt with me. My boyfriend will kill you."
"You think I would dare lower myself to flirt with midgardian scum."
"I'm above your league, we just went over this."
"Let me do the talking," Loki states as he lands the ship.
"Sure," Amnesia says not convincing either of them. He rolls his eyes and leads the way off the ship which powers off as soon as she steps out of it. "Hi, we're looking for directions," Amnesia says smoothly seeing a woman in dark armor. "And a medic," she adds. Loki just looks grumpy and annoyed that she ignored him.
"You're not from around here," the woman observes.
"No. But we would greatly appreciate it if you would help us," Loki says taking over smoothly. "I'm sure we'll find someway to repay you."
"Stop being a condescending pig," Amnesia commands, switching attitudes at the drop of a head. "I just saved his life you think he'd be grateful and not just an ass."
"Come with me," the woman commands as aloof as could be. "Not you," she commands when Loki moves to follow her too. Amnesia chuckles.
"I was going to help you get home," Loki protests.
"No, you were going to stab me in the back first chance you got, and all for power you cannot yield," she says nodding to the stone attached to her broken arm. "Loki, prince of Asgard, god of mischief and lies, nothing will stand in the way of me getting home to my loved ones and you must think me an idiot if you believe I'll bring you with me much less trust you. You started something much bigger than you when you came for the tesseract. I'm going to finish it."
"I'll heal your arm," he replies casually.
"No you won't," the other woman Amnesia doesn't know says first. Loki's eyes start glowing green and Amnesia winces as her arm heals itself. She flex's her fingers around the stone glued to her hand and her eyes spark a steel grey for a moment before drifting back to the high energy white.
"2,087," Amnesia says staring at him and trying to mimic T'Challa's "regal judgement look" as she had taken to call it.
"What?"
"2,087 lives were took when your little army invaded New York. Besides, I like her better." Amnesia explains before following after the other woman. "Thanks for fixing my arm reindeer games."
"Stark," Loki mutters as she walks away, smirking because Stark indeed gave him that nickname. She saw the footage of Germany. She also saw what footage there was of the New York battle. She knows how Loki fights, how he acts, and she knows to never trust him under any circumstances. She analyzes the new girl. She's short with tanned skin and long dark hair. She's got silver face paint in line with her brown eyes. Her stance and muscle mass says fighter but the sway in her stance says drinker which means tragedy happened. Probably what made her end up here.
"So what normally happens now?" Amnesia asks, formulating her next move.
"Normally, I'd turn you in to the Grandmaster and sell you as a fighter. But you don't look like you could handle yourself in a fight. So I'm going to train you up a bit, then sell you."
"Okay. How about instead, you train me up then help me get back to Earth, or Midgard or whatever you might call it."
"There's no way to get out of here," she says with an eye roll.
"Well, I never looked too far into space travel, started to but I was too busy building other stuff but that big red thing in the sky looks like a collapsing neutron star and it's been theorized that passing through one transports you between worlds. I just need to hotwire a sturdy ship, find a pilot, and hope for the best."
"It's not going to work."
"Well, it's all I got. And no Asgardian will keep me from getting back. There's a war coming. But it's not coming here." Amnesia's eyes narrow when she catches the other girl flinch. The Asgardian bit was a shot in the dark but it paid off. "Isn't it in your duty to watch over the nine realms, keep the peace?"
"Not mine."
"Who died?"
"Stop asking questions," she commands tossing a disc onto Amnesia's neck.
"Or what?" Amnesia asks getting under her skin as much as possible. She just holds up a remote and presses a button, electrifying the disk on her neck. Amnesia smirks as her body naturally just absorbs the energy. "I see, you do that. Nice. Doesn't work like that though, at least not on me," Amnesia sets her hand on the girl's shoulder and drains her of energy then searches through her head for information. Her name is Brynhildr, she was a Valkyrie, we're stuck in a place called Sakaar which is ruled by the grand master. He likes pretty things and is entertained by fights to the death. The current champion bears a stunning resemblance to the Hulk and getting on the grandmaster's good side shouldn't be too much of a problem for her. She erases the girl's memories of her and then heads to the grandmaster's reception area.
