Amnesia is lucky. She realizes that immediately after speaking to three different people in the grandmaster' reception area. Apparently, she resembled someone he often spoke of, all of them promised he'd take a liking to her. So she set herself up in a spot to be noticed. When she saw him, he triggered a feeling of recognition in her, however, Amnesia had yet to find anything that she couldn't remember and passed it off as a resemblance to the actor from Jurassic Park.

He however, had paused what he was doing and stared at her like she was a ghost.

"What's your name child?" He asks softly, closing the ten feet between them.

"I'm Amnesia, and I'm trying to get home," she says. His eyes narrow and he holds out his hand for her to take, she does and as soon as she does he turns her wrist up, looking for a sign she's who he thinks she is, and frowns when he sees the scars from the IVs Hydra raised her with.

"What happened here?" He tuts with pursed lips and a serious expression that's very different from his usual demeanor.

"Rough childhood, raised by an evil organization. That sort of fairytale stuff."

"I'm the Grandmaster," he responds eventually, measuring the short girl in front of him debating what to do with her. If she is who he thinks she is, he doesn't know whether to be furious or ecstatic.

"I've heard great things," and several malevolent things too, she adds silently in her head as she plans out ways to make sure this meeting goes the way she desires.

"Come dear, we have lots to talk about," he says waving her along with him as he decides not to kill her...for now. She just frowns at the lack of dialogue and his easygoing attitude. Amnesia knew she should have read him when she had the chance even if it went against her morals. She'd do anything now. Anything to get back to her Soldier.

The grandmaster was a very busy man, but he wanted Amnesia to stay close and he kept eyes on her. She noticed immediately, but didn't make a fuss since he had given her a lavish room as opposed to forcing her into the dungeons or something. She wanted to know what made him tick, because he often kept his distance from her yet still managed to learn as much as possible about her when they did speak. She was a prisoner, she had no doubt but she was a prisoner he wanted happy and all of the research she put into figuring out why was yielding nothing.

He knew more than her and it didn't put her at ease.

She understood how the information networks worked here in only a few hours, she could hack into it almost as well as the systems on Earth, but there was nothing which led Amnesia to believe one thing: only the grandmaster knew and he hadn't had a reason to catalogue it.

"My dear, how are you settling?" The grandmaster asks the next day over brunch away from his court.

"Very well, thank you," Amnesia says, doing her best to hide her anxiety.

He frowns and looks her over then stands up from his "throne." "You don't have to lie young one. But I uh would like to know how you uh, how you got here," he says puttering through his question which Amnesia noted as a tick he had.

"I was testing an energy source out and it teleported me here, tossed me through a gateway," Amnesia says, giving him her hypothesis with a shrug.

"The tesseract? You should know better, where were you?" He asks and Amnesia frowns seeing a strange sort of anger on him. She absently rubs her thumb along the vibranium casing around her grim stone that has never left her hand since arriving here.

"Earth, Midgard. You know me, well recognized me at the very least, how?" Amnesia asks boldly.

"Why were you on Tarren?" He asks ignoring her question.

"Why wouldn't I be on Tarren?" Amnesia counters. They stare at each other for a long time, ignoring their food completely and instead engaged in a mind game. Amnesia's eyes narrow, wishing that she could get a read on him. His does the same as he wishes for the same thing.

"You, my dear, you are a direct descendant of one of the elders. When my brother sold me out he at least promised to keep an eye on you. He probably uh pawned you off or something. But here you are, safe and sound," Amnesia frowns, connecting the dots and looking over her...father. "The tesseract was on Tarren? Wow uh. He could've just picked it up himself. Easy. Should've expected this of him. There aren't any boyfriends I need to worry about right? I'm the grandmaster, not the grandfather."

"It doesn't make sense. I remember everything to ever happen in my life. I'm of Bulgarian origins. My mother sold me to Hydra first chance she got. There's no way. You must be thinking of someone else," Amnesia eventually says firmly.

"Uh yes way. I mean you're holding an infinity stone in your hand as we speak, no uh, no mortal could do that."

"It's not an infinity stone."

"No?"

"I made it."

"Further proof you're not mortal then. And uh, you've got special talents, don't think we didn't see you take out that scrapper."

"I wasn't born with that ability, I have that ability because of mad scientists," Amnesia counters and he raises an eyebrow.

"Why were they experimenting on you then dear?" He asks with a huff and he pulls her towards him, staring her in the eye before setting their foreheads together and pushing the information into her head. She stares at him in shock when they pull away less than a second later.

"I need James," she mumbles, panic going through her head as the basis of everything she knows shifts. She doesn't believe it though. Not completely. There's no way to prove anything without another testimony from the grandmasters brother. She considers things differently and admits that she doesn't recall absolutely everything from the experiments done to her. She could only remember what she was able to witness and those experiments were painful. Things were bound to slip through the cracks. Things that could only be recovered if there was a file kept on her. It was never put into the system she managed and the physical folder on her didn't contain too much. When the avengers had found her she considered that a blessing...now though?

She leaves the grandmaster and starts wandering aimlessly until she eventually stumbles upon a sort of training room. She's about to pass it until she sees the pair currently training.

Brynhildr and the Incredible Hulk. She walks into the room and observes patiently. The hulk before her doesn't match the hulk from all the footage she's seen. The hulk from the footage doesn't have moves, he's just a big guy that smashes stuff. The one before her now, actually has some moves. She wonders how big of a difference there is between the Hulk and Banner. No one ever thought to ask Banner. When they finish up she steps into the room.

"Hey big guy," Amnesia greets evenly, her posture relaxed, hands at her sides, stone stuck to her right palm, but her fingers uncurled and relaxed. She doesn't trust anyone enough to let her creation leave her hands, and no one besides her soldier will ever be able to pry it from her. She designed it that way.

"I'm Amnesia, it's good to see you," she says smiling slightly. "You don't know me, but you saved my life and I'm sure that everyone will be happy to know you're all right. It was a dick move running from Nat though. She's really closed herself off since then but I suppose it's good you weren't involved in the accords fight though. The government created some laws to control the avengers and Steve and Tony fought over them and some other things which led to a fall out. Now, the only ones that aren't on the run are Rhodes, Tony and kind of Vision. Vision is hooking up with Wanda who is on the run; I think they really love each other. Tony recruited some fifteen year old. I wish you were there to help me knock some sense into him for that one. Thor is gone we haven't heard from him since he left. I haven't met him either. Loki is alive though. He nearly landed on top of me when he fell through. I thought he'd be more impressive. I gather he was a bit shaken though. Steve, Nat and Sam all took off together, keeping a low profile. I don't think Steve will ever get that picket fence at this rate and Sam will never have a girlfriend. Tony is...Tony is barely holding it together anymore. If it weren't for Pepper... We missed you a lot," Amnesia says lightly, growing sad as she reflects on everything that went down in the past few years.

"You miss Banner," he says and Amnesia shakes her head.

"We missed you both. If it weren't for the Incredible Hulk, no one would know who Banner is. There are several other smart people on Earth. His mind is a gift, but the world would progress the same, perhaps slower, nonetheless."

"The grandmaster is looking for a someone that matches your exact description," Brynhildr says joining them.

"Yes, I suppose he is," Amnesia murmurs. "You're a giant teddy bear aren't you?" Amnesia asks the hulk softly, her tone warm yet sad.

"Hulk is Hulk."

"Not in a bad way. I just mean that you're a big softie around people that you like."

"Hulk not soft. Hulk big, tough," he says loudly and Amnesia smiles slightly recalling her soldier in battle, and how big and tough he is. The smile turns wistful when she remembers how gently he'd handle her, like she was some china doll that would break if the slightest bit of pressure was put on her.

"Its a good thing. Everyone should have a soft spot. It means you're not alone and you have to trust that it won't be used against you," she says faraway, back in her hut with the "Up" soundtrack playing as she and James waltz around.

"Weakness gets you hurt," Brynhilder says stiffly. Amnesia looks her over again, knowing the tragic events that lead the woman to be stuck here.

"Sometimes. But other times it makes you an unstoppable force of will," she replies with a nod because she shares this opinion, especially in regards to welcoming another into her family. "Will you train me? I'm not very good in combat. I always hurt myself whenever I punch someone and I don't want to have to depend on my abilities to take someone down," Amnesia says absently looking at the girl.

"What are you paying me?" She asks.

"How much do you want?" Amnesia asks knowing she can manipulate the digital currency they use here easily. Getting to James may be much more difficult than she wants it to be.

"5 million," she says after a moment.

Amnesia nods, then walks over to a panel in the wall, opens it, then dives into the system sorting through what she's seeing and finding what she needs to. It takes her ten minutes. She then wordlessly walks out of the room after giving her a time to meet her here tomorrow.
